I hired this company due to their message of social justice on their road sign. I see that it earned them many 5-star reviews on Google, so I wonder if they did it purely for marketing. TL;DR - paid a lot of money to have them show up weeks late, do a terrible job on the yard/kill plants, complained and had someone show up in my yard unannounced to poke around, then never heard from them again. Unfortunately, being supporters of social justice does not equate to ethical business practices.. I paid over $1500 to have my garden beds mulched, and not only did they show up for the service 6 weeks late (no calls in the meantime - I had to call each week for an update, and they assured me I was "next" on the list each time), they completely destroyed several plants, didn't mulch all the beds, and edged but didn't mulch several beds in the backyard (which were beds I did not want mulched, but now I'm stuck with edged beds and clumps of grass in the beds). I was assured the mulchers would know which plants were weeds and which were intentionally planted, but they cut down several newly planted and FLOWERING native plants. They also butchered my fig tree, which was FRUITING, as well as my butterfly bush which was also flowering. I had to run out and stop them from cutting back several other bushes, which I was not told was part of the service. I called them after assessing the damage, and asked them to remedy the situation, explaining the plants that were damaged/killed and the missed beds they were supposed to mulch. Some guy randomly showed up in my driveway later that day and started walking around the yard, inspecting plants. He didn't ring the doorbell or give me a call to say he was on his way over. After about 30 minutes, he left and I haven't heard from them since. I regret spending all this money for mulching and highly suggest that you do not hire them. My yard continues to recover from the damage they caused, and I have not heard any word from them since complaining several months ago. read more

Unbelievably wonderful. Went to get a Christmas tree last Thursday night, I believe the gentleman that helped us was Tony. He went above and beyond to help my Mother and myself. We called the company to have them come out and clean the leaves from our yard. The woman on the phone told us it would be 125$ deposit and never offered an estimate even after having a gentleman come out to look at our yard. We clearly had no clue on what pricing is/would be. When the guys came to do our yard, they did a decent job but once we received the invoice we were charged an additional 525$. This may seem normal or appropriate to someone who has had this service completed before but we felt it was very high and UNEXPECTED. When I called to question it, the owner was rude to me and said "it's not my responsibility to offer an estimate". He was aggressive and defensive instead of taking ownership that when you come to do non-"cookie cutter" yard, you should automatically offer a rough estimate. I felt very taken advantage of. He used the comparison that if I took my car in for a service and they estimated a price and then got there and realized it needed more work, I would be responsible for paying for the service. Any car company I have ever used would call and give me a quote if the job is more than initially expected and I felt they should have offered a quote once they realize our yard is large and full of leaves. I bought a scoop of topsoil here. I was told it was screened. It was wet, very heavy from rain and FULL of BIG clods. I was filling a raised bed. I wasn't happy with the quality. I needed another scoop and went to Rock Creek for the second scoop after I unloaded the first scoop. Rock Creek had their topsoil under a huge tarp so it was dry. It was also nice and fine. It looked like it had been truly screened. I have gotten good mulch from One Earth though. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! I highly recommend that you don't make the same mistake I did when I chose them for my landscaping needs. We ordered soil and mulch from them to redo our landscaping. The soils quality was TERRIBLE. There is no way it was filtered with the amount of roots and rocks in it. They were scheduled to deliver it on Saturday morning. It was to be dumped on a tarp, in our driveway. Instead we came home to a mound of dirt dump in the middle of the road, in front of our House FRIDAY night. When I called to ask if this was our order they told me it was NOT and that it must be someone else's! I called again to clarify that again it wasn't our order and they again told us ours is to be delivered the next day and they don't know where or whose dirt that is in front on my house. My husband then had to move that dirt and place in in the back yard at the end of our lot because needed to get off the road and I didn't want to use it for our garden beds due to the quality. Then Saturday roles around and they say to us that that was our order and refused to work with us on getting more delivered or making it right with us on a refund, even though it was their mess up. I've called them over 10+ times to speak to tony (the owner), stopped in 3 times, and every time they just say he will call you. Yea, well tony has yet to call me and it's been over 3 weeks of this going on!!! Pretty bad when even his employees continuously appologoze for him and talk poorly about his managing and lack of customer satisfaction! UNPROFESSIONAL doesn't even begin to explain how I feel about the owner and how he is ignoring us over an error that was his businesses fault!!!!!!! Save your self the hassle that our family went through dealing with this business, and chose another business for your landscaping needs!!!!! read more
