This was my first time visiting Once Upon a Treetop, and the venue itself is beautiful. It's a large, well-designed indoor play area with many different sections for kids to explore and a lot of potential. We attended an "Eat and Play with Elmo" event, and unfortunately the experience fell short, especially given the $40 price. Parking is very limited, and the event felt oversold and overcrowded. The heat was not working, and with temperatures below 30 degrees outside, it was barely warmer inside. Most conversations among parents were about how cold everyone was, and many adults and children kept their coats and hats on the entire time. If the heat wasn't working, the event really should have been rescheduled. There were also safety concerns. The gate separating the play area from the rest of the space was not functioning and remained open the entire time. While I was putting away our shoes and diaper bag, my daughter slipped into the play area, which was unsettling. The Elmo costume itself looked great and was very realistic, but the character interaction was a major disappointment. The person inside the costume seemed disengaged and unhappy to be there. Elmo mostly stood in one spot and did not interact warmly with the children. There were no hugs, no pats on the back, and very little acknowledgment of the kids beyond an occasional half-hearted wave. For an event centered around meeting Elmo, the lack of enthusiasm and interaction was especially disappointing. Other moms I spoke to noticed the same thing The space itself is lovely, but for a $40 "Eat and Play with Elmo" event, this experience fell short of expectations. read more

Went to my nephew bday party here, what a super cute place. Looked clean enough. The fire alarms went off and no one knew how to turn them off so that was a bit of an inconvenience. The bathrooms can use a cleaning and a renovation. Ample parking which is a plus. read more

We recently had our daughters 2nd birthday here. First thev called us 2 hours before the party to tell us the heat didnt work and it was 58 degrees in the bulding. We had people driving from all over so it was too short of notice to cancel. The kids enjoyed the party very much, however, right AFTER we paid and tipped they decided to tell us that our daughters gifts were taken by the previous party. We had to wait 45 minutes for the gits to be returned and they took no responsibility by blaming the prior party. We asked to be refunded our deposit but instead they said it was "human error" and could only offer us credits at the play place in the future. After spending a ton of money on a party for all of that we are unsure we even want to go back. We were told the owner would reach out to us but of course we had to call them and couldn't speak with the owner. read more

This was a recommendation for social interaction with other kids..we did book an open play session for 3-5 pm and we were literally the only people there other than staff so that was disappointing but the staff was super friendly and my son loved it! Front desk lady was really great and recommended calling before we came or coming to the 10 am open play as that was the more popular time. Would definitely recommend! read more

What a cute place! Very toddler and baby friendly, they have something for all kids . There is a small baby section , then they have a pretend play section , play cars and even a play zone with slides. I was there for a birthday so I got to see their birthday rooms and it was cute and spacious. We had their pizza and enjoyed our time there. We've come to once upon a tree top for both a birthday party and open play. This is my son's favorite playspace and he regularly requests a visit! What a wonderful spacious playspace for babies to walkers to toddlers! I love the themed rooms (legos, classroom, vet, ice cream/pizza shop, grocery store, classroom, fire station, and construction!) There is even an infant corner for your littlest ones with plenty of toys. Great spot for a rainy or cold day. I would recommend booking a reservation before going. read more

My daughter had a break from school, so we needed some activities to fill her day. My wife found an open play and we headed over. A lot of these places are set up in what used to be industrial or business parks. We get there and immediately get signed in. The entrance is also the gift shop. We head down the hallway to a huge open area with a lot of play areas and a giant indoor climb park and slide. I didn't want to include pictures of people's kids and there was also a bunch of kids. I'm sure their website has pictures up. My daughter had fun. Mostly she was in the animal room or running around. The slide was a little too much for her to get to, but she seemed to have a good time. There are staff members around, but they are mostly to clean up after the kids. This is such a fun place to play! There are a few "village" play areas such as a diner, school, fire house, doctor office, and police station. In the back there is a huge jungle gym the kids can climb on including a tree (treetop!) In the front there is a little area for crawlers to hang out. Plus there are a few benches to sit and vending machines with snacks and drinks. Cons: they're so popular, it's almost impossible to get a play spot on the weekend. There aren't a lot of comfortable places for adults to sit. I mean, you're gonna spend most of your time running after your kid or even playing yourself. I've read some of the reviews and saying it's "clean" is a HUGE stretch. Not only did the place smell like urine but I overheard staff fighting over who was going to clean up urine after some child had an accident on the floor - which by the way is CARPET. Gross. And yes, they ask the children to remove their shoes before they enter, so potentially they have urine-soaked socks when they leave. So while it sounds like it's a fun place to hang out I don't think it's very sanitary. Plus, my friend's child got bullied up in the treehouse by another child who brought a METAL SHOPPING CART up there and the staff did nothing when I asked them to intervene. Is that even considered a toy? So while the parents sit in the front, the children are running around in the back doing whatever they please. Not safe. I suggest you pass on this place. read more

This is such a great place to bring little ones. Very creative toys and environment and the little climbing thing they have is perfect for my four and two year old. We decided to do a "private party" for just us since we still can't get our two year old to wear a mask more then just a few minutes. So worth and we will be back!! read more

A great, clean, fun place to bring my nephew. I booked a private play session for my nephew and family and it was honestly so much fun for everyone. The environment for my 1 year old nephew was interactive, safe and he had a blast. This was a really special day for my nephew because he was able to play with all sorts of toys and interactive experiences with his aunts, grandparents and great grandparents. How fun! This was one of the only play places we had never gone to yet. Mainly because awhile back it wasn't book online and I just forgot about it lol. Anyway with my boy home this week an today being super hot I was like I'm taking him here. I'm not sure if it's a safety issue or I'm just stupid lol but omg have a big sign by the door or something! I circled around for 10 mins saying where is this place. The parking lot was filled so I didn't even see the 2nd door I just saw the kandel place and all their reserved parking spots that were open. Tried calling but it's basically a messaging service. Then I saw a couple with their kids and assumed they were going so I was like hey where is this place? Oh right here! lol oops. Anyway besides that fun adventure once we got inside it's huge which is not bad. My boy was a little overwhelmed like wow. Held onto me for dear life like mommy do not leave me! Eventually he warmed up and had fun playing. It's a cute place I can see why people have many parties here. I think my kind of place is more on the smaller side, along with a cafe :P I'm happy we came here though and I'd come back. My boy had fun so that's all that matters. read more

I really like the open play space and the fake stores/restaurant. In the back, they have the jungle gym and slides with the huge tree house too. A few things turned me off here, 1. They were ripping up the carpet by the entrance. Dust blew up and it looked hazardous to breathe in. Didn't seem like the right time to do this since our party was about to start. 2. Very little customer service. Not that this is really needed, but its ran by a couple of high school or college students. They asked us to sign a waiver like 3 times. 3. Couple of broken or misplaced toys in the play area. Things do look relatively clean, but not sure how frequently they sterilize. Pretty good choice for a childs birthday party, but not much to do for a baby. Ideal for walking toddlers or cruising babies at the least. read more

have visited plenty of play places in the Brooklyn & Queens and this is by far is the best thus far! You walk in to the front desk and a store of several toys and gadgets for kids. Then you walk down a beautiful hall that is clean and brightly colored. Reminded me of the hall to a preschool. You get to a gate where you can leave your belongings and shoes. Then kids can run freely in several themed rooms to play. In the back is a large play gym for kids to climb and slide. I celebrated my daughter's birthday party here and I had a fantastic experience. My daughter Ariana had a smile on her face the whole party which warmed my heart. From the moment I walked in to see the place I fell in love and booked Ariana's party right away. We got there early for the party and I told my guests to get there 15 mins early because you know people are always late lol. They had a waiting room for us called the kidz club which was so perfect. They sanitized everything and made sure everything was perfect for my daughter's party. The staff was incredible and set up everything for my daughter. I would highly recommend this place but it does come with a price tag. I wish they would of given us a 2 hr party for the price I paid, but it was a great experience. FYI: the only things you can bring is goody bags and cake. Everything else you need to purchase through the venue such as food for adults, decorations and balloons which adds up. Such a cute place for crawlers and toddlers ! They've set it up to be like a town, so there is a supermarket play area, a school , firehouse, police house, ice cream shop etc. They also have a big play/climbing area with two slides. The few times that I've been there they have one staff member in the area just overlooking the children and cleaning up the toys from the "yucky bucket". They play a lot of kids bop and one direction but it's never too loud or overbearing. For crawlers it's 6$ and walkers is 14$. It's usually very crowded on a rainy day of course but the best time to go would be as soon as they open or from 12 pm-2 because many kids are either on their way to nap or have lunch. It's always very clean and well kept. I highly recommend Once Upon a Treetop for ages 3 and under! :) Happy Yelping and have fun playing! The mad Russian told me about the treetop and suggested I take our daughter for a play date for just the two of us. We arrived on a Tuesday at about ten and found two very helpful women at the front counter who directed us on what to do, where to go and how to do it. I was surprised that there really werent that many people there. But being that school was in session and the Holiday season wasnt in full force, I guess it's not a huge surprise. Inside there are many rooms- each themed a different way for your toddler to play in. At first, my little one was taking everything in, but after a few minutes, she warmed up and began to explore. Several other parents were very nice and did as I, watched our children spread their wings a bit and explore on their own. Even if it was in the watchful eyes of their parents. The bonus item, the jungle gym at the back of the facility is a focal point for the largest and oldest of the visitors. Plenty of things to climb, hang from, and slide on.A little too big for Anastasia at this time, but I'm sure she will return and explore again here. The location is just close enough to home to make it a 5-10 minute drive from home. Pay as you go makes it nice as well. I'm not sure if you can buy a pass for a week or month, but I will inquire with our next visit. Every time a child puts an item in their mouth, Staright to the yuck bucket it goes. Bonus star on first visit for my daughter not getting sick within 48 hours of visiting. Having a yuck bucket pays off! While on my visit, I noticed a handyman coming in to give an estimate on cosmetic repairs; kids will do their damage. Great to know that they are keeping up with the safety and appearances of the facility. When I return to let my daughter play again, I hope to upgrade my experience to a 5. One improvement they might make- wireless sound is so cheap these days, maybe get an upgraded sound system. On busier days it would seem hard to hear the music being played, and even I noticed a couple of the staff having to start or change the music on my 90 minute visit. This is strictly towards the owners and the front desk teenagers who run the place with their attitude. I had paid $600 worth of classes for my 2 children. Being human i made the error of signing my 18month old up for a class thats for 3-5 year olds. When I called to reconcile i was told i cannot get refunded over this. I asked why i was even allowed to sign up my one child because i had to enter her birthday. No response to that. The girl i spoke with had an attitude and told me she assumed i would have read everything thoroughly, clearly these people are perfect and never make mistakes. My 3 yo daughter is definitely a fan of this place. I took her here on Tuesday for open play and she had a really good time. And on Wednesday, I thought she had school but she didn't so I asked her where she wanted to go and she said she wanted to come back here again. We spent about 3 hours here each day and both times, she had a blast and didn't want to leave. Open play is $12 and everyone is required to wear socks. They do not sell hot food here but there's an ice cream, soda and snack vending machine available. There's a crawler/toddler play area, 9 pretend play stores/activity rooms [pizza & bakery, fire house, school, pet shoppe, costume dress up, village garage, construction, supermarket and train depot], a fire station, and a play/climb+slides area with a real treehouse attached. My daughter loved filling up the shopping cart at the supermarket and pushing it around the whole place. She loved practically everything from dressing up like a princess, making pizza & ice cream, to climbing up and going down the slide a hundred times. The facility is clean and well kept. The staffs were all very friendly and nice. We get there right when they opened so all the toys are all put back, neat and organized but of course, when the place fills up with kids, toys are everywhere, which is normal. This place gets overly crowded around noontime and play space becomes limited. The costumes could use a wash bc most of them looked dirty. Visit Date: March 18, 2019 I used to review nice restaurants sometimes...now I review play spaces because #momlife. I heard about once upon a treetop, than I forgot about it and than it came up somewhere online and after realizing I had a Monday off work and Sippy Cups was closed I decided I'd take my son to Once upon a Treetop. This is the DISNEYLAND of play spaces on Long Island from what I've seen so far. The play space is organized like a street, and they have little play areas designated to different types of play that look like stores would look like if you were walking down a street. At the end of the space they have a jungle gym and of course because it's called once upon a treetop a little tree house. My son had a good time here and we basically almost closed down the place since we left at a little after 4:30 and they closed at 5. There were a few downsides which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Even though they had vending machines, I got suckered into buying my kid skittles and an ice cream bar because even though I get parent shamed I am a mommy that almost always never says no (I do say no for certain things though), they don't have any coffee for sale, nor do they offer any coffee. I'm big on coffee. Luckily I packed my own just in case, I carry around a bigger lunch thermal and have an emergency bottle of iced coffee and almond milk. They had a mess hall where you could eat food so you could take a time out for a snack or lunch break in between playing. The second downside was that they had so many toys for sale when you walked in. So this is super convenient if you need a toy for an upcoming birthday. Not so super convenient if you're sucker mommy. Sucker mommy bought her son hatchimals. I did draw the line and say only one toy, so that's something. I also think it's unfair for businesses like this to display toys, I'm sure they count on parents like me saying yes to a toy but it's basically entrapment to get you to buy a little something extra during your visit. So besides the two things I didn't like, once upon a treetop is a very nice place and I will be back here sometimes with my son. If my husband is around with me, he may or may not be getting an extra toy next time. read more

My 13 month old had a good time this past Friday for an Elmo event however this rating is for the safety of the children in the play area Another child ran into my daughter and he knocked her over , she fell back on her back and her head was slammed onto the floor. The play area is concrete covered with a thin fake looking grass . The following day I spoke to a staff member abs they said - this has NEVER happened at their establishment. My daughter and I had a really good time here last weekend but they do require no shoes once you enter the play area. This request is reasonable but if that is a rule, there should be NO exposed floors. Everywhere should be covered in carpet! Not area rugs. When my daughter was playing in one of the rooms, they only had an area rug covering the floor, when she walked over on the exposed floor, she slipped, and slammed her chin on the table and bit her tongue. I made the manger aware of the incident and expressed my concerns and showed her my daughters cut chin and bloody tongue. Be careful with your kids with their socks on the exposed floors. read more

I have taken my niece here twice now. I like that you only have to pay for children & adults go in free. The play area isn't super big but they have different cute themed stations and it's really great for a wide range of ages. There is a small area for crawlers too. There are bathrooms as well as a lunch room, party room and gift store. Socks are required for everyone. Have fun! read more

My daughter came here on a camp trip and could not stop raving about it. Literally asking to come back. So today we went. Unless she comes for a camp trip, I will not bring her and her brother back here. Let's start with the front desk. I was lucky that the woman looked up at me at all and she only did so to ask me for my money and then tell me where to go. Whatever - the kids wanted to come here so I got past this. Next we get to the play area - it wreaks of urine. I suppose this understandable since I came during a time where the place is dominated by babies and toddlers. However it was filthy also. Clearly no one is keeping this place maintained post opening and pre-closing. I'm still here so will update after I leave if I have further insight. read more
