I searched all over for a tattoo shop that could do a cover up on a horrible tattoo that I got as a teenager. Angelena is amazing! I came to One Drop to get my cartilage re-pierced after my original piercing closed. Unfortunately, because my original piercing did not heal well - formed a huge buildup of hypertrophic scar tissue (sorry maybe tmi) - Angelena said she wouldn't be able to re-pierce the same spot. Instead, using her amazing expertise, she mark a few places close to the original that she thought would look good and walked me through why she chose each. Based on Angelena's advice, I ended up going with a conch piercing She was so calm and reassuring throughout the whole piercing process and it honestly barely even hurt. I've had pretty bad recovery experiences with ALL my past piercings but this one has been a breeze - definitely thanks to Angelena. I forget that it's even there sometimes! read more

So I came in to Nashville on my way to a college reunion and I was a few days early so I decided to kind honor my own military service with a tattoo. Even before I got there I had looked at their portfolio and I talked to Jessica on the phone and she was very sweet and polite and everybody in the shop is really cool. One thing that really matters to me is cleanliness and organization these people have it all together. My artist was a really neat guy name T-bone and maybe because we were both prior service we hit it off right away. I had never had a tattoo before so I was a little nervous and I needed some things explained to me but they did a great job and T-bone did a fantastic job on what I wanted. He showed me a few extra frills that made the thing look a lot better than my original plan. So, I trust the artist because I'm definitely not one. Nothing hurt me at all but just a few quick stings and we just talked and had a great time while he did his work. Just go in and take your time and trust the process. This has to be one of the best shops in the entire south because the owner was off doing a two month tour of her work and she only hires the best. By the way, the inside of the forearm is kind of "meaty" so I think a tattoo there might be less painful there than on some other parts of the body where there's not as much muscle underneath the skin. The other thing you need to know about a tattoo is taking care of it after you get it is as important. I Really appreciate the way T-bone and the people emphasized the after care. I recommend ONE DROP INK. Fortunately, at least for me, they give you a full write up of instructions and you can get a special substance that I think they make up to rub on your tattoo to keep it moisturized and so forth while it goes through the healing process. I am disappointed in one aspect of my experience there and it's the reason I cannot give them 5 star, I had a pretty simple question regarding after care and I left more than one message, and no one bothered to call me back. This place was great! My daughter and I took a girls trip to Nashville, and she had wanted her belly button pierced since her birthday. COVID happened and we had to wait. So I called One Drop and they told us to come on down! Everything was clean, everyone was wearing a mask, they have certain areas you can sit in while you wait, and the whole atmosphere was just really calming! At the last minute, I decided to get one too, and they were totally accommodating! Would definitely go back for more piercings and artwork! read more

Here, I received the exact opposite of that! Found them scrolling through yelp. This tattoo was an impulse and If I didn't get it today, I wouldn't get it. Last month we took a girls trip to Nashville and decided we wanted to get tattoos while there. I had my eye on a design that had special meaning to me and finally decided it was time to get it. We googled some local shops and One Drop Ink was on a list of the top 15 places. We called to make sure they could take walk-in customers so we went w them. The staff seemed nice and were joking around w us while we waited for the artist to get set up. I was so excited to get this tattoo, but three weeks after getting it, I couldn't be more disappointed in the job they did. It looks like absolute shit! And as well all know, you can't just take some soap and water and wash it off. It's permanent! Ol Skool was the artist who did mine and I should have asked if he enjoyed doing this business before he started mine because he said he hated his job. Unfortunately, he was already half way done and there was no turning back at that point. I sent them an email w at least half a dozen pics of the horrible job he did and I have had three different people email me back all saying different things and saying the pictures are blurry, not wanting to admit he totally screwed it up. Not only is it permanent and screwed up, I wasted $140 on something that should have been $80 at the most! Don't waste your time w this place unless you want shit work done!! read more

I got a custom piece here on a Saturday night, and it happened to be the Jefferson Street Art Crawl [Co-Founded by One Drop owner and artist, Elisheba Mrozik] featuring a local artist's work using wood block carving, plus beautiful custom paintings fill the hallway-- which made it even more of a community/family-type atmosphere. Flew in to Nashville for a short visit on my way to North Carolina. On the last day of visit, decided to get a tattoo as a souvenir of the visit. Looked on Yelp and One Drop stood out. Their colored tattoos looked amazing. But, I tend to stick to black and grey. They specialize In that as well. Found their shop, a cozy office building. Spoke with Erin, co-owner, and showed him my idea. He knew exactly who would do the tattoo the best, T-bone. After paying a deposit (they accept credit/debit cards), T-bone took my idea but decided to make it a bit bigger. He added some changes, for the better, when he drew it out. I waited around shop, looking at the paintings on wall and tattoo portfolios. About half and hour later, T-bone came out and told me it was ready. He placed the stencil on my arm. After bending my elbow, he decided to move it to a better location. He prepped me for tattoo and went to work. As he got into session, we began to talk more and more. We shared some common interests in music and even shared some laughs. Time flew and because I was tired from trip, I began to doze off. Doze off while getting a tattoo. That's how relaxed I was. I've always heard that some artists are heavy handed. Not sure what that means, but T-bone has to be the opposite. He did a great job making sure I was comfortable during session. I was charged a flat fee for tattoo. For a tattoo of that size, any other shop would have had me in and out within an hour. Not at Old Drop. T-bone took his time and paid attention to detail. He took the liberty of Adding more details to it than what I initially thought off. Once done, he wiped it down,applied the ointment and wrapped it up. He went on to explain the care instructions and Erin even emailed them to me. I was so happy with my tattoo. A small subtle Homage to hip hop and one of my favorite musicians. I'd highly recommend shop. If you want to visit a shop that doesn't rush it's customers in and out of revolving doors, One Drop's the spot to go. Fair prices, attention to detail, no rushing and comfortability. One of the main reasons the other shops didn't appeal to me was the most looked like the pretentious yuppy shops one sees around town. Amazing experience from beginning to end! I've waited 20 years to get a tattoo. I had a significant life event in 2017 and I knew I wanted to commemorate the journey in a unique way. I've been going to One Drop Ink to owner, Elisheba, for my tattoo needs for over 5 years now. I'm just now joining yelp and have to say a few things about this shop and its staff and all their art! Elisheba has done a large portion of my tattoos and I'm about 65% covered. She's amazing at bringing to life any ideas you come up with. She's an extremely talented artist and equally as talented at permanently applying that art as a tattoo. I get compliments daily on all the work she's done on me. I carry around stickers and business cards and my go to response now is "this is the shop I go to!" while simultaneously thrusting a business card at the person giving the compliment. I can't recommend Elisheba enough but also, her other artists/piercer!! They all put their hearts into everything they create and they deeply care about their art and the customer wearing it.
