We attended an "Eat and Play with Elmo" event, and unfortunately the experience fell short, especially given the $40 price. Parking is very limited, and the event felt oversold and overcrowded. The heat was not working, and with temperatures below 30 degrees outside, it was barely warmer inside. Most conversations among parents were about how cold everyone was, and many adults and children kept their coats and hats on the entire time. If the heat wasn't working, the event really should have been rescheduled. There were also safety concerns. The gate separating the play area from the rest of the space was not functioning and remained open the entire time. While I was putting away our shoes and diaper bag, my daughter slipped into the play area, which was unsettling. The Elmo costume itself looked great and was very realistic, but the character interaction was a major disappointment. The person inside the costume seemed disengaged and unhappy to be there. Elmo mostly stood in one spot and did not interact warmly with the children. There were no hugs, no pats on the back, and very little acknowledgment of the kids beyond an occasional half-hearted wave. For an event centered around meeting Elmo, the lack of enthusiasm and interaction was especially disappointing. Other moms I spoke to noticed the same thing The space itself is lovely, but for a $40 "Eat and Play with Elmo" event, this experience fell short of expectations.

In all honesty, I don't know what I would have done without Raquel. Even as a strong type A Bride who is extremely organized and prepared, Raquel asked the questions I didn't think of to FULLY prepare for the wedding. After the first meeting, it was like a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders. She brought an incredible sense of calm, professionalism, and organization to our wedding day, exactly what we needed. She also shared her industry knowledge for ideas, recommendations, and proper etiquette. She kept in contact with all our vendors before the wedding, days leading up to the wedding, and the day of the wedding. Raquel truly took the time to learn my husband and I, to fully understand what was important to US on our wedding day. Her preparation ensured all our vendors worked seamlessly together. Raquel managed to be everywhere at once, always a step ahead, always with a smile. She not only managed my vendors, but she also managed those guests that every bride and groom is worried about but obligated to invite (sorry not sorry). I honestly don't know how our day would have flowed without her. Thanks to Raquel, we were able to be fully present and truly enjoy every moment. Everyone warned us the day would fly by; it really really does! Don't put yourself through the nonsense; it's your day so be sure to enjoy every single moment of it. We worked with Raquel on our invitations, mirrored seating chart and mirrored welcome sign. Overall Platinum Affairs executed on all assigned tasks and everything came out nicely. However, during the process, we felt like we needed to follow up and stay on top of them. Raquel seemed overwhelmed and maybe a bit burnt out. The Meetings We met with Raquel a few times over the process to finalize details and make payments. She was not pushy and honored our requests. We wanted simple invites, and new the style of mirrors we wanted. Over the course of 6-8 months, each visit she forgot who we were and we had to reintroduce ourselves. It took away from the experience. The Service Our Invites were ordered about 8 months from our wedding date and arrived about 6 months from our wedding date. I was a bit annoyed because our original choice was out of print and we were told this one was in stock and affordable. After making our order and reviewing our proofs, Raquel and her team called to let us know we had to decide immediately on our proofs because the vendor was running low on the card stock and may not be able to print our order. Our mirror and seating chart were ordered at the same time. We had to provide the text, names and fonts about 10 days prior to the event. We actually followed up with them because no one contacted us. Once we were in touch, everything was finalized. One nit to pick, they do not alphabetize the seating charts and you do need to review your proofs. I noticed a few formatting errors when reviewing my own. Card box was just as we asked. No complaints there. Verdict Platinum Affairs was okay. Service was good, but not great. Prices were reasonable.

The party package comes with a party favor and personalized comb for each guest. The girls get their hair done and are also pampered with a mani/pedi. There is a play area and the girls get to play dress up in princess dresses. In case there are any boys invited to your party, there is a pretty neat game room for them to enjoy! Pizza and juice were served at the Tea Party and you're able to order additional food for adults, if needed. After, the girls participated in a runway walk and had a dance party. The girls working the party were super friendly and very sweet! I also like that I was able to have the Carvel cake delivered as well, so I didn't need to worry about that. I especially like the fact that while I've never been here on a weekend day, the place is never overly crowded or hectic. Other places close by can get pretty packed and chaotic. Having said that, there are some things that could use improvement. For one, get a vacuum cleaner that can make the carpets appear clean. There is always so much lint and debris on the carpet, it seems they don't attempt to clean them. I asked one of the nice girls who work there about it and she said they do try but apparently the fabric of the carpet wont let go of the fuzz. I'd get that one figured out quick if it was my place. Not the end of the world, to be sure, but an easy fix that should be addressed. On the plus side, there is so much to keep a toddler/youngster occupied. Two hours in here and you're sure to get a good nap from your little one. Plenty of bouncy houses for jumping and climbing will get them tired and exercised. At the end of the first hour when they've been on everything at least twice, they move the cart holding your belongings to another side and there are all new adventures waiting for your little one. More bouncing and a couple of arcade-style games and a nerf cannon section. Watch for specials- you can save a few bucks when they run a multi-trip offer. I recently saw a five-trip for $25. Thats an awesome deal in anyone's book. The website clearly and easily leads you to the date and the open-play times. Easy.... super easy.... Some of their competitors can take a lesson on "ease of use" web sites from them. Overall, we will make our way back often when I get a day off from work or when the weather isn't taylor-made for out of doors activities. I just hope they can get a vacuum for the floor. I've had good experiences with Pump It Up but this wasn't one of them. This has got to be the…read moreworst kept Pump It Ups I've ever been to. I was invited to join a birthday party and it pretty much went down hill as soon as I entered the parking lot and didn't find any parking spots. I parked out on the street as a result. The slides and the bouncy castles were ok, the kids seemed to have fun with them but that seemed to be the only thing was matched expectations. There was just one mini tandem basketball hoop that was not inflated properly that had a super soft rim. Shots kept bouncing off the soft rim as a result. At all the other Pump It Ups I've been to there was an larger sized inflated version with larger sized basketballs. This one also had a piece in the back where you three tennis balls that was supposed to have a radar gun tracking the speed of the throws against a backdrop of a catcher and hitter. The radar piece didn't work and there was only one or two tennis balls to throw. In the second room, there was a soft air pitching machine hat you feed styrofoam balls into. Needless to say, there was only about 10 balls for 4 of these machines. That's just really sad. Watching the Pump It Up team feed the kids with pizza stacked up in one hand from the counter and dumping the pizza on plates at the table with the other hand was pretty gosh darned unimpressive. I'd never recommend coming back here and I'd probably recommend to the host not to as well.

My husband mentioned that his interaction with the staff, both over the phone and when picking up the arrangement, was amazing. I received the 'Sealed with a Kiss' design, and they even added Hershey's Kisses at the bottom of the arrangement! When we started our wedding process, we had so much anxiety around how we wanted our day to look. We started with just white flowers and some greenery. We had our first appointment with Sonja and right off the bat we vibed with her. She was so patient in trying to understand how we wanted our day to look while also helping us in checking some other things off our list. We left that appointment feeling super connected and trusted her with making our day perfect. We hit that point that I think every couple does, Oh shit I don't know if thats what we actually want! We made another appointment with Sonja, she will do ANYTHING to accommodate you within reason, and we workshopped for almost 3 hours. We left that appointment JAZZED about how our day would look now that we got over the "no color" hump. Cut too our wedding day. When I tell you our day looked like a dream because of Sonja I don't say this lightly. She met us at our hotel with floral we needed for photos, she arrived at the venue early, and made sure everything was perfect. When Joe and I walked into our reception space we nearly passed out. We were moved to tears and I couldn't believe how absolutely PERFECT Sonja made our day. Our guests kept saying our wedding was elegant, classy, not overdone and the word magical kept coming up. Sonja's patience is remarkable and her attention to detail is unmatched. We have her to thank for making our wedding look and feel like a dream. Pinterest aint got NOTHING on our girl Sonja! I would not recommend anyone booking this vendor, unless you would like to chase them and constantly make phone calls and texts only to be ignored.
