So, I got a second opinion and NO cavities just like I suspected. At the time, Dr. Cronchite was out of the office with back problems and a different dentist was filling in (I don't remember her name). However, since I've been going there, I've been diagnosed with 2 cavities (two different times), was recommended for a root canal (performed at a different recommended office), recommended to have a wisdom tooth out (also performed at a different recommended office). That was 11 weeks ago and part of my face is still numb. Now, I'm left wondering how much of that was needed and how much was a cash grab. In the past I had read similar reviews, but ignored them. BEWARE, Be SKEPTICAL, and ask for proof of diagnosis!

I got a voicemail from Jill's secretary saying that I'd owe .80. After receiving the voicemail (which I made sure to save), I called and made an appointment. I got the cavities filled and before leaving, Jill's secretary again assured me the cost was .80. A month later they sent me a bill for over $500 because they use a "high quality material for the filling". When I talked with Jill's secretary the first time, she just kept screaming about the material used and saying it over and over again and that is why I was charged AFTER receiving services. The specific material used should have been mentioned to the insurance company when I asked PRIOR and NOT after receiving services. Updated on 9/24/2025: Jill's unprofessional, uneducated secretary decided to call me to "set the record straight" today. Apparently she forgot that she left a voicemail saying how much I'd owe after getting them filled and even had the audacity to said "I didn't say .80 cents that bogus". Guess it's a good thing I saved the recording of her saying how much it'd be. You can't charge clients AFTER receiving services and don't ever call me thinking you're going to be disrespectful and rude again. A little word of advice, Jill: - Allowing employees to yell at clients isn't the greatest strategy when building a business. You could be the best dentist in town (and I'm not saying you are or you're not), but if the people who work for you are hateful, disgusting, nasty people, then it makes your business look bad. Also, if I owed that money, then it would have been paid up front - like one of the techs told me during my first visit.

The dentists have always been fantastic and the lady at the front desk was always so helpful and sweet. Well, they have a new girl also working the front desk who is incredibly rude. My Dental Insurance was having issues getting my employer to update my address with my PO Box, so I've been waiting for them to resend the insurance check. I've checked in on the issue multiple times, but it seems like the insurance company really takes its time resending the check, as I have been dealing with this for months and still haven't seen a new check come through. I let Tecumseh Dental know EXACTLY WHAT WAS GOING ON, and that I would be in communication regarding when the check arrived etc, and that I would pay the invoice immediately after. The new lady at the front desk for Tecumseh was super shitty, short, and acted like I haven't been a patient there for 10 years and paid thousands of dollars. She told me to let them know, but acted super unhappy about it. (Remember, we're talking about $200) Since then I have been in touch multiple times about it, letting them know I've been doing everything I can on my end. WELL- yesterday I got a notice in the mail that they are sending me to collections for non-payment. This is absolutely absurd because A., I have been in contact with them about it the entire time and B., are you really that hard up on $200 that you're going to send a long-time patient to collections? How embarrassing. Needless to say, I will be calling them first thing this morning to pay the bill I haven't received insurance money for, and to let them know our family won't be back for services, and I definitely will let everyone know to avoid Tecumseh Dental at all costs, especially if they don't do something to make this right.

They made me feel more comfortable . They both knew what they were doing and the dental area wasn't crowded with patients either. Not a long wait time once I had my appointment. I have two more appointments with them set up for this fall. I feel confident im in good care. Please note: The entrance to the building is not labeled weirdly - there's no sign - but it is in the same building as a chiropractor.

Her approach to patients absolutely one of respect with a true concern for their well-being and comfort. She and her staff continuously refine their dental techniques. I come out of her offices feeling smarter about what's in my mouth, and that is saying something. Her fees are a bit higher than other dental practices, but you get what you pay for. If it gets me to actually look forward to each dental visit, then it is worth it!

In fact, when I first moved to Lafayette, I had a dentist give me an estimate for fillings for my "four cavities" which I knew I didn't have. After getting several referrals from co-workers for Dr. Snyder, I made an appointment. She is one of the top dentists I've ever been to. Her and her staff are friendly and professional. I have visited her office three times now (guess what...still no cavities!), and have zero complaints. She's about the friendliest person you'll ever meet too. My services always go smoothly. Her office is clean and modern, equipped with all top dental equipment. On my most recent visit, the office had to reschedule my appointment at the last minute. Most medical offices will penalize a patient if they do this yet do it themselves freely. Not Dr. Snyder's office. I received a gift card for the inconvenience of the last minute rescheduling. I sincerely appreciated this accountability and gesture. Even though Dr. Snyder is out of network for me and I have to pay in full up front and wait for insurance to reimburse me, going to a friendly and ethical dental office is worth it. I recommend her to everyone I know.
