My first time visiting this location, I normally go to the larger more updated Henrietta location. This store is alot older... limited items on hand. Fortunately I was able to find what I immediately needed and or good enough alternatives. They had a few acrylic stands and holders I needed asap, no time to order online. Aisles were cleaned and organized, staff was limited too. They are hiring if you want a part time gig. They do have a copy and marketing service section. The worst experience two days in a row!! Stopped in Saturday to order some business cards for my new shop. The man at the counter told me I was in the wrong line, just my luck. So I moved over and after waiting for several minutes a young lady came up and explained I needed 250 cards made. So long story short...she spins the computer around and says "you can look through these 56 pages of cards and pick one then press the button and you cann customize it!" Did I mention I had to work in about 30 and I just assumed that it would take the same amount of time ordering just like we've ordered for the other shop for the last, at least 18yrs. I was highly mistaken. I went back two days later thinking maybe different employees, not as busy, etc. Another women IS working and she sets the computer up, even showed me how to search for certain styles and walks away. Okay, this is gonna work this time,.....NOPE! I asked the other guy working there and after asking if he could help me, be stated "Id have to charge you to help!" At this point I was ready to pay but alas he walked away as well. I stood there for 20 minutes trying to figure it out and asked again for some help. No acknowledgement! So just wanted to let you know that because of this we will no longer do business with you through any of our businesses. read more

Having problems with my hip and lower back I had to make some changes from a new, better bed, to special sneakers and a new computer chair. I looked around online, but I knew I'd end up at Staples. I've always liked their stores and I use to shop at the one on E. Ridge in Irondequoit. So yesterday morning I came to this one on W. Ridge in Greece. They have quite a selection of chairs to chose from as well as other products. I looked around and wanted a little help and Mirjana an employee came over and spoke with me. She was very helpful. And then Mike D, another employee also spoke with me. I found the chair I wanted and asked about the assembly. Mirjana and Mike spoke briefly and said they could have it ready in about 2 hours. Well in 1 hour I got a phone call from Mike and he said the chair is ready to pick up. I was impressed. When I got there to pick it up, they had it setting at the front counter, and Mike helped me load it in the car. Customer service is important and they certainly met the mark! Anyways the cost of the chair, assembly, grand total $124.18. I'm pleased! read more

I generally frequent the Staples in Henrietta, but today I had to run to the Greece location. Greece location is really not in a prime location. Certainly explains the empty parking lot. Anyhow, my co-worker was able to order the item we needed several hours earlier on the internet. From there I ran into the store and picked up the pre-paid item at the customer service desk. My only complaint was, the gentleman asked to see my license. All he did was confirm that it was a NYS ID. He did not check to see if my name or credit card matched the order information. That does not seem very secure to me. read more

Came here to ship a package, they are with UPS. I walked in, was directed to the appropriate counter, and was on my way in less than two minutes. The staff was friendly and the process was super easy. They scanned my box, handed me a receipt and I was good to go! read more

An obscure office store in comparison to the other ones in the area but it's one of my personal favorites. It's definitely not as strong of a business as it was about ten or twenty years ago but it's still aged well. The design on the outside is a bit dated but the interior is well layed out. The electronics like printers are all kept to the right side where the registers are and the left side is all the office and school materials like paper, pencils, notebooks, staplers, etc. Need an office chair or a new desk? You won't be disappointed! There's a generous amount put out for sale that's set up just like a showroom! To you office workers out there, you'll find what you need here to complement your personal workspace. All of the merchandise is neatly displayed, well kept, and reasonably priced. If you are unable to find what your looking for, just ask a staff member, it's rare that they are completely busy and they are more then willing to help you find what you are looking for. It's hard to see these type of brick & mortar stores shutting their doors in this day of age because of major retail chains providing the same office materials at a lower cost. However, this particular Staples has managed to keep their prices low and service high. Haven't visited yet? I recommend it soon! Ten years from now, it will probably b nothing but a shell of a building that once showed a classic example of an office retail store. Also, have extra ink cartridges? You can return to those for credit on purchases you make later on, but you need a rewards card to do it. read more

Awful experience here today. I ordered postcards last night in the hopes that they'd be done sometime today! They open at 8, and I stopped in around 1240, thinking they had plenty of time to get them done, especially considering they boast a "one hour online ordering" timeframe. I stood in line for 10 minutes and when it was finally my turn, they hadn't even started them yet! The guy wouldn't give me a timeframe of when they'd be done, even when prompted if I should wait or come back. So I left to run other errands and came back 20 minutes later. Not done, just about finished. Then I wanted to buy stamps. Nothing crazy. Just stamps. The girl went to get them out of their safe, fine. But when she handed them to me, she didn't cash me out. Just left. Disappeared. Another woman came over, took a different customer, and left me there too. Finally, the printer guy came over with someone else and I asked if I could pay for them elsewhere in the store because obviously they weren't going to help me at the printing station. No apologies, no thank yous. Super rude. The only saving grace was the sales associate (Fletcher) who helped when I got to the register. He apologized for making me wait, asked me how my day was, and was able to get a smile from me. He thanked me when I left and was just a pleasant human. I get that it's busy and you're probably understaffed, but some general manners go a long way. read more

Just waited about five minutes and a counter for two employees for standing there sorting through paperwork couldn't be bothered to come over and take my UPS package. I'm not 100% sure but I got the impression it was because I was white. read more

Second time coming here to the Printing department and I waited in line for 40 mins to print ONE picture. This also happened the first time. I know the employees are trying but it happened both times. So frustrating. There's only so much you can do on the self-service printers and if you need something in a bigger size you are forced to wait in line. They need more staff to help get through the lines bc absolutely no one wants to be standing in a Staples for that long before even getting helped. Then even a simple request like one picture being printed takes forever even when you are prepared with your Document ID and barcode. Really wish they would do something about this. read more

I love this store! The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the products on sale. Everything on my list was in stock, in several variations and price points. I even made two impulse purchases because they were such good prices. I appreciate not having to wait for the product I wanted to be delivered to my home and shop locally whenever I can so stores like this one remain open. The music was annoying pop and too loud for comfortable conversation with my shopping mate. Otherwise, the store is well-lit, the aisles are neat and well-labeled and the parking lot offers many handicapped spaces right in front of the door. read more

It's fine as a general office store, but service is slow and not particularly attentive. I have felt more like the proverbial guy in the Invisible Man. Still, its functional. One thing - the store is always dirty. Just look around. It needs some basic upgrades and consistent upkeep along with better management. read more

Staples is fast becoming one of my favorite stores. They have a good selection of many of the things that I need. I buy laptops, printers, ink, school supplies, paper, and even things like backpacks for carrying laptops and books. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and nearby if you need them. It's also a good place to return used ink cartridges because they give you credit towards future purchases if you sign up for their rewards card. read more
