He gave us advice on timeline as well as on style of photos but always leaned on our own vision and never pushed. Although we hired him as a secondary photographer for our wedding to take more documentary style shots, he coordinated perfectly with the main team and collaborated with them to capture all of the most important moments. He was also incredibly creative with the shots he took. One in particular that we loved was where he placed my wedding ring and engagement ring in my husband's ring. Our invitation was even reflected on my husband's ring; we were absolutely wowed by that photo! Lastly, the photos were given to us only after a few days and yet they did not sacrifice on quality! I used Fil as my photographer for my wedding in August. Planning with him went well but the day of…read moremy wedding I was disappointed with him. While my bridesmaids and I were getting ready and he was supposed to be photographing them, he was chatting and hanging out. I had to ask him, as well as other people to please take photos of my bridesmaids getting ready. Which in the end I only had a couple pics. Then later on at the wedding he took photos of my immediate family and myself in the street, so we have lines and the street in my wedding photos. While taking those photos we asked him numerous times to stand on the grass by the gazebo for better pics and he said "I know what I'm doing." Well he didn't, and I hate the photos. After I received my photos back which was very quick, I was very disappointed. Many of my bridal party pics have an orange tarp on the fence in the background. While he was taking photos he should have told us to move positions or told us about the tarp so I could have had someone take it down. I feel a professional would have said something instead of letting all of my pics get ruined. Instead when I brought this up to him, he basically blamed it on me for picking the place the photos were being taken. I also put down that I would like photos of guests at tables, and I have none. I was very disappointed because many of my guests were older and now i have no photos of them since they weren't dancing. His excuse was that he was only one photographer. I would understand this but there were times when he was standing there and easily could have taken a few photos of the tables and he didn't. I also have numerous photos of the same people dancing. It looks like he only took during a couple of songs because I see the same people in the same positions in most of the dancing photos. My mother passed away a few years ago and I made a memorial table, he did not take one photo of this. I was very upset about my experience and would not recommend Fil to anyone looking for a photographer. I feel he didn't want to listen to suggestions and made excuses for all of my complaints. I told him about the backgrounds and he never fixed them, he only edited a couple of photos but did not fix my main concerns. I can't even make a nice photo album because there are so many problems with the photos, and I do not have photos of most of my guests. It's very upsetting, and I had to have my husband photoshop the background of a ton of photos for me.

For the engagement shoot and the actual shoot they were nothing short of friendly and professional. We got our pictures relatively fast and they came out phenomenal. Not only that you get the rights to all your pictures. I just contacted with them a year later asking for all the raw files (they give you a DVD, hard copies and site link with pictures but they are lower resolution) and they answered instantly and are mailing me the hi res pictures back on a hard drive I sent them. Definitely thumbs up!
