We had a significant…read moreglitch that could have made things terrible but 2 Men and a Truck handled it so well, it made moving a great experience because I was so grateful to them for how they handled the glitch. Unknown to me, the buyer of my house showed up with a 18 wheeler truck of their belongings on the same day and at the same time as 2 Men and a Truck were scheduled to move my belongings out. This was contrary to the contract and completely unexpected. It was especially difficult because my house has 4 levels and requires much moving of heavy things up and down lots of steps. It was even harder since other movers were moving in heavy furniture of the new owner. Even with this glitch, 2 Men and a Truck were polite, hardworking, conscientious and made it work. I was so proud and grateful to them, it made my view of the whole thing great. I cannot say enough wonderful things about 2 Men and a Truck!

It was soon clear why three were brought instead of two. Two of the three guys were tired out. This was around 8:30am. It ended up taking longer for these guys to move me than it had taken two guys to move me two years ago (Two Men and a Truck). I pitched in to hurry things along because they guys got even slower toward the end. These guys also did not know how to load a truck. My furniture was not properly secured and most items were scratched or dented. The liability waiver I signed stated that Motivated Movers are not responsible for damage to pressboard furniture, and most of the damaged furniture I complained about is pressboard furniture. I called after the move and was asked to text photos. I did so with in the required 48 hours but never received a response (two weeks has passed).

We won't unpack furniture for another month as we are painting the inside entire house and I am afraid of what other damages I will find. This is our 38-40th move in 40 years and the ONLY company that we paid high insurance fee with zero actual coverage. Will never use them or recommend them as we wasted the insurance money and could have used it to repair damage-piano edge crushed.

I was very scared of getting stood up and he assured me they were a reliable company. The day of our move out he sent 10 guys to help pack up our house and load it into two 26 foot trucks. They used plenty of plastic wrap and blankets to make sure everything was safe. They arrived on time for move in day and it took the three guys 10 hours to unload the trucks. They dropped boxes, smashed boxes underneath heavier items even though the boxes were clearly labeled on every side and the top of the boxes with the contents ("FRAGILE" "CHINA" "CRYSTAL" "DISHES" "GLASSES"), turned wardrobe boxes on their sides and upside down causing all the clothes to become completely jumbled up inside of the boxes...Movers were slow, surly, smoking, on their phones, took LOTS of breaks and then wanted to take a 30 minute lunch! We were only moving from a storage unit across town into a 2 bedroom/2 bath one story house- not moving any appliances. What made the whole experience worse is the awful customer service from Brian. He came to inspect all the damaged items at my house with his arms across his chest, defensive and got an attitude with me! AMAZING. He acted like I was a monster because I complained they wanted a 30 minute lunch- (BTW I said yes take a lunch break, but how about just 20 minutes? I was upset because they had been taking breaks the whole time!) I will not be compensated for the Waterford crystal because I packed it. I did not read or sign any paperwork, yet they are saying this is "their policy." What's the point of hiring professional movers with insurance?! Just truly disappointing. I will NEVER recommend Park Transfer and I cannot imagine how they stay in business. Ugh.
