I had an extremely negative experience with a PRX facial at this clinic, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Before the treatment even started, I was explained by the sales rep during one of their events this is perfect for event nights. I specifically booked the appointment when I had an important event. ! clearly told the provider which skincare products I use--including Vitamin C and Obaji (products they sell themselves)--and was told it was fine. I was given no meaningful pre-care guidance, which is completely unacceptable for a treatment involving active ingredients. The treatment itself was shockingly aggressive and painful. This was not "slightly uncomfortable"--it was a 9/10 pain level, with my eyes tearing throughout. She started with what said was was gently washing my face which already felt like exfoliation and abrasive. Based on everything I've since seen and read, this is not how this treatment is supposed to be performed. I even watched a live demo of this and it looked effortless. This young 21 year old they had made it feel like I was in the Korean spa getting my first layer of skin sloshed off. It felt careless and improperly executed, incredibly abrasive and aggressive. Nothing like a massage. Immediately afterward, my face was covered in red bumps and blotchy irritation. I had an event the same evening, she said I would be fine. My skin looked significantly worse than before I walked in. Instead of improving my skin, this treatment visibly damaged it. To make matters worse, the only aftercare I was given was a faded, barely legible printout, and I was quickly ushered out the door with no real explanation. Nothing except a piece of paper. Is this how you treat human beings when you should be the expert? No one took the time to properly walk me through what to expect or how to care for my skin after such an aggressive procedure. This experience showed a serious lack of professionalism, training, and basic client care. Between the poor communication, disregard for the products I was using, and the way the treatment was performed, I do not feel this service was done safely or correctly. While the clinic did respond after I complained, that does not undo the experience or the condition my skin was left in. I would strongly caution others before booking this service here. I have reason to believe that the "nurse" performing this named Isabelle seemed very inexperienced. I should also mention that this was hard to book this appointment as they had no one on staff to do it on the day I needed it and then suddenly they had someone with a lot of 'expertise' on hand to do it. I think I was her first patient and she had clearly no idea what she is doing. Also they offered me a release form to sign as they know they did something wrong. I should also add that when speaking to the owner about this she seemed careless, stood behind her staff and dismissed all of my complaints as issues. They offered contradictory info, between when I bought this package and when out I tried to book it. They are all about selling, not actually following thru on what they sell. read more

She gives incredible facials and always recommends great treatment plans for my skin, I can tell she cares a lot about her clients and her work and it shows in her facials. As a first time Botox user, I was worried about everything that could possibly go wrong. The staff has been extremely helpful in answering all my questions and explaining every procedure I've gone through. They have made me much more comfortable with receiving skin care and helped change my views on getting facial work done. BEWARE! Do NOT waste your money here!! I went for a Botox brow lift (which, I have had successfully done many times before) and explained that I was on a budget and that my main goal was to obtain symmetry of my eyebrows. 2 weeks later my brows look the same (one much lower than the other) and honestly, the weaker brow seemed even weaker and heavy. I could raise one eyebrow but not the other. The injector said she did not feel comfortable doing anything else and that I would have to wait until it fully wore off! I called and spoke with a manager and asked for solutions and they said they would look at it but that I would be charged for anything that was done. Seriously? I was shocked. So, I paid with my hard earned money, to get the opposite of what I asked for and they said "too bad". No offer to fix it at no cost or partial refund or anything at all. Really disappointing business practices. I will never be back and will make sure none of my friends go either. Do better! **response to owners feedback** I DID go back for my two week and we looked at before and after photos, and she saw exactly what I'm describing and agreed it wasn't ideal! Laser hair removal for Black Americans (and others with darker skin) don't always end with good results. Melissa answers all of my questions and concerns. I went to see the terrific ladies at GLOW salon. I was getting treatment #4 of a lasering of a regrettable name tattoo. The Nurse laser operator was super sweet: non judgmental, very warm and friendly, very patient, and not at all rushed. She explained the procedure, used a cooling air treatment instead of ice cubes, and the pain was decreased significantly. At the end of the procedure, she asked me what I thought I should pay, what I was "used to paying" . She then gave me a price that was $50 lower!!!! My skin is oily, so it's expected for it to be a breeding ground for bacteria that creates acne and blackheads. I went to see Helen Gaye for my first-ever set of lash extensions and I couldn't be more pleased! The process takes some time and you have to keep your eyes closed throughout, which could have made for a pretty boring experience, but Helen Gaye and I had a wonderful conversation which kept me entertained. My lashes look fabulous and my eye makeup routine is a snap with the extensions! Helen Gaye gave me plenty of information on how to care for the extensions to lengthen their lifespan and her advice must have worked because I had heard that the extensions typically last about 2 weeks, but mine are still going strong after 3 weeks! I went to see Ann for my skin. I've always had terrible acne since I was 13 or so. I've done the dermatologist route with antibiotics and such, but it never has worked for me. I lived in Los Angeles for a couple of years and was able to find an esthetician who did wonders for my skin. With my recent move to Nashville, I've been on the hunt to find another miracle worker. I stumbled upon Glow through yelp and saw all the great reviews for Ann. I made an appointment with her for the same day! Which I was really impressed I was able to do that as a new client. Immediately after meeting Ann, she made me feel 100% comfortable and at ease. I explained my whole history with my skin, including my LA experience. She went over a whole maintenance schedule I can do with her and at home right away. She is very knowledgeable and she really listened to me about everything I do and do not like. When going over the different treatments and products, I never once got the impression she was out to make money. The treatment I originally went in for, which cost $75, she had recommended I don't have that treatment done just yet and instead do a different treatment she thought would work better with my skin, which cost $60! I was thrilled to see she really is thinking about your skin first and foremost. When it came to her working on me, she was fantastic! Ann was very informative about everything she was going to do to my face and let me know what I should be feeling. Also, she took her time, which was super nice to see. I saw Ann at Glow for laser hair removal. She was really wonderful with the intake questions (first-timer here), and made me feel really comfortable. She prepared me well for what was about to happen, and it was a great first experience. Mild and pleasant. Also, you have to feel good about an aesthetician whose skin looks like a baby's.
