Don't we all wish we had more time!! This is exactly how I felt when I went to this science center. It is such a beautiful place to spend your day but unfortunately we had to run. If you're going as adults don't turn this opportunity away. It might feel strange and you might see so many families with children but this place is definitely made for adults. Especially when when you can find long and length descriptions describing the woman's body in relation to pregnancy stages. I truly love the dinosaur excavation room, reptile room, rocks under various UV light, The large globe showing different weather and earth scenes from space, The puzzle and musical open space area, along with the rotating human body. I just wish we could've seen the planets and the stars but unfortunately we were running short on time. Stuff at the gift shop also very friendly and I'm more than willing to answer any questions sometimes in certain but overall willing to show an item on display. Thankfully I found out that you don't need to pay Admissions to get into the gift shop I was hoping to come back the next day. Sadly we did not come the next day to prove if this was true. :-p

Always a solid choice when shopping for kids and the bonus is using your membership discount for purchases. Over the years, we've bought many gifts here from books to science experiment kits and posters from exhibitions the kids have loved. When I visit a store like Toys R Us, I am just overwhelmed by the volume of junk. Here I always get ideas and inspirations so the gifts aren't as generic. Nice size store with a mix of core items and those that rotate with the current exhibitions. So for example, right now they have all sorts of gaming and Narnia memorabilia. They even have a jewelry counter. So ladies, you can gift yourself as well.

I am still not sure how in all the years of going to omsi every week I have not reviewed the gift shop. Now it is your typical give shop it's got remerciez Chinese flag that must be 3 times over the price of where you can get anywhere on the Internet. That said it's a very interesting assortment they have there. I cannot say I have personally purchased anything from this store being an Oregon resident and of the Internet age. I will say they have some cool things to look at and things for grandparents in visiting people to get. They will usually have themes going along with their exhibits which is always fun. I also like that the people working there are quite understanding that many of the people in there are just looking and playing and they do not make you feel out of place. Definitely worth the stop in and occasion all purchase of something catches your eye, but I often find myself saying to my son's you know that's only a few dollars on the Internet. And without said millennials are killing everything

There is a lot of neat science things to be found at the OMSI store. They have t shirts, books, toys, stuffed animals, posters, decorations, science kits, home goods like mugs, and so much more. As can be expected, prices are high but for many visitors it's worth it. They have something for everyone in your family.

One time visit only. I would not recommend to visit second time. 2 hours should be good enough to explore.

Lots of cool stuff to buy fairly reasonable too. I need to make another trip for their umbrellas.

Kids kids kids everywhere smelling like candy and dirty diapers. If you have kids cool, not recommended if you prefer adult company.

Yo, the museum itself was dope, but the clerk at the store was super helpful.

This Kinokuniya is the best option for Japanese stationary products in greater Portland. There's…read moreanother much smaller one embedded in the Uwajimaya Asian Market in Beaverton. My Son led me here last weekend when I was in town. There was lots of notebooks, pens, and other stuff to consider, and having a Kinokuniya membership (10% off) was a bonus. David was more interested in the manga books, and we were happy browsing in our own little corners. We both happily came away with a small collection of treasures and a promise to return. There were lots of folks here, making the aisles a little tight. But checkout moved quickly and efficiently.

Had a really great visit to this newer Kinokuniya Bookstore. You wouldn't necessarily know it was…read morea Japanese bookstore if you just walked by because it's a little bit tucked in - however it looks like they reused an old movie theater sign to help get your attention. The store is much larger than the one in Chicago! So of course there was a much wider selection of goods, including a lot more Alien Stage items (know the teens are a fan of this show). We ended up signing up for the annual membership which gives you 10% off your purchase immediately and you rack up points (who doesn't love points) which will add up to more savings. We purchased a hard to find art book. Service was friendly, and answered all the questions we had on the membership, not rushing us at all to make the decision.
