The inside is as chaotic and busy as a donki in Japan, although this location (because this is the only location I've been to in Hawaii) seems to be merged with Safeway a bit with the items it held so it's almost double the overwhelming yet still fun to browse and walkthrough. It's bright, it's massive, and I'm sure you can play a mean game of tag inside, but don't. While there was a ton of items that almost swayed me, I only opted for a couple bags of cookies and a little hot wheel for my husband.

What should have been a pleasant shopping experience quickly turned into one of the most humiliating experiences I have ever had as a customer. Despite having paid for all of my items, I was stopped, detained, and escorted by security without any lawful justification. My shopping cart and purchased goods were taken from me without my consent, and I was prevented from leaving while employees re-examined my belongings. At no point was I provided with a valid reason for this treatment. The incident occurred in full view of other customers, causing significant embarrassment, emotional distress, and anxiety. As a paying customer who had not only completed a shopping transaction but had also chosen to spend additional money at the food court, I found this treatment unacceptable and deeply disrespectful. I have video evidence documenting the incident, including proof that my purchases were paid for and footage of how I was treated. Rather than being valued as a customer, I was made to feel like a criminal despite having done nothing wrong. I have requested an explanation, preservation of surveillance footage, identification of the employees involved, and information regarding any corrective actions being taken. Until this matter is properly addressed, I cannot recommend shopping at this location. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity a respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

You know those snack boxes that people sell online with snacks from Japan or wherever? I'd imagine just grabbing a bunch of these snacks and candies and curating your own box lol You can tell that they're still setting up, but there was still enough to keep us intrigued! We initially said we didn't need a cart, but we were so wrong. We grabbed some random snacks just to try and review with each other, and compare them to the ones here in the States! We grabbed almost a cartful of snacks... not even ashamed to say it, but the total came to around $43, which to me wasn't that bad. All in all, we're gonna come back again or even check out the one on the other side of town!

This store is spacious, bright, and new. Everything is very organized and easy spot the price. Compared to the main store, this one has mainly snacks and edible items, but a lot of more fragrance and cosmetic items. We even found some items cheaper at this store. The weird thing about this store is the flooring is not level. About 8 feet from the windows toward the parking lot, the floor slants down, so your cart will run away or you might feel a little dizzy from the imbalance. Overall, a nice spacious and clean store with a good amount of Asian snacks and food items. A nice addition to the neighborhood. No need to go into town now for these things. Cashiers were nice and friendly. Besides the unleveled floor, this is a more comfortable place to shop compared to the main store.

When you grow up with these desserts or start craving the popular orange Filipino street food, the comfort it brings just puts you in a good mood!" SERVICE: friendly INTERIOR: tiny but mighty with lots of Filipino snacks, sauces, sweets, etc. Organized n' well stocked. EXTERIOR: located at Ho'opili WAIT TIME: none PARKING: street OVERALL COMMENTS: wanted to check out what products n' hot food they had available. Visited on a Saturday, which was good bc I learned that they only offered hot food on the weekends per the lady who was working. I really wanted an Ilocos empanada so I was glad to see that they had it the day I went. I ended up air-frying it when I got home. It was still good even after the egg got double cooked. Had yummy flavor n' I liked that the vinegar it came with had a nice lil' kick of heat. The taro carioca was my favorite. Sweet crackly exterior, chewy inside similar to like mochi, n' you could taste the taro. I like my turon made with a long wrapper; get more crunchy sections from the ends, so this was the kine of turon I like. Also it has a caramelized outside adding extra flavored sweetness n' crunchiness. It's great knowing there is a Filipino market that carries a wide variety of products n' serves hot food too!

This is one of my favorite foods, SO of course I had to go check it out for myself. Unfortunately, at the time I went there it wasn't available, and was told it wouldn't be available until about 10:30 am. So, I browsed around Little Manila Market... It's a small market and the name says what exactly you'll find here. I seen there was Puto; A steamed rice cake slightly sweet & topped with cheese for $7 for a pack of 6. I purchased a container, Let me say it was very delicious! I opened it up in my car on my way to work and couldn't stop eating it. If I could have I would have eaten all of it before reaching Waikele. I wanted to share some with my husband so I shared 2 with him. I'll be back for more! Hot foods are available: Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays. Location: Ho'opili next to Haus Of Puas. Parking: Street Parking. Seating: Outdoor, tables with umbrellas. Looking forward to trying their Filipino hot dishes & picking up a container or two of Puto. One for me and one for the husband.

Odd, as nothing really needed to be "cooked" very long. I noticed immediately that a majority of the tables were disgusting and there are flies buzzing around. In any case, I still decided to order my food as "dine in." I did some shopping while I was waiting, and of course, while I was standing in line (almost 20 minutes later) my beeper went off. You cannot silence it, so I ended up abandoning my place in one of the three cash register lines. Since there are only 3 lines, they do not move quickly. This is prime time on a Saturday, mind you. I went to turn in the beeper and get my soup. The soup comes in a flaming box with a bowl shaped opening with feet, where the stainless seet bowl sits. Now, I get that the flaming box is meant to keep your soup hot... However, WE ARE IN HAWAII. The ambient temperature isn't going to cool down the soup dramatically. IN FACT, I HAVE BEEN SITTING HERE WAITING FOR THE FLAME TO GO OUT, BECAUSE MY SOUP IS TOO HOT TO EAT. Additionally, because the bowl sits on feet, the beef bones weight keeps spilling the soup off one end. The soup is delicious, but this is the stupidest execution and presentation of something meant to be delicious and simple. Also, if the bowl is too hot to hold and drink from... soup spoons would be awesome. ‍

I always come here "just to look," but end up with a gigantic, branded reusable bag filled to the brim with imported Asian snacks. Many Chinese products, but also Korean, Japanese, Thai, etc. Snacks range from exotic chip flavors to candies and sodas. Further back you'll find more substantial instant noodle meals. The Chinese ones are actually great and are way more complex ingredients-wise than your standard instant noodle. Also in the back are Chinese cooking ingredients such as sauces and dry goods, but my favorite is the super thick, wide glass noodles that I use for hot pot. There's also a small section with Asian toiletry products that I've personally never tried. I must say it feels like there is less variety of items since they moved locations. Some snacks are repeated in different spots on the shelves to make it look like there's more variety. My favorite latiao that I used to get at their old location is no longer available. :( I'll keep coming back regularly because they're always getting new items in stock.

Then the other time I went and the store was supposed to be open and no one was there yet. Because all these snacks come in internationally, the goods need to go through customs. So if you go in on the day when they just received shipment, bingo! You're lucky to find a lot of good things (I think). I haven't had any of those days. It's a pretty clean and big store. You can find a lot of foreign type of snacks. Chips, cookies and candies. I'm not a big risk taker at trying to eat something i don't know, but all the seaweed chips are delish!
