Rye of the tiger
Rich J.

Placed our order, found a table and waited for the "beeper" to go off telling us to come and get our food. The wait for a couple of sandwiches and a shareable was a little lengthy. I'm not much on micro breweries, but I enjoyed their pale ale. The place is quite comfortable and has a unique decor. We were finally able to get our food after about 25 minutes. I had Rye of the tiger, wife had In da club along with a cheese and pita medley. I must say after reading the previous reviews and waiting almost half hour, the food was just average. May or may not be back.

This is Noah's favorite place!l, so we had to check it out! Common John is a great place to hang out with your friends! They have delicious beer and food. We loved the Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza! You can never go wrong with cheesy bread! Great people and great service. Looking forward to going back on a nice day to enjoy the outdoor area!

What an amazing find while driving back from Florida to Missouri. Feels like a family business. So rare today. If we had a place like this locally, I'd be there every week. It doesn't feel like "we're trying to make money here." It feels like "we created a space and some crafted beer and food we'd like to share because we like making people happy." Yeah, I said it. Let that sink in. Tell me about another place in 2025 that leaves you with that feeling when you get to your car to leave (reluctantly).

We were in the area for a concert at The Caverns and wanted to grab a beer and some food. A google search led us to Common John's and I'm so glad it did! We ordered several types of beers, all of which we liked. They have a nice variety of styles that they brew as well as a few guest taps. You can order food at the counter and we went with the BBQ Chicken Flatbread and I added pineapple (my favorite pizza topping, don't judge me). The flatbread was nice and crispy but thick enough to hold the good amount of cheese and toppings. My husband ordered the Reuben as well as their wings. The bartender suggested he order the wings extra crispy with the sauce on the side - a recommendation that paid off since the wings stayed crispy and were cooked perfectly. The kettle chips that came with the Reuben were surprisingly delicious (usually I'm all about fries) and well seasoned. We also split a soft pretzel which was a great snack. I would definitely recommend the beer cheese which was creamy, mild, and had a nice light beer flavor. They have a lovely patio area and a rather large outdoor space they use to host music and food events. If and when we're in the area again, we will definitely be back! Dog friendly and kid friendly! (Honorable mention: the bathrooms were very nicely decorated and clean - which I always appreciate).

Get the Caribbean jerk wings and the straight and narrow beer! The atmosphere is a local community hang out with tons of outdoor space and different spaces to sit inside depending on your group and mood. Amazing beer and food. We love the wings and pizzas but everything on the menu is great. Always super friendly workers.

We were staying down the street from our air b&b when we were in town. We were shocked at how large it was!! They have a ginormous super nice patio with tons of seating. The inside is also large with a bar area and a more dining type area. They also offer food but we didn't have any on this visit. We ordered a couple of flights so that we could try everything. The beers were better than expected...I'm a beer snob so I was honestly pleasantly surprised. My favorite was a banana passionfruit gose called Currruba! Go have a beer and check out the patio if you're in the area!

Great establishment with a wonderful selection. I did not have the food but it looked delicious coming out of the kitchen. The staff was very hospitable and quick with service. Highly recommend making a stop in!

Love it! Great outdoor area. The dog loved it! The beer is awesome, with a ton of selections to choose from - both in house and guest brews. The service was spot on. Couldn't have been better!

My 2nd time here. A fantastic place with friendly people who make you feel appreciated for being there. Ambiance is awesome. Everyone is helpful, there's both indoor and outdoor seating, with Bingo going tonight. Ordered a Rueben....amazing! Their Porter and Stout are both phenomenal! I will be back.

Love these guys! I live close, but not close enough to come by as often as I wish I could. They have a rotating list of mostly great beers & several fellow Tennessee brewery options. I only say mostly, because everyone has their own taste in beers & they cover all the bases here. In true microbrewery fashion there's usually one or two that are new when I come by every couple months. They also have a limited, but very tasty menu. As far as ambiance, they have that NAILED! They have indoor & outdoor seating. Indoor & outdoor stages & are (outdoor) dog friendly. Most of the music is free & they have all kinds of community events. Super friendly! My favorite microbrewery in Tennessee

Great beer and fun place to hang out. We happened to be in town and stopped in and were pleasantly surprised by what a awesome vibe they have going on! There was live music and the weather was nice so we grabbed food and enjoyed their outdoor area. Will definitely be back!

We came across this place while searching for a dinner joint. Parking is big and won't have an issue finding a spot. The way it works is you order them sit and they bring the grub to you. They got great pizza on flatbread and others ways like pretzels and wings . They also brew their own beer . And have a wide variety as well. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was festive . Food was awesome and now living in the area , we're going back again .

Yours truly & his Guinness girl

What a great place to find off the interstate. Wings, kettle chips, Reuben - excellent. The craft beers were an added bonus.

I was a little hesitant since we were in a new town and everything was packed, but this place totally delivered. The omelet was fluffy and packed with flavor, and the French toast... well, I wasn't expecting it to be deep fried but holy cow it worked. Crispy on the outside, soft and sweet inside, and absolutely addictive. The service was quick and friendly even with the festival crowds, and the vibe inside is fun and casual exactly what you want for breakfast. Portions are generous too, so we left stuffed and happy. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. We even walked over to the Lodge Museum afterward and made a whole morning out of it.

We were visiting Chattanooga and thought it would be fun to check out the Lodge Cast Iron Museum,…read moreso naturally we ate at Big Bad Breakfast while there. It was a random weekday morning, so it was really quiet. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. It's a casual place, with lots of tv's. I had a hard time choosing between the Yard Work Skillet and the Cornbread Omelet, but I figured where else would I find a cornbread omelet? It was SO yummy. I got the bacon on the side because I don't eat it, but there was a lovely amount of veggies and just the right amount of cheese. The cornbread eggs had such an interesting flavor. I got the cheese grits on the side which were a little spicy and deliciously creamy. My gf got a breakfast plate and thought it was good. The crispy hash cake was ok but a little dense. I ended up eating her biscuit the next day and it was really good.

We also hired Jay as our mixologist. The folks loved ordering from him. Our 2 servers made sure everyone was served and cleaned up throughout the evening. Once all of our guests had gone home and the CRAVE crew was going, I simply washed my crockpot out from my dish and you would never have know 50 people were in our home. I would 100% use CRAVE again. Sam, our coordinator, really helped us drill the menu options down and I could not have asked for a more perfect night.

The service from Kayla Pearson and her other female counterpart, was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. They were rude with 2 of my sisters as well as one of my guests, who was scolded for taking too much chicken. The servers couldn't be bothered to clear about 1/2 of our guests' plates. They were compostable bamboo, so all they had to do was clear and toss. But, they did not. We had agreed that CRAVE would bring some whimsical birdcages and stuff like that to decorate with. That did not happen. Then the two severs who were on staff asked to leave two hours before the agreed upon time, after already half-assing their jobs. They complained about putting SIX bottles of sparkling wine in ice for us and did not help with cake service as was agreed upon. As I said, the bartender was literally the best part of the entire CRAVE experience. I worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, so I know it can be the pits, but this had to be one of the easiest catering gigs and the two servers assigned to our wedding, as well as CRAVE catering really dropped the ball. Instead of alleviating the pressure and stress of one of the busiest (and best) days of my life, they added to it. I work too hard to let this slide. I would recommend Jay as a bartender anytime. I cannot say the same for any other part of the CRAVE team.
