I was greeted by Wonder Woman (it was Halloween) and she was very friendly and helpful. She let me browse the store without pressure (which I really appreciate because some stores can put a lot of pressure on you to purchase). Other than Christmas decorations, Jilly's a bit of everything! There is clothing in the back (it's very expensive though - so expensive I almost choked on my gum). They also have numerous home decor items, candles, bath and soap products, they have a lot of stuff. The sale section towards the back of the store drew me in immediately (it had purses). I really liked Jilly's. I will be going back to shop soon!

But this place was like a candy store for me :) My favourite sections in the store were the Farmhouse Fresh skin care line (get the Whoopie Cream lotion), the gurgle pots, and the Volcano candles. Now that they've created a new listing I am copying my review here: When Birth Source closed earlier this year the local natural parenting community lost a much-loved resource. So I was thrilled when I heard that Tracey was re-opening with a new name, location, and partnership! The shop is now located in Ritchie, right near Acme Meats. They have made excellent use of the new smaller space and carry all the awesome products Birth Source used to (like my favourite Padraig slippers!) and it sounds like they've got some great new stuff coming too. They've also got a play area to keep your little ones occupied while you shop. As an avid babywearer I am excited to once again have a brick and mortar store with a great carrier selection and staff who are educated in proper babywearing. This is definitely going to be my go-to spot for friends who need a new sling, wrap, or other type of carrier.

Every single thing in this store is so damn cute, including the owner. She was funny, had great conversation and told us lots about the makers and various store items. Everything from stationary (I am in love with the journals they sell) to decorative pillows, air plants to jewelry... This has become the go-to stop for all my gifting needs. Staff here are definitely passionate about the locally made movement, and are often makers themselves. Despite the address being on 122 St, it's actually located in a ground floor suite right on 121 St right across from the Brewery District, close-ish to 104 Ave. There is angled parking out front. It's a cute and quaint little boutique filled with treasures beautifully displayed. My favourite was a selection of jewelry tucked in between pages of an antique novel by the door (when you see it, you'll understand). There was inspirational home decor, some cool stuff like concrete diamonds, some baby and kid's clothing (including these adorable baby headbands), lots of unique jewelry, cool razors, little succulents.. It's a bit like shopping at a local market but with everything in one pretty place. There is even a little coffee corner at the back. Prices seemed pretty reasonable. I would definitely recommend popping if you're looking for some unique gifts.

The store doesn't have an exact closing date but it won't be very long. Currently seasonal items are 60-70% off (some seriously cute Xmas décor and ornaments) and the remainder of the store is 20-30% off. They have really cute jewellery and unique items for special gifts. I really like their line of moon necklaces/bracelets where you pick the phase of the moon on a special date (birth, death, wedding, etc.) and can wear it as jewellery. I also like their sparkly Swarovski crystal bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. Some stuff here for sure can be found elsewhere or online for less but that's not the point of a boutique store. It's getting to go somewhere and browse through various collections to find the perfect gift for someone special. If you're a fan of s'well bottles, they still have a fairly good collection of unique ones and at 20% off you're paying a fair price for the designer s'wells. (Note you can get plain jane ones at Costco for $30) but the ones here are GORGEOUS and make me smile. Well I just adore this store!…read more Often you walk into gift shops, and yes, everything is lovely but you just don't really see anything practical; or everything is really expensive, or really niche. But at the Prettiest Present they really have a great variety of really useful gifts! From presents for those pooch peeps, to culinary and kitchen gadgets - as well as neat necessities. Then there are the baby gifts, the seasonal decor for your own abode, a wall of tempting teas and some really unique jewelry. And then the pies de resistance... they have the most fabulous collection of gift bags, gift boxes and paper so that when you find that perfect present you can also wrap it up without having to go to another store! Love it!! Although, I do not remember seeing ribbon or cards, I could be wrong, or maybe that's just asking for the moon. Pro Tip: Make sure to go into the basement! Often you go into a store like this and assume that down the steps is just a small smattering of a few other things. But in this case the basement is the majority of the shop.
