Located in the Worcester Public market, this Jamaican food place had great oxtail. While we waited they were so kind and offered us fried plantains as an appetizer as well which were very tasty. I had the oxtail meal which is offered only on Saturday. Meal was huge. It was super moist and tasty. Spices were just right. The service was so slow. There was no line but I waited an extraordinarily long time for food at a "menu on wall" restaurant. If you don't want a patty, be prepared to wait. I'll consider myself lucky that I got to try their jerk chicken after all the reviews. The kiosk at the Worcester Public Market was nice and quaint although slightly disorganized but the food covered that, 100%! The fried plantain was such a highlight! The sweetness, mixed with the sauce from the jerk chicken was the perfect combo and it was easily a meal and a half! The fresh beans in the rice was also good and I'd definitely recommend it! Another wonderful place to get food in the Worcester Public Market. I came on a Sunday around lunchtime and was feeling adventurous to try out something new. I saw they served ackee and cod stew only on Sundays, so I inquired what it was and was able to get a sample. Ackee is a fruit and it had the texture of a mango and the whole dish itself had many flavors to it. I decided to get a bowl as it's served over rice with plantains and some greens. The dish is hearty and filling and has a tad bit of spice to it. There are so many flavors and textures from the greens to the fruit to the cod. The rice to stew ratio was definitely off with there being way more rice. The juices from the stew mixed in nicely with the rice. Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying this place out if you're looking for something tasty to eat. read more

Started visiting around Worcesyer public market and decided to give this place a try because the cakes at the front looked great. The woman who served me was one of the kindest humans I've interacted with while ordering food. I got the Jerk Chicken Rice Dish and the it was very good. It comes with rice, the Jerk Chicken, avocado slices, mango salad, and fried plantains. I loved everything about the dish even though I usually don't like mangos. The rice was very flavorful alongside the juices from the chicken. The chicken was very juicy and the flavor was great but not spicy. The sweet plantains and mango salad were a nice sweet addition to cleanse the chicken taste when I needed a break. Beef Patty was very good but I wish there was more filling on the inside. The crispy crust made up for it though! The cakes looked home made and just stare at you while you're ordering. I had to get one - I decided on chocolate and I thought there was a bit too much frosting for my liking but that's just my preference. If you like chocolate you'll definitely like the cakes. read more

I order the same thing as them and it was the jerk chicken plate. I agree with him that the chicken alone is super delicious. But it came with this salsa on top which I just wasn't a fan of and in my opinion didn't help make the plate taste that much better. It definitely did give it a nice aesthetic though. The staff was super friendly which was really nice however the food that I had if I were to order it again I would be mainly doing it for the three or four pieces of chicken and maybe rice and plantains too. I'm a huge fan if Jamaican food and have been here a few times since they have open. They are located inside the Worcester Public Market where currently masks are required inside and social distancing is enforced. There is seating inside and outside. I'd say that their food is quality over quantity. Good solid portion sizes but you don't have to be rolled out of there like most places that give you way too much rice. My favorite so far is the curry goat. Really good portion of goat and just enough spicy. Also comes with chick peas which is different but went well with it. Was served with a fresh salad with greens that come from a local farm. The jerk chicken is also good and it's made with grilled chicken. I'm not vegan, but they have plenty of vegan options as well. If you just want a snack, their homemade patties are really good. I've had the curry chicken patty which was a nice snack. Anyway I'd definitely check it out. It's the only Jamaican place that is open on Sundays in Worcesteter. Also can get a beer from the brewery while you eat and there are plenty of shops and other eateries to check out. read more

I cannot emphasize how incredible the food is here. Nestled inside of Worcester Public Market- the Ox tail is only available on Saturdays and is seasoned and juicy and tender. Odd experience yesterday. We were checking out the various vendors at the Worcester Public Market and, upon seeing One Love, had a craving for fried plantains. The order taker was nice enough but after paying $3.00 plus tax, she eventually handed me tiny bag and said something to the effect "we ran out of plantains and normally the order would be larger but we only had a few left". The bag contained 4 small, cold, dried out plantains that were flavorless. We were in a bit of a rush and didn't have time to walk back over and ask why they even took our money in the first place vs serving us these sorry scraps. Very bizarre. read more
