I haven't been here in a few years. But I decided I wanted to grab lunch to go there today since it was behind my office. It's not as good as I remember it tasting. Don't get me wrong, it was okay and most definitely edible but I remember this being very good last time I went. I will come back again because maybe they just had an off day. Anyways this stop in was a takeout order for lunch. I got the empanadas which were average, the chicken stew was tasty (but had a lot of bones), and the rice had a really weird taste to it. All in all it was okay and it's been really good in the past so I will definitely go back.

    Carne frita con Mofongo

We stumbled across this place accidentally I pulled into the plaza with the intention of turning around to head to another local establishment that also serves Puerto Rican cuisine. When I noticed the name Brisas restaurant and bakery so I decided to check and see if they had pastillios de guyaba which they did while purchasing I noticed the menu and I saw MOFONGO . So we decided to give this place a shot to satisfy our craving. There is a large dining room with seating for about 50 people. I ordered two carne frita mofongos a side of tostones. We also ordered a Cubano sandwich the sandwich comes with fries (fresh not frozen). The owner was a really nice guy he actually gave us a dessert called tembleque a kind of coconut custard it was yummy! They also bake bread at this bakery and they constantly cook it throughout the day (Pan Sobao) is they're specialty. Everything was great and we will be returning here in the near future.

    Cubano sandwich

I am probably one of the few non Spanish speakers who keeps coming here to eat. But I do so because the Cubano sandwich here is just amazing. The bread is made in house and has a deliciously sweet flavor which compliments the spicy mustard and sour pickles. The pork is extremely tender with crispy and juicy skin. Each bite just melts in your mouth. They also serve a variety of fried, roasted or stewed meats served with rice or beans and also mofongos (mashed plantain dish with different kind of meat or seafood that is popular in Puerto Rico). Since it is also a bakery, they have bunch of pastries and desserts. The availability does vary day to day and what time you visit. Since it is family owned, service can be slow for larger groups and business hours in the evening are not always reliable. Nevertheless the owner/staff there are extremely friendly and eager to let you sample food or suggest recommendations. This is a must try for Yelpers in the Worcester area.

Delicious white rice, beans, pernil (pork) and tostones with ketchup/mayo.

Delicious whole food. Generous portions. I wish I had known about Brisa's earlier. I will definitely be back.

Food is always great here. Made fresh to order so it takes a little bit of time, but worth the wait.

Gorgeous presentation with an edible flower and gold dust. We also had a side order of maduros for an app. Delicious! The maduros were legit my favorite thing here, although everything was great. For a main course I had shrimp in garlic sauce with mamposteo. Served on a huge plate, there was a giant portion of rice and a small side salad as well as many good sized shrimp. Super delicious and the food was piping hot. Service was great and I loved the music here, which was a mix of reggaeton, Bad Bunny and Karol G but played at a low, chill volume so it didn't distract from conversation. The interior is sort of casual but with some nice touches like a wall of greenery with a PR flag. Our server was super friendly and this is a family business. We parked in the private lot in the back, which is reserved for tenants of the building. A guy who appeared to be associated with the barber shop in the same building told us it was safe to leave our car there to visit the restaurant. I'd recommend parking near the barbershop since they seemed to keep their door open and would see anyone messing with your car. There were a number of homeless people here begging but they did not bother us. Only reasons for not giving five stars has nothing to do with the food, atmosphere or service. I found the women's bathroom in need of a cleaning and they also have a small convenience fee that was not mentioned anywhere but was added to our bill. Additionally, be careful to review your check because they automatically add a 20 percent gratuity.

Being such a famous restaurant we expected the best , our friend first time in Puerto Rico so we wanted to show them our tipical PR food. First our waiter seemed like he did not want to be there, second we ordered the food an it took forever (over an hour and a half), and lastly when the food got to the table it was cold, it seemed like it had been sitting in the kitchen for quite a while. The womens bathroom was pathetic!!! I have never seeing something like that (other than a porto-potty) the trash was full to the top, and the floor had more trash than the trashcans, and toilet, forget it!! I cannot describe the condition they were in.

Food is adventurous & bold; memorable meals over the years: Fried Goat cheese with charcuterie meats, manchego cheese & french bread, have to do The Bocado Experience for 2 or 4, Jamon Iberico, Pato (duck pastrami w sherry glaze), tuna poke, atun de bocado (seared yellowfin saku tuna), braised pork belly, Spanish octopus, mussels in cream sc, twin mini Kobe style beef burgers, venison, fried calamari, lollipop lamb chops, seared beef tenderloin, classic paella & Paella de Mariscos, & baked flan for dessert. Just so fascinating - their chefs can put out such tasty small plates so quickly, each packed with such fresh & exciting flavors, always cooked to perfection (never over or under cooked). Get the sangria pitchers, bar is always packed & hopping. Dining room just got a refresh, but was beautiful even before with a great atmosphere also. Our least favorite was the rabbit (way too many small bones to pick out).

Okay, well. DO NOT EXPECT TO PHOTOGRAPH YOUR FOOD & HAVE YOUR CAMERA EAT FIRST here (this also…read moreincludes the cocktails). The food presentation just aint it.....there is none. I would suggest to them using smaller appetizer platters so the food doesn't look like it got slapped on them straight outta the pan with literally no care & respect for the ingredients. The Gambas Al Ajillo deserved more than 2 pieces (NOT SLICES) of croutons, The pork belly & polenta dish was unbalanced & there was hardly any polenta to be evenly shaped between a party of 4, It was the saddest looking octopus dish I've ever seen next to a pile of spices potatoes. Just because it is a tapas wine bar, doesn't mean they're given a pass to ignore how appealing it looks to guests. Hit or miss for the mai tais (the bartenders need to work on their ratios). Bcuz why am I can just order a screwdriver with the amount of orange juice we were given. HOWEVER, everything is edible & incredibly delicious. The authentic Spanish flavors absolutely shine thru!
