When it was in Townline Plaza, the store was bigger, there was a lot more as far as selection and the store was fairly clean. Since the move to the mall, this Old Navy has gone down hill quickly. 1) It's a smaller location. It's half the size of the Townline Plaza location and seemingly, there is half the merchandise and selection. Everything is cramped and crammed together. 2). The Old Navy in Townline Plaza had EVERYTHING. Jeans? Check. Work clothes? Check? Shoes? Check. Work out gear? Check. Casual clothes? Check. PJ pants? Check. Now the Meriden Mall location only seems to carry jeans and workout clothes. It's frustrating to see a wall of jeans and then a section for yoga pants and t-shirts with some really messy racks of clearance merchandise interspersed. I love Old Navy khakis for work but this location hasn't stocked khakis since the summer. 3) This place is DIRTY. There's dust and dirt EVERYWHERE. There are dustballs in the dressing rooms. There are piles of clothes in the dressings rooms because the staff apparently doesn't pick up the clothes on a regular basis. Clothing is sloppily hung on the hangers and on the racks. It's like shopping in a dollar store or flea market. 4) The staff is brain crushingly slow-speed wise and mentally. It does not take much to ring people out but even with all four registers open, there's always a line. Speed it up! Your 29.50 jeans are not worth the time spent in line to pay for them. I don't know if Old Navy is pandering to the high school demographic these days but this is a really disappointing store. If I want to go to Old Navy (and their jeans fit me the best, unfortunately), I'll go after work to West Hartford.

I contacted kohls on FB I told them I was upset and I have every right to be I paid full price for a USED PRODUCT. I told them I had to use it in a timely manner they were already closed so I washed it picked all the dried up apple off of it and used it. they told me to return it to the store. I already used it and cleaned it that's not the issue the issue is this store is allowing DIRTY PRODUCTS TO BE SOLD AS NEW. Even the instructions were stained!!!!!!!

I was in the area and decided to stop at this location to use Kohls cash that I racked up from an online purchase. The reason I give it 2 stars is although it was the best organized (least messy) Kohls I've been too of the 3 in the area, it also was the most empty. Literally every piece of clothing I was interested in was missing in most of the desired sizes for me it was L or 32 waist product. Jogging pants in that size, gone. Their Tek Gear line was bear. When I gave up on myself and decided to use the Kohls cash for my wife for Christmas they had nothing in her size for active wear (she is a dance teacher). This is IN SEASON stuff we are talking about and it was missing. When I went to checkout the the associate assigned to a register was wondering off to find a size for a woman on the display but not available. Great customer service BUT not when the lines are long as it is. They need some of other members of the staff to be handling those to keep the flow for checkout. I cant just blame this store though as this is one of the downfall of my Kohls experience and it has happened even prior to COVID. I left after 45 minutes of looking with something that I'm not sure if my wife will like but it was the best i could find for what was available for the size.

Horrible experience at store #1489 in Wallingford. We bought the last four chairs of a table set…read morethat was apart of a floor display. The manager on duty, John was very unprofessional and refused to give us the discount for purchasing a floor display. The same discount we received at the Derby location, store #1783. Instead we were expected to be satisfied with the explanation of,, "we just put it together and put it on the floor". As if it didn't matter that the items are now used because they've been unpackaged and touched by who knows. After we spent over $300.00 my husband needed to take apart the chairs in order to fit it into our vehicle, John made him do so outside. The store was closing, however there was still a customer in the store, whom didn't leave until after my husband had finished taking the chairs apart. Also, the customer that was still in the store, purchased a sizeable item and John didn't even assist her with her merchandise. Instead he rudely rushed her out of the store. I will be reporting this incident to corporate, he should not have his position as a manager if he's going to abuse it, and furthermore set a bad example for his team members.
