It's now been FIVE weeks that I've been trying to get in touch with them. it appears Tru-Tek is no longer honoring their warranty. With so many houses in Colorado needing roof work we scheduled it for the first week in October, the soonest all the materials would be here. Within 3 days of the material arriving Ian's crew was here to get the repairs done. His crew was professional, quick and did an AMAZING job. Unfortunately our bank held on to the check they were supposed to endorse for 5 months. Ian and I kept in contact over what we were doing to expedite this process. Ian was so fantastic and patient with our situation, he went above and beyond with communicating with our credit union. He even offered to wait for the house closing to get paid. He does not rush the selling/contract process and explains the typical steps from start to finish based on the roof style your home has. No detail was too small. No question was too mundane. He took care of the permit and inspection too. Donny is very professional and personable. When they finished the roof repair they left the heating tape hanging off the roof and did not put it back on. I had to call them back out to finish the job but by then it had snowed and it couldn't be put back properly. I was selling my house so the work couldn't be fixed until this last summer so I agreed to pay $650 of the bill then even though they hadn't finished the job and the rest when they finished. It is now November, 1 year since they replaced the roof and they are now billing me the $350. In addition, when I expressed my displeasure for how this has happened, he called me entitled and is threatening to ruin my credit and take me to court. I have no problem paying what I should pay, that is not the issue. The issue is that he sent me an invoice a year later, with no photos, no explaining or any type of details. Just a bill. I never should have had to call them to do the job right that I was being charged for and $1000 for 30 minutes of work is excessive. He is now being extremely rude and refuses to take responsibility for doing such an unprofessional job. Prior to working with DRS I had only had 1 roof replaced. The difference between the prior company…read moreand DRS is night and day. I work in Real Estate so I see many roofs replaced. The #1 problem most consumers have is the cleanliness of the crew while working. DRS was impeccably clean throughout the process. Instead of just tossing debris off the side of the roof they made sure to either bag it up or throw it directly in the dumpster while demoing the old roof. I cannot find a single nail in my yard or driveway and if you've ever had a roof replaced you understand that is no easy thing to accomplish as a roofer. Also, the roof system they installed is flawless. My old roof had all kinds of areas where the shingles didn't overlap properly but that is not the case here. All of the flashing is super clean looking without any loose ends. I will not hesitate to recommend DRS in the future.

I can't find my sales contract but David said it's only guaranteed for 5 yrs. Pics show the damage that I was asking them to repair. I was over the warranty date by 3 mos. so thought they'd do the right thing and repair a shoddy job. Since he didn't want to, I asked if they'd come and give me a repair estimate and I'd pay for it. He told me 4 different times within 6 wks that they'd be here to look at it but never did. The damage on the roof wasn't found earlier because it's on the side that I don't often see and gutters are not often cleaned on that side, but my grandson cleaned gutters and found damage. You can see it's not a new rip in the shingle and it's been like that for well before warranty was up. I sent them these pictures. When I had another company come for an estimate, they said it was poor workmanship and that I should try to get CWC to honor warranty. They also found some other places where the shingles were coming off on the facing in front. So I made one more call and again promise to look at it and no show. So... I did report to BBB but they couldn't do anything for me because it was past the 5 yr warranty. This is a bad company. When they can't even come to see the damage and give an estimate (even though they say they will). And it would've been good customer service to honor the repair since the damage is obviously old. You better think twice before hiring CWC. A company is only as good as it's management. They've probably started going under another Company name since they must get lots of complaints. This included a free upgrade to impact resistant shingles which he failed to deliver, then blew off what he had written in the agreement claiming "he was going to pay for the shingles but I still got what the insurance company paid for." Then came the sub contracting roofers, who sent a guy to do his first ever roof project, literally. He was solo on my roof for 4 days and left trash everywhere. The job looked terrible. Matt, who was supposed to be "managing the project" ended up being the most unreliable person so I began dealing with the owner. With some persuasion, he came to see my roof in person. Luckily he agreed that the job was terrible and replaced it, with the correct impact resistant shingles later down the road but that took some arguing and a lot of stress. Then of course the ending: they sent me a notice to lien on my property out of the blue, months after completion with no contact and no inspection. They later retracted that intent to lien and ordered an inspection, which failed the first time because there were holes in my roof, created by the first roofer. There was a LOT that went wrong with my project that a little organization and better communication between employees could fix, but I'll never get back the 8 months of stress, lies and sub-par customer service.

Edwin's crew came by about a week or so later and installed our new roof, vents, and a downspout. The roof was inspected by code enforcement, and he said, "They did a great job." We concur! Edwin was very professional throughout the entire process. We for sure chose the right company in Foothills Roofing and Exteriors to replace our roof. We would definitely use them again if the need arises.
