When I asked the staff why the posted prices weren't being honored, they were extremely rude and dismissive. They give you very little for items worth a lot which they then sell for top price online. When I see the clothes of mine that they didn't accept and I see the stained and pilly garments hanging on their racks I have to wonder if the chemicals from the fast food they eat has gone to their heads. My experience with OUAC is that the selection is largely a function of the wealth of the surrounding area. This is my neighborhood location, but because I know I don't live in the fanciest part of the Twin Cities metro, I'm not expecting a bunch of upscale brands at this spot. I do occasionally find a rare higher-end piece, but it's mostly Old Navy / Carters / Target brands and the quality is hit or among those. Selling at this location is also hit or miss. I've come at 1pm to be told they're so backed up they aren't taking anyone else for sales that day, but I've also successfully sold a few pieces. You can't expect to make much selling here, but it's a great convenient way to try to recoup at least something in those babies' and kids' outfits that look barely worn. read more

Bad service- don't waste your time bringing your stuff here! I'd say give it to friends and families who are in need of baby stuff! They cherry pick items! My baby had clothes that were still new and some she never worn, (mostly branded clothes)and some as gifts- stupid workers there said 12mo and under they don't take it‼‼ I did a walk around the store before I left my clothes and the store didn't have shit for baby clothes- lots of onesis and clothes from years ago. I dropped off a large Costco brand size 5 diaper box full of clothing and shoes to be sold when I came back and it was gone. Very disappointing. My go-to place for all things kid and baby near Saint Paul. The store is clean, and relatively clutter-free. There is a huge section of plastic kids toys with things strewn on the floor, but this is also a great place to have your kids test drive their newest $4-6 treasure. The clothing is well organized by age and sex and things are exactly where they're supposed to be. They have shoes well organized as well, and carry tons of accessories like exersaucers, riding toys, soft shell baby carriers and more. I have always had really good luck with their clothing and never had a problem with zippers, holes, frayed fabric etc. You can tell they really give their items a good inspection before putting it on the shelves. Prices are reasonable to a tad expensive for certain big brand names, or fancier kids clothes. For example, a crappy pair of footed PJs from Target may cost you $3, but a newer Carters PJ may cost $6. Staff are friendly and helpful. Like all O Upon a C stores, each day of the week offers special discounts depending on the day, and you can usually find good coupons in the paper for 15-20% off. At the very least, they have a stamp card that you fill up for 20% off (I think), which is fine but honestly the coupons and daily specials are often better and easier to achieve. read more

This is so far the cleanest Once Upon a Child store that I have gone to! I frequent many of them and I was not frazzled in this one. It was packed with everything you could imagine, but it wasn't so stuffed that you couldn't maneuver the isles easily. The staff was very friendly also. The new management here is doing a fantastic job! I did not like this location before and rarely visited. Then My sisters stopped by and could not stop raving about the prices, quality and how the store is run overall. Yes, there are many items and sometimes I'm sure it gets crowded, but the size of the building is really not anyone's "fault". In fact, I can only imagine how much the management and employees wish the building was bigger. I am excited for this store and hope that it continues to thrive. I wasn't greeted by anyone the entire time I was there. Every aisle and corner were NOT stroller friendly. There was dirt all over the floors and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. It smells disgusting. I went in looking for 9 month sleepers and only found 1. NOTHING was organized. It was noticeably used and marked as $3.50. I would rather buy second hand via FB Marketplace, etc (MUCH cheaper and in WAY better condition) or brand new... which you can get them for the same price I recently bought 3 sleepers from Target for $13. Why would anyone come here. Big mistake on my part. This place is a disgrace. I've never been to such a dirty and disorganized store in my entire life. read more

This is such a hard place to review. First off, 0 stars for selling clothes to them. Major rip off. I know they have to buy cheap to sell low and stay open, but there has to be a line somewhere. I recently sold clothes to them, they cherry pick and only take the high end name brands, even though when I went through their merchandise on the floor, I saw a lot of well worn cheap items. I'm all for them cherry picking and taking high end items, heck...I would. But, then make sure you're always doing that. I don't know if they get desperate at times, and accept cheaper items? I took in a full car worth of boys clothes, birth-24 months. After going through all of it, I took the majority back home with me. They were over stocked on sleepers and were not accepting summer items, but then the employee gave conflicting info about how they decide what season to buy. I guess they start selling summer in December..but they are currently not buying summer...unless it's high end. So what do they consider high end? NO CLUE! They skipped over Andy and Evan, called Janie and Jack a "misc" brand, and passed up a juicy Romper I had. All were in excellent like new condition. They jumped on some Carters and Gap. Here is where they get a big fat 0: I asked for an itemized receipt so I could see what I sold my items to them for. She kindly obliged my request and after reviewing it, I almost cried. .40 cents for a pair of Robeez! $1.60 for a Janie and Jack shirt with Vest and pants! Just to give you an idea, i looked through their shoes and the average Robeez pair was $10. The mark up is insane! I understand business, but wow! Never again. Buy clothes there is smart. They buy and mark it up, but not so much you don't want to buy it. I purchased some really cute clothes for my baby girl, but some of it was expensive even for used. I'm sure they bought a $1 outfit and then sold it to me for $15. I know this is a long rant that probably doesn't make sense, so to sum it up: Sell on buy and sell sites, shop at Once Upon a Child. Selling to them will be super easy, but you are getting ripped off. read more
