First time here. The food was great but the service was subpar and the food took 2 years to come out. I'd do it again.

We were traveling and decided to stop here for a bite to eat. The lobster bisque was good but didn't have any chucks of lobster but did have some type of flaky meat(maybe fish) we both got the grilled chicken and two sides. The food was fine but the service leaves something to be desired. We were the only table in there at the time and the server just seemed like she didn't want to be there. Very rude servers, the food is high priced but, not worth the money. Save your money and go to a Mexican restaurant way better food there. We ended up trying it here tonight after talking about far to many times. We joked about the tv ad playing behind us saying it was tullahoma premier fine dining experience later after we left. 1. It was very slow service despite it being mostly empty inside. 2. Ordered a 4-5oz draft sampler soon as we got our sodas delivered but didn't see those show up till 30ish minutes later when our dinner was delivered even then she only brought me 3 of the 4. When asked she said " oh I forgot we are out of the 4th one do you want something else?" So I said sure and picked a different one. But that one never showed up either. Ended up just paying our ticket and leaving. Gave up on getting the rest of our order. The server just took the money and never even payed attention to the fact she never brought the rest of the order again. 3. Also apparently the premier fine dining experience is being reminded to grab your fork off your used salad plate and hold on to it so you have something to eat your dinner with. But you better just hold on to it till dinner gets here cause the only thing you have left to set it on is your soda glass or the one used crumbled up paper napkin it came wrapped up in 4.My girlfriend liked the salmon pasta she ordered but the parmesan chicken I had was fried way to long. It was very very dark and black and had a burnt taste. I had a few bites and just couldn't eat anymore so I got a Togo box to take it home for the dog. After all that I just wanted to leave so we asked for a box and our ticket. This is when we finally got to see the server shine and rush of to get our box and ticket closed out as quickly as possible. My family and I, 6 people total went in to eat tonight, the host was freaking out because we didnt have reservations, and said it would be an hour and a half before we could have a table. There were two people waiting to be sat. We are from Murfreesboro and wanted to eat something local. Also, I would suggest to get a new host, he was super awkward and was not the best face for a reservation type restaurant. He just pushed us away, and we will never become a customer there. We're in town visiting, and wanted to try something local instead of a chain fast food restaurant. Every dish we ordered was delicious. This was Fast Jacks when we moved away and we loved it. The menu is much the same however there are some good and bad changes. I ordered my favorite steak on a stick, this dish in the past was Filet however now is a cheaper cut of beef. I could not chew it and not much flavor. My baked potato and breaded Okra were both great. My wife had the grilled shrimp and salad bar. Her shrimp were great but the salad bar did not have much. Only iceberg lettuce a very few toppings and dressing. You could basically make a house salad, disappointing to say the least. Our friends had grilled chicken fingers plate and he had a pork dish both of them loved there meal. Prices left us expecting more quality. On the good side the facility had been remodeled and made for a more enjoyable dining experience. A little brighter in dining area and many improvements to open the space. How does this place only have four stars? I went with my friend. She had the rattlesnake pasta and I had the Caribbean encrusted salmon. We both got the salad bar as well. The salad bar was absolutely DIVINE, and I don't eat salad. Don't even get me started on the Caribbean encrusted salmon! I have NEVER had salmon that tasted so good! Tonight was my first time visiting. I was excited to try something new and support an independently owned restaurant. We entered the restaurant at approximately 7:50pm and noticed a couple sitting on the bench. After waiting at the desk for a bit, a gentleman approached and asked very matter of fact if we had a reservation. We didn't and then he proceeded to ask for a name for our party. I asked him how long the wait was and he quoted 45 min but it might not take that long. I was kind of puzzled since the restaurant didn't seem to be that busy and there was only one other couple waiting in front of us. However, we waited patiently. We watched quite a few people leave and quite a few tables get cleaned while we remained sitting on one of their benches. After about 25 min, we were sat a table. A few minutes later, a friendly young man greeted us asking us for our drink order and if we were interested in any appetizers. My husband ordered a coke and a water and I ordered a sweet tea. When the waiter returned, he handed me the water and my husband the coke. I moved the water back to my husband and reminded the waiter that I had ordered sweet tea. We went ahead and ordered. My husband ordered the 12 oz sirloin, loaded baked potato, and a house salad with ranch. He also added a side of broccoli. I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken with a baked potato with cheese only and a house salad with ranch. We also ordered the southwest egg rolls as an appetizer. The gentleman later brought my sweet tea and my salad. I immediately noticed how so many pieces of the lettuce were brown and the cucumbers and tomatoes looked soft and pithy. I ate maybe half or a little less. The waiter returned with a Caesar salad for my husband- however, he had ordered a house salad so the waiter took it back to the kitchen and returned with a house salad but no dressing. While we were waiting for our appetizer (which took longer than expected), I noticed a woman come up to the table of 5 next to us and I overheard their conversation. Apparently one of the women at the table had found a hair in her food and had reported it. This was the manager I presume, coming out to speak to the lady about her food. All I heard her say to the woman was, "Ma'am, this is your hair. See how it's straight right there and it's the same color as yours. But we recooked your food and hope everything will be ok now. I just wanted to come tell you because I'd like to think it'd make you feel better to know it was in fact your hair". Do whaaaat?!? I have restaurant experience while in college and frequent restaurants on a regular basis and never have I EVER seen or heard something like that. The table of customers remained polite- much more than most likely me or my husband would have anyway. Apparently those people are regulars as well. Needless to say, I doubt they will be after that experience. We finally received our appetizer and then shortly our food. My husband never received his broccoli that he ordered and my potato came out without any cheese. Other than that, the main course was good- nothing spectacular though. The waiter asked my husband if he needed steak sauce, which he answered yes, and the waiter never brought any. By the time he returned to our table, my husband had already consumed most of his steak. So no need in reminding him yet again for something else. I will say, the young man was very friendly and seemed eager, just very forgetful, which made his service suffer tremendously. He could've possibly been new and may have never served before. We were trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. While we can empathize with him and his possible situation, it still doesn't make us want to return. Between our experience and overhearing the table next to us, it was enough for us to NEVER want to come back for another chance. read more

Love this rarity of a restaurant so close to home! We read a previous review on Yelp and decided to try it. We are so glad we did! We went on a Monday night, and, it was packed with an intensely driven trivia game. The food was absolutely five star worthy - big flavor, ample portions, and superb service. We were served by one of the owners, herself, and felt well taken care of. We each ordered steak and sides - excellent cut of meat, flavor and cooked to perfection. Neither one of us ordered anything from the bar, so, I can't speak to the quality of the cocktails, but, the bar itself is well furnished and beautifully constructed. Looking for a one off spot tonight for date night. Pulled up some restaurants near me and saw some promising places. Then, I saw a picture of Scottish Eggs from One22West and the deal was sealed! Scottish Eggs are one of my favorite indulgences. The ambience is nice. There's sort of a rustic charm with a downtown feel. Edison bulbs cast the dining area in a warm glow. We were greeted and welcomed very professionally and warmly by the host. The dining area was almost full, only a few tables open. I should add that we were eating early, around 5:30, so that's a good sign. Our waitress, Victoria, was very nice and always available. She kept our drinks filled and was attentive to our needs. If you can, try the sit in her section. Although, I'm sure the other staff are great. The menu is just the right size to give you choice, but make you flip-flop back and forth between a few items, because everything sounds so good. We ordered fried pickles and Scottish Eggs for appetizers. The fried pickles. . . THE FRIED PICKLES YA'LL!!!!!! Just do it. Hands down THE BEST fried pickles I have ever had! . . And I make my own at the house! The pickles were sliced perfectly, thin enough to be crispy and thick enough to still make it all about the pickle! The breading was perfectly seasoned, light, and crisp! The Scottish Eggs were pretty good too. I highly recommend them. I ordered the Blackened Salmon Filet with Lemon Cream Sauce. Don't even ask! Just order it! Salmon was prepared perfectly with a nice blackened crust, but still flaky and wonderful. The wife had a Calzone. I had a bite and it was. . . Okay, I had 2 bites. . . And they were amazing. Definitely a solid choice. Also, the tea. Let me talk about the tea. Listen, if a place in TN can't get the tea right, there is no sense in me even eating the food. The tea here was damn near perfect. Not too sweet. The waitress apologized because we had to wait on some new tea to brew. I'm so okay with that. Great place was in town for work for the day in search of a good meal and could not have picked a better place. Had the smokehouse burger and beer battered fries which was great house made BBQ sauce awesome ask for extra on the side it's that good. Coworker had the jackalope burger which was huge and had to be held together by a steak knife when brought from the kitchen. Coworker broke out in some meat sweats by the end of the meal but raved about the burger and fries. Also had dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake which took the meal over the top. We arrived in Monday night, trivia night, while we did not participate the place filled with locals. We sat in a separate area and were attended to by one of the owners. She was extremely friendly and helpful. She discussed with us the different local whiskeys and some personal recommendations. Most of us ordered steak and they were well seasoned and drinks were good. One of the four in our party's meal was delayed however staff apologized for mishap. Stopped in for Friday night dinner. It was really busy & we were seated in about 20 minutes. Really nice and clean looking place. My wife & I both ordered burgers. The buns were pretty small for the burger but as personal preference I liked a little less bread & my wife didn't like it. Her burger bun got kinda soggy & fell apart. She liked the taste of her smokehouse burger & mushroom side. I ordered just a regular burger with pepper jack cheese & onion rings. The burger was ok & the onion rings were good. I'm no cook but the burger seemed like it could use more seasoning. Now as for service that's where it was disappointing. It took a long time to get our food & we only saw our server 3 times all night. A lady that I assume was the owner checked up on us once right as our food arrived. I also thought the prices were a little high for what we got. Neighboring tables got things like lasagna & pizza that looked good & were large portions. So overall will we return here? Probably not but it wasn't horrible so you might want to try it. If it's busy you might want to keep driving. read more

First time at One22West. My wife and I went after normal lunch hours, so the place was quiet. My guess is it's a hopping place during the dinner hour. The music was at a proper volume, and I like that because I go to eat with others and much prefer not yelling at one another as some restaurants seem to want everyone to do. The staff was friendly and helpful. Recommendations were excellent for this first-timer. The Reuben I had ordered and the burger my wife asked for came out great. Says a lot about the staff in the back. Attention to detail. We left feeling like this was a place we would want to take visitors to Tullahoma. And so, we'll be back. Bottom line, great food, great atmosphere. A combination that will keep us going back! read more
