In a perfect world, none of us would ever deal with car accidents. But in a city like New Orleans, they're often an unavoidable reality. When it happened to me, Alex and his talented team made my vehicle look good as new--maybe even better. The service was exactly what was promised. Pricing was more than fair, with no hidden fees or surprise add-ons--just honest work at a fair cost. And the timing was spot-on. My car was ready exactly when they said it would be, just like when they repaired our Jeep Renegade three years ago. The quality of workmanship speaks for itself. Alex never judged me for wanting to repair my 2019 Ford Fiesta rather than let insurance total it. I love that car--it has barely 50,000 miles and gets 42 mpg on the interstate--and Alex understood that connection. To top it all off, they returned the car cleaned from top to bottom. While I certainly hope I never need a body shop again, it's reassuring to know A. Vargas Body Shop is just a phone call away if I do!

I called my dealership and they directed me to a place with horrible reviews. So I decided to go it alone and chose A Vargas. I pull in and ask for an estimate. Instead Alex says the bumper is just loose (no damage) and everything looks fine. He then snaps it back it place. Problem solved. Alex wouldn't accept a payment! He said "it was easy" and I told him it was his expertise and availability to quickly help me that was worth money. Finally I just put some cash in his shirt pocket, waved goodbye and walked away with both of us smiling. I can't image a more trustworthy, professional, and knowledgeable body shop. Don't let the location or the cluttered appearance of the shop stop you. This is a great business.

My car has a rain leak, and I know with 100% confidence where it's coming from.  Unfortunately it's one of those scenarios where knowing the problem and actually being able to fix the problem are two different issues.  So before jumping into dramatic DIY repairs, I decided to try to get professional estimates. The catch? I didn't want to take PTO at work to bring my car in. Fradella's was one on a list of shops I ended up calling.  As was expected , I had to go through the circular argument: Them: "You have to bring the car in." Me: " Why?" Them: " So we can see the damage." Me: " The damage is invisible because it's inside the door." Them: " Okay, but you have to bring the car in." And so on. Eventually they agreed that I could email them some pictures and they'd give me an estimate based off that.  I think the person I emailed forgot about it or was out for a little while, because it took a week to get a response.  However I did eventually get an estimate from them without having to bring my car in, and considering how difficult that was with all the places I called, I felt they deserved a good review.

Upon arriving, I was struck by the scene before me: the large, garage-like building and its backyard were cluttered with cars in various stages of repair. At first glance, it was clear that the place was in disarray. The floors were filthy, auto parts were scattered everywhere collecting dust, and the signs and pictures on the walls were faded from years of neglect. It was definitely not an inviting place. After waiting a few minutes, disappointed by the lack of greeting, I navigated my way into their "office" through an indistinct door. Inside, I was met by an elderly, disheveled man. I informed him that I was there to drop off a car, but before I could explain further, he immediately demanded to know my name. He then proceeded to rudely lecture me, stating that he was just covering for the owner, who was out on an errand, and insisted he needed my name. I tried to explain that they would not have my name on record, only the owner's, but he cut me off with his tirade. Finally, after listening to his lecture, I managed to explain that their records would show another name for the car. When I examined the car, I found that it was not even dirty. I cannot speak to the value provided by a $275 detailing job. I know of other body shops that are so clean you feel like taking your shoes off and eating off the floor. I wouldn't take my vehicle to this shop even if the service was free.
