Two times she tried buying Domin#es Pizza with her Kedpoints. The email code never went to her email. I seen it in person. I watched how she did it. Everything she did was correct. She tried contacting the center and no would help. That's not good. Secondly, their A/C system is messed up. So they brought in portable A/C units. And after having around 40 to 50 donors enter the building waiting around for hours, told them to leave. Some of us have to ride 6 to 8 hours of public buses to get there. Again, 95% of the staff are great (I know most of them pretty well, they are awesome!) but the few staff members that are indecisive was what caused the problems. Everyone makes mistakes but don't make donors pay out of their pockets with all their time, gas money, time off work, public transportation, missing appointments and other engagements they could have been doing. They make a lot of money from plasma. If they can correct these things then I will upgrade to a 5 star! Why? Other than a couple issues they would be a premium place to go and definitely recommend after they fix these issues.

To make matters worse, they left a needle in my arm for far too long after the power went out, which is absolutely ridiculous. That should never happen, and it could have caused serious complications. The entire experience has been unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm hoping I finally receive my funds today, but at this point I wouldn't be surprised if I have to wait another day. Trust me--I won't be coming back.

The three staff members that took care of me on my new donor visit were outstanding. Miss Gwen did my intake assessment and she was precisely by the book. As a career oncology nurse, I know that processes and standards are there to ensure safety, and I was so relieved with her attention to her facility's standards. Miss Nakina did my physical assessment, and again I saw that commitment to precision and safety. My technician who did the actual procedure was Miss Letti, and she must have used a magic needle because I didn't feel a thing! I felt so safe there. The debit card is a safe way to receive payment, and I strongly suggest reading the paperwork/schedule of fees that comes with it so you don't spend money on fees you don't have to! First time I have ever in Florida…read more I just want to say that everyone should donate blood, you're not only doing something to save a person's life but you get treated like a princess (or prince) when you are doing it. They give you soda and snacks, free t-shirt and whatever else they have free available at the time. I received a free ticket to the strawberry festival. The person who drew my blood was absolutely amazing older woman. We ended up talking about prostitutes in Portland, OR at one point. Great conversation by the way! After giving blood I started to feel light headed and getting a cold sweat, nearly blacked out. (It tends to happen with me because the blood takes FOREVER to get out of me and especially when I haven't donated in awhile, so it probably wont happen to you). Once they noticed it, they were right on top of it with a wet cloth on my forehead and neck. They brought down my chair so I was lying down and held the sprite for me to drink it and got me a rice crispies treat until it went away. This was the best place to give blood I have been to so far! Got to spin for prizes on your second donation of the week and the amount reimbursed went up over time. Several months ago they were taken over by grifoils and it's gone down hill ever since this happened and they have reduced the reimbursement from $150 weekly with 2 donations in one week. It went down to $135 weekly and now again to $90 weekly. There must be some type of mismanagement going on They are almost ALWAYS short staffed I have been here when there only one phlebotomist for an entire room full of patients. The people who do the intake and phlebotomists are but I really great but i get the impression they are not treated well. The management seems seem to interested in laughing and joking amongst themselves rather then see what they can do to help their overworked staff. I used to tell everyone what a great place it was and recommended it to MULTIPLE people. One coworker actually did start right when grifoils took over. I feel really bad that I did now especially how I raved about how great it was. I won't recommend it to anyone else because it's hardly worth it anymore. So dissatisfied and disappointed with this new company. If you are thinking about donating I wouldn't bother. They don't appreciate their staff and and CERTAINLY not their donors.
