We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and I loved seeing the variety of products they carried. There were so many cool household items, clothing pieces, and of course, fragrance! We spent most of our time in the fragrance section, and the associate helping us was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She made the experience even more enjoyable and gave us plenty of time to explore and smell different fragrances. Such a unique and fun place to shop! I'd definitely recommend stopping in if you're in Houston.

The selection of individual stuff was a bit lacking but they did have a lot of stuff (for example, not a lot of Jellycat plushies or Ravensburger puzzles or Baggu bags but they managed to have these items). The candle/perfume and apothecary sections were heavily scented and honestly kind of sickening. Things are priced ABSURDLY here. I saw a shot glass for $200. It's a place to walk with friends & guffaw at the prices. Be careful walking around the glassware - one stumble could cost you thousands. I managed to purchase a bowl for $8, discounted because it was missing the chopsticks that accompany it, & the cashier ran after me after checkout to give me the chopsticks ($16) for free because she found them after I checked out. Great customer service.

The associates are attentive and helpful without hovering, a balance between service and allowing customers to browse comfortably. What I especially appreciate is the atmosphere. Unlike many of the Houston stores that are often crowded with demanding customers, this location maintains a calm, pleasant environment that makes shopping enjoyable. It truly feels like a hidden gem. It's also one of the few BBW stores in Houston that I haven't witnessed the constant, brazen shoplifting that has unfortunately become commonplace in retail and especially in this crime ridden city. Combined with the exceptional merchandise and thoughtfully curated inventory, the River Oaks store offers a refined shopping experience that keeps me coming back. It has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop in Houston.

I did place my order online and their system to make your purchase is very easy. I opted to pick up my online order at the store. I was immediately greeted and directed to where I could pick up my online order. This was a simplified process. I decided to get another scent that I did not order online, as well as trade out one that I had ordered online for something I liked better. They worked with me and were so gracious in allowing me to make my trade out, and I appreciated it. There was a scent that I wanted that this location ran out of, they were kind enough to call the neighboring store for assistance (their Rice Village location) just minutes away. The Rice Village location had what I needed and then some! Something that really impressed me about the Rice Village team was how friendly and warm they were! Their customer service was on 10! Cudos to them! Over all a great experience! Of course, I will be back.

Which I'm thankful for because they have changed their policy whereas its not as simple as before. I appreciate the lady who informed me of the policy to whereas the return updates monthly or either every 3 months. Not annually as I thought. I thought it was just $250 per year of return and exchanges without a receipt. I'm not the best to keep up with paper with receipts, and I really dislike whenever they select the choice for me, if I want it print or emailed. Now if you going to choose something for anyone, select BOTH, not just one, especially when you have this strict policy on returns. which is why I try to stay out as much as I use to shop there.

Sift through the bin of seasonal clearance items to fill your bag with goodies for your kitchen and bathroom. Discounts range from 50-75% off. Passed on the Halloween items, but added several fall fragrances like pumpkin apple and lemon poppyseed to use in the kitchen. This new location is okay. The store was empty. Parking is now for a fee, although parking in the garage down the street is still free for a couple of hours. No sink to wash your hands, but plenty of hand sanitizer is available.

I then started to smell other fragrances to see if there was anything similar, and the employees took the time to show me fragrances with the scents I like. A man (I wish I remembered his name) and Nadia were both excited to help me as I smelled different ones. They made thoughtful recommendations without being pushy. I ended up leaving with a Kilian perfume and I've received so many compliments on it since purchasing it! While I'll still visit another Sephora location to look for the original perfume I had in mind, I'm so glad I got this one to add to my collection. The customer service was outstanding, and Nadia and her coworker are very nice.

There are only a handful of spots right in front of the store, and they've always been taken when I've gone. There is a parking garage nearby, so if you really need something, you can park, but it definitely feels like a hassle compared to other locations. The staff here is nice, though not as attentive or welcoming as the teams at the Galleria or Memorial City Mall. I wasn't expecting a Times Square-level experience (which, by the way, I do recommend if you're ever in NYC), but this store feels noticeably smaller than most Sephoras I've been to. That said, they still manage to carry a good variety of products, just in a more limited space. If you're looking for something specific, I'd suggest checking online before you go. I've used the in-store pickup option here and it was convenient, but I don't come to this location to browse. Overall, it's not bad--just not one I'd go out of my way for.
