When you think of a good seafood restaurant, you generally don't expect to find them in strip malls. And it is for this reason that One Fish Two Fish isn't doing itself any favours.
Walk into the restaurant and you'll notice the establishment wasn't designed for a restaurant. The space was made so pretty much any business could move into it. So the atmosphere suffers from a lack of planning. In short, it lacks an atmosphere. Outside, it is the same thing. They have a patio but it is located in a parking lot, so the only thing anyone will see while eating is passing cars.
The food itself is good, but nothing spectacular. For a specialty seafood restaurant, it doesn't really impress. The meals are good, but unimaginative and the taste is good but could certainly use some improvements.
At the front of the restaurant is a small seafood market. It has lobsters and the rest of the seafood staples but it has yet to catch on in the area. this isn't surprising considering there are two grocery stores nearby along with another seafood market that has been in the area for years.
It seems like the entire concept simply wasn't thought out properly. read more
