For your Mayfield Common Location…read more There is a high turnover of supervisors. The manager does not get along with any of her staff and will cause drama to get any employee in trouble. Outperforming the manager causes her to become insecure with herself so she will personally attack employees. Every employee present or past have a conflict with Dawn (manager). Even the relationship with Dawn and regional manager is very conflicting and petty. Dawn works only once in awhile for this location and expects supervisors to do all the work for her. Time for new management who will actually put in the work! Very lazy manager! Manager brings no value to the workplace.

You can hit some seriously good sales here and best part - you can return clothing to them with receipts and tags still on forever. So don't be afraid to stock up for next summer or winter and if your kiddo goes through a bizarre growth spurt you can still return. The staff are always willing to check for sizes at another store and I find are pretty friendly overall. The checkout lines always seem to move slow... not sure why but be prepared to wait. They carry Kombi gloves/hats which you can also buy at MEC or Campers Village for twice the price. I'll often get them here at 50% off or more after winter for the next season (super warm, washable, and durable). My kids love the Carters PJ's and at Xmas time they get in footed ones up to size 12. I'd really LIKE to see them bring in a 14 so my kids could continue to have adorable matching Xmas footie onesies but I know, I know... they have to stop the sizes at some point. See you soon Carters!

But if you go earlier or any other time, it's not so bad. I stopped by today to see if they would have anything for my little brother, and now I'm officially done my Christmas shopping. Woohoo, pat on the back for me! I know, I'm nuts. It wasn't that busy today, probably also because I went around noon hour. They had a clearance table of toys first thing when I walked in, and I was so stoked to find some really good toys for $1. Great stocking stuffers! I ended up getting my brother a really cool Disney Wall-E robot toy (no, not from the clearance, silly). I can't wait til he opens it on Christmas -- maybe he'll even let me try it out. That's probably another reason why I love Toys R Us too -- I'm still totally a kid, and I can spend hours here, playing with and looking at kids' toys. They always have a huge section of family board games, and then another for science and educational toys, books, electronic games and dvd's, bikes and outdoor sports toys, and of course the baby section. You can pretty much split the store into two halves too -- boys and girls. The girls section has dolls and is literally this big pink area. It really looks like someone just threw a bunch of Pepto everywhere. The boys section on the other hand, is full of toy cars and action figures. Of course. When it's not so busy, the service is pretty good. It's not hard to find a staff member there and ask them a question. They also have those price-checking machine thingies, where you just stick the item under it and scan the barcode for the price. Very convenient, as many items don't have the price directly on them.

I've found this location to be very hit and miss for variety, sizes, and customer service…read more My most recent trip here was during boxing week. I had ordered about $200 of clothes online for the kids for Christmas in November. Upon my daughter unwrapping one of the items, we discovered that the security tag was on the item DESPITE it being an item mailed to us from shopping online. I came in to the store and asked to have the security tag removed from my online order. The look and treatment we were given, was quite disappointing. Almost as though we were being accused of shoplifting. The woman (who I believe to have been a shift supervisor or manager) was quite harsh in tone and said repeatedly that they wouldn't take it off without the receipt. I suggested to her that we call the Gap 1-800 number so they could look up my order and confirm to her that I had paid because I had long ago recycled all the packaging/invoice in November. Eventually she agreed to just take the tag off, I guess she didn't want to call the 1-800 number but the treatment we received and the tone that we were spoken to was quite disappointing. We had planned on buying some other stuff there that day but my husband was having none of that after our experience. So we walked just around the block to Osh Kosh Carters and Justice and happily boxing day shopped there. This most recent experience would be a 2 star for sure but I'll still give it a 3 overall.

I've been running around from store to store with no luck. I decided to try Roots since it was close. I asked the clerk if there were any leather gloves. She said, "One left". Would you believe they were made exactly for my short, stubby hands? The only problem was the price. $88.00 Yikes. Not on sale. Ugh. I had to take them. They are beautiful. The cash-out procedure is the usual annoying thing. We need your email, we will spam you forever.... Very nice staff. The store is so clean and organized. Much nicer than the one on Whyte Ave. Of course the parking is better too. Sanitation station by the front door.

I'm used to outlets offering different lines, albeit sometimes at a lower quality, so it's nice that they are selling the same quality. The main attraction is that they have a sizable clearance section in the back. We all know that Roots can be a bit spendy, so this is the way to stretch your dollars a bit further. Seriously, if I had known about this store, I would have just come here rather than going to the other location first. I got some great deals that I was happy with, and I was even able to use a coupon to sweeten the deal.

Part of the…read morereason I've purchased so many shoes this year is that I've worn a considerable number of shoes out lately. I get great service from Maria when I go there, and even when they have sales (that may be at other geographic locations) I don't mind searching the store for a pair of shoes that would be adequately awesome for my needs because I know that they only sell GOOD QUALITY shoes that will be mostly comfortable for my feet. While I am a woman who wears skirts and dresses more often than not, I am unlikely to wear uncomfortable footwear and Sole Experience carries so many styles of comfortable yet attractive footwear that I've had the pleasure of buying a good number of shoes here and have worn three of these pairs straight out of the store without needing to really break them in (unlike many of my purchases made elsewhere. While I do shop elsewhere for shoes on occasion, Sole Experience is the reason I look out for particular brands and styles and have a better understanding of what fits my feet best. Shoe purchases are never stress/worry free for me, but I've had more luck than not while shopping here, both for flats and for heeled shoes, including sporty styles and more fashionable shoes.
