I would like to say this is a brand new place as they have not yet had their grand opening yet. Please get there early because parking is odd and you either have steps or an elevator to get to the spa. It was a little chaotic in the front because one of the girls that handed me the paper said that normally somebody else does this, it appears that One Med Spa and One Vein Clinic are the same business. While they have 2 different front doors, they are the same once you enter. They had a special going on and their signature facial that was $50. It was probably about 35 to 40 minutes total and since I just wanted to see how the place was. I went into the room which was decorated beautifully with a lit up faux tree on the wall and lovely wallpaper. The woman who did my facial gave me a wraparound and told me to take my shirt off as she massages your shoulders and then she left the room I laid on the bed and covered myself up with the blanket and she came in. She went to put on a one piece / connected head wrap (What is usually a hair wrap secured in place with velcro to avoid products in your hair) awkwardly over my head. I helped her by taking it and doing it myself as I had to pull over head. She explained that she was sorry, but the client before me had taken the hair wrap with her. I thought this was a bit odd as A) shouldn't they have more than one for sterilization purposes and B) this should be removed and undone before she walked out of the room. In my opinion, I think a facial should be soft, smooth and relaxing. She was fast and applied too much pressure and there was nothing relaxing about it. I had to ask her to please not use so much pressure (especially on my throat!) and avoid closing my nostrils when she was applying product as I breath through my nose. She did both once I asked. She was super nice. I don't remember her name, but I do know that there was a language barrier. I almost felt as if I was getting a facial at a teaching school. I am curious if whoever hired her had her do a facial prior to hiring I'm not sure how this works, but I feel that probably should be a prerequisite. Once she was done, she did not remove my hair wrap, and instead of waiting for me to leave, she walked back in. I had just finished getting dressed but normally they wait outside for you. I went to go pay and there was only 1 person there and she was helping another person. After about 8 minutes she had the Credit card machine for me to pay for my facial. Never did ask if I wanted to leave a tip on the charge, luckily I paid the lady when she walked back in in cash. I would most likely not come back read more
