My daughter is 2.5 years old, and she has been attending One Heart music classes for a little bit less than a year. George, the instructor, keeps the classes engaging by changing music and rotating toys, ensuring the kids never get bored. It's adorable to see my daughter imitates the music classes at home, and I am impressed by how much she has learned from them. I highly recommend One Heart Music!

You never know what fun activities might happen in music class!

I cannot say enough great things about Mr. George and One Heart Music! I splurged on this class when my son was 2 years old and I was pregnant with my daughter. I wanted a special activity that I could do with my son, before baby sister came along. She ended up being born 2 days before our last class of the session. She was born 11/27/21, and my family of 4 attended the last music class on 11/29/21. At literally 48 hours old, music class was her first outing! We have been coming ever since. Son is 4 and baby girl is almost 2! My favorite things about music class: 1: The music! George has a fabulous mix of songs he writes himself and typical songs the kids already know. I absolutely love all of his music, and it was my most listened to albums on Spotify last year! I love kids music that is also enjoyable to adults! 2: All the components that make up the class; singing, dancing, instruments, props, bubbles, and getting a sticker at the end of every class! 3: child (and parent) participation! It's a small, intimate environment, so the kids get a chance to give their input during songs, such as choosing an animal for a farm song. 4: I love how every class starts with the hello song. It's so welcoming, and every child smiles as their name is being said! You will catch me and my kids sprinting from the parking lot, so that we do not miss the hello song! (It's hard leaving the house in time with a one year old and four year old!) 5: A personal favorite for me is when Mr. George plays one of his instruments before class starts, such as the steel drum! What started out as a splurge for some special mommy son time, has turned into our weekly routine! My son is now in preschool and I get special mommy daughter time. I will truly miss this class when my kids have outgrown it! Thank you Mr. George, for making music, and being an awesome human!

Our two little girls love going to see Mr. George! They look forward to dancing and singing with him and the other children. They have been enjoying one heart music since before the pandemic and it continues to be one of the experiences they look forward to every week. Thank you George for all of the love and joy you spread through your music and your kindness towards children and families. We encourage anyone who has children to experience the power of one heart music in person and see what a positive impact George has on little ones. We feel so lucky to have George and one heart music in our community!

I can't say enough about how interactive, professional, kind and talented Mr. George is! Our little one has developed and learned so much before our very eyes and we have One Heart Music to thank. It's the perfect consistent and reasonably priced toddler activity. Our little one has learned to take turns, put toys away, sway, dance, clap, and interact with others all while enjoying good music. She's gone from being shy to ... fearless. Highly recommend.

We love One Heart Music. We tried several other classes but this was the first one where my son became engaged and he even asks occasionally when is music class! I've noticed that even if he's distracted in class, he's singing the songs we learned throughout the week. George is great with the kids and adapting in real time to the mood of the room and what the kids want to do (which is usually standing up, moving around and being silly). I also love the introduction to new and different instruments at the start of class.

My 2 year old loves the music and is more engaged with Mr George than with any other class we've tried!

They put up the banners and did the tablecloths, which I was not expecting but very impressed. All our guests loved the place and had an amazing time. We had some slightly older siblings that also seemed to be enjoying everything also. We did the 2 hour party but I wish we did the private party for longer. There was a random kid that wandered into the party area and also an elderly woman and a baby that was not part of our party. They have a cart for the presents, but I would suggest offering a cart to bring in the decor & cake as we had to make a few trips. We had such a great time at the venue, perhaps we can repeat for next year!

Other reviews are spot on, though. The lines can get long, it feels overcrowded pretty quickly, and the staff doesn't seem particularly engaged (at all). None of that is ideal, but honestly, I can look past those things. My biggest concern is the age range. During our visit this morning, there were several older kids (around 10-12 years old) tearing through the play areas, running up slides clearly marked not to do so, and pushing past both adults and younger children. I watched two babies get knocked over, tears and all. While I believe parents should absolutely manage their kids' behavior, the age gap itself feels like the core issue. Having toddlers and babies in the same play area doesn't feel safe. I understand the challenge: families with younger kids and older siblings want a place everyone can enjoy, and birthday parties often include mixed ages. But the reality is that older kids are naturally more rambunctious, and there's nothing wrong with that. This space just isn't designed for them. Ultimately, it feels like an accident waiting to happen. Great concept and a hit with younger kids, but the lack of age separation makes it hard to feel fully comfortable from a safety standpoint.

There's so much to do, climbing, building, exploring, getting wiggles out, and even a quiet room to chill. You can tell the folks behind it really thought through everything. The vibe, the décor, even the website feel so neurodiverse-affirming. They have tech to help build community around members too. We live in Novato so the distance makes a membership tough right now, but I'm hoping we can join in the summer when school isn't in the way. I'd love to see Spirited Play Labs expand to more places as this is the future IMO (please come to Novato, I'll help!). For families like ours, where typical play spaces can feel stressful or isolating, this place is a true gem, welcoming, thoughtful, and hopeful for the future. Thank you!!!

My daughter used to play only by herself, but now we see her becoming more independent and interacting with Lia, which fills our hearts. As a mom of a child on the spectrum, I know how hard it can be. My daughter doesn't have friends, but when we come here, she has one. In other spaces, the stares that come with her stimming can be so difficult to ignore, but here at SPL, we feel safe, accepted, and not judged. That sense of belonging is rare for special needs families, and we are so grateful to have found it here. I love how the staff embraces inclusion and acceptance. it shows in everything they do. I truly wish there were more places and programs like this for our kids, because families like ours need community.
