Made a reservation to be picked up to go to SFO at 12:00pm. Was given a courtesy call at 11:15 and again a few minutes before 12:00 as the driver was there right on time. I appreciated them living up to their name because the last thing you want to do is stress out about being late to an international flight with your family, especially my family :) The cab was clean, air-conditioned and driven quickly yet safely by a driver who was friendly and polite. We called them again to reserve our pick-up from the airport and had the same experience. I highly recommend these guys if you're in the area and need a ride. read more

What a nice guy! I had a job interview yesterday and had last minute car problems right before it. I knew it would be expensive but instead of taking the bus/light rail, I figured the cab would be worth it so I'd be less stressed and able to focus. I made an online reservation and the dispatch guy called me a few minutes later to confirm. The driver came right when I asked, picked me up from Palo Alto and drove me to San Jose. Luckily there was no traffic and by the time we got there, I still had some time before my interview. I was hungry and we saw a McDonald's nearby. So the driver went over and got into the drive through line. I was worried about the meter and told him I'd just go inside and walk back to the office. But he said not to worry about the meter. Instead, he stayed in the drive through line, waited with me and even treated me to coffee! When we got back to the office for my interview, I pulled out my credit card (yes, there's an app for that!) and he didn't charge me the whole amount. (Don't remember the exact meter, but I paid something like $45 instead of $60) He said that since I was looking for a job, he didn't want me to pay full price as long as I wrote him a Yelp review. Not only did he calm my stresses about my interview, he treated me to coffee and gave me a huge discount......he TOTALLY MADE MY DAY!!!! Got a ride back from SFO and usually a cab ride is well over $100 but they gave me a flat rate of $80 - which i was really happy about. The van was clean and the driver was safe and courteous. Enjoyed the service! Will def use again! read more

I recently got an email from On Time Yellow Cab with an apology for the bad experience I had in September; hence I am giving them 2 stars for the effort to apologize. Apology accepted. The apology was great... they even offered to refund my cab ride and offered another airport ride for free... until I got to the part "kindly remove your review from Yelp..." There is a reason why there are websites like Yelp. It is to review businesses. And my experience was horrible so I gave 1 star (0 star in my book). I am NOT going to remove a review just because you apologize and bribe me with a refund and a free cab ride. It was a nice gesture to make things right, but I am repulsed by the request to remove my review. So the answer is "no, I will not remove my post and you can keep your dirty money." read more

Perfect experience with this Taxi Company. I was staying at Stanford for a few days and could not find any other reliable transportation. I asked him how much it would be to the closest train station and he was able to get me there without any problems, He later drove me to a concert at the shoreline and was even able to come back and pick me up without any hassles...The service was superior. On Time Yellow Cab is a great service and a class act. I used them to drive me home from the Jason Aldean concert. Side note: the driver, Sonny, told me that all cabbies love country concerts because, surprisingly enough, they are they only concerts at Shoreline that consistently sell out and produce the need for cabs) My phone was dead and Sonny was nice enough to let me use his charger but then I accidently left my phone there when I got out (too much fun at the concert). I was able to get ahold of him and he told me he had it and would drop it off first thing the next morning. He didn't ask for any extra money or a tip; he just showed up as promised and returned my phone to me, fully charged. read more

I travel a lot and it's nice to finally find a reliable cab service that listens to what you have to say. I'm use to those dull taxi drivers that drive fast, quote the wrong price and make you feel like its the last ride of your life. He quoted me a very reasonable price compared to other taxi services I called and to top it off my taxi driver's affable demeanor and attitude made me feel so comfortable! I got 5 Star treatment! I get really anxious before I fly and getting in a cab with a friendly person is what I usually need. He was on time and picked me up at the exact location I told him to meet me. Nothing so offensive, just annoying. Reserved online over 2 hours before, got the confirmation. Waited around at Caltrain for 10 minutes after the reservation time to call them. Dispatcher said there was no reservation for me/at that time (I have the confirmation in my e-mail). Whatever, not a big deal... just send one over. "it will be there within 10 minutes". 20 minutes later, I gave up and there was a driver from another company sitting there, so went with him. 4 hours later, I've still yet to get any sort of "I'm here" call from On Time (lolz) Yellow Cab. Not a huge deal, life will go on. But it's annoying that I had planned to be *at least* 20 minutes early for where I was going, and ended up being nearly 10 minutes late (and no thanks to OTYC for getting me there at all). read more

The taxi arrived on time. However, the driver refused to accept the fixed rate price mentioned in their email message. As a result, we had to pay $30 more. This is like unhonest cheating for the customer. Why would you offer a fixed price with no intent to fulfill it? Besides, the driver kept talking on phone while driving on 101 and almost hit another car. Overall we won't recommend this taxi company, too much hassle to deal with. read more

My daughter and I were going to the Stanford v San Jose State football game on September 3rd. We stopped off in Mountain View to grab some lunch before the game and when we went to the car to go to the game, the car wouldn't start. Not wanting to miss the game, I called a cab and picked On Time Yellow Cab. They came to pick us up within ten minutes. I made a reservation for an early morning pickup en route to the airport. They never showed or called, and no one answered the phone when I called them repeatedly to see where they were. I missed my flight. Can't really have a worse experience than that. This was the worst experience I had in my life. I asked them to send a cab to my place 50mn later. 1h later, the cab was still not here. I called the company again and they just told me that since they were busy, the cab might or might not come. And then hang up on me. I called again twice and they kept hanging up. Until, 2hrs later, the cab finally arrived at my place... In the meantime, they also used my mobile number to send me about 10 text messages with ads for their company.. I've used their service several times and they live up to the name and are always on time. They also do last minute pick ups when I called several hours in advance. I like how the drivers have card readers which make it for easy payment and everyone has been friendly. On time, reasonable rates, large capacity vehicles too! I used On Time Yellow Cab to get to Oakland airport on April 14th, 2012. It was an early morning pick-up and we needed a large vehicle since we were 5 people with 5 small bags and 2 large bags. I had never used them before so naturally I was nervous since I have had an experience before where the taxi did not show up and I had to scramble to get to the airport on time. The taxi arrived 5-10 minutes early and had enough space for all of us and all our bags. Their rates were reasonable too, cheaper than the other place we called which wanted to charge a lot more for the larger car. Rates were one ollar lower than the other drivers in the area and the cab driver was as helpful as could be! Please DO NOT use this service unless perhaps you can get a hold of someone on the phone to make your reservation. I was making my reservation with less than 24 hours notice (which I thought was risky but fine because nothing said otherwise on the website), so I decided to call to make the reservation to be sure. I called both numbers, no one answered and the mailbox was full. Normally, this would be my signal to try a different service, but the places I'd been calling were all booked up. So I decided to fill out the online reservation form for an at-home pickup in the early morning. I instantly got a confirmation email, which also seemed fishy to me, as though no one had actually checked if there was any availability. But I wanted to believe in the email and so I did. Don't be like me! I ended up standing outside my house at 5:20 in the morning with no ride. I waited 10 minutes-- nothing. I tried calling both numbers again-- nothing. Mailbox full. So I end up having to frantically secure a ride which was obviously very difficult at 5:30 on a weekend morning. Thankfully I found something but moral of the story-- don't use this service! read more

Oh, the irony of this company called 'On Time' Yellow Cab. I made a reservation for a pickup at 10:30am. I called their 650 number to confirm the reservation, and he said, "Yeah, the driver's on the way". At 10:40am, the cab driver calls me saying that he'll be 15-20min late. I told him that it's okay and just to get here as soon as possible as I didn't want to miss my flight, esp for Mother's Day weekend. He calls me back 5-10min later, telling me that he couldn't make it! He then gives me the number for Luxor Cabs, who responded quickly. The security line took forever to get through! I had to cut in front of several people, as my plane was already boarding. I got to my flight about 10-15min before take-off! Saved by Luxor Cabs! I'm sticking with Luxor Cabs from now on.
