Good products, bad place to work. as a former employee, any disrespect from middle management was…read moreshrugged off and accompanied with gaslighting from upper management. incredibly high turnover, company almost exclusively uses temp agencies. emotional managers who can not communicate like adults and take any disagreement or criticization as a personal attack and return with anger. witnessed temp workers leave after a few hours and also witnessed two year employee leave after being called weak by manager because the products cut her hand. not a good place for any emotionally healthy adults. i leave this review in hopes that i can at least save one person from entering and suffering the same fate i did for 12 months. steer clear of this place if youre an employee. but if you need products as a customer, this is the spot for you.

I had to reach out a dozen times over the course of a month just to get a hold of someone. When I called the last time, the receptionist literally laughed at me and said, "Oh, you're the guy that keeps calling." I decided to stop by the showroom in person the next day, hoping to finally speak with someone. To my surprise, the receptionist there repeated the same comment and laughed in my face. Completely unprofessional as she knows how long I've been attempting to reach them. When I eventually did get in touch with the owner, he casually admitted he hadn't even started our quote. I told him he'd had it for over a month and could have at least reached out to say there'd be a delay as I had been waiting for the project. His response? "Yeah, just haven't had a chance" and that he probably wouldn't be able to get it done, wasting over a months' time waiting on him. This level of service is unacceptable. We will not be returning.

They do custom personalized work for clients catering to all styles. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable about interior design. I never really noticed this place before, probably because I wasn't painting at the time. I recently took up, watercolor, and brought all my stuff up here, but needed a few extra supplies. During my first visit, I noticed they had a workshop on that upcoming Saturday, and I eagerly signed up for it. It was an all-day workshop with Paul Taylor, and he was an INCREDIBLE instructor. Even though I had taken classes for three months before we left Texas, I learned so much from him in that one day. The class focused on doing one painting from beginning to end, and you would think an seven hour day would be too much for one painting, but it was absolutely perfect. It allowed us to take our time and allowed time for him to explain every move and assist us as we painted. Now about the shop... What a jewel! It is very well stocked, and had almost everything I needed, except for a couple of paint colors. But to top it off, the owner was working the day I visited, and she was so incredibly helpful. She walked around and helped me find everything I needed, and we had a wonderful visit while I was there. I returned again on another day when a young woman was working, and she was equally as helpful and enjoyable. When we come up here next year, I think I'm going to base our visits around the classes they offer. I would love to take the watercolor class that they offer that goes on for several weeks. If you consider yourself even remotely, creative and artistic, skip Hobby Lobby, and Michaels and support this wonderful local establishment.
