Many phone calls were made to look for repairs. Due to the holiday weekend there were no available technicians until after the holiday (3 full days)....Until I got ahold of Jim.... He was very honest about not being a diesel tech but would be happy to look at boat. Jim came out ON the Fourth July to diagnose the issue. He was able to identify the issue and with the help of a diesel expert they were confident they could perform the repair. Jim moved the boat (on one engine) down from Frankfort to his Marina in Arcadia and tied it up in is ONLY hoist well. Jim and his team (Peter and Art) worked on the boat tirelessly....14+ hours a day. He kept me in the loop during the whole project. The boat was ready two days after the 4th. My wife and finished up our boat trip back to Grand Haven with a perfectly running boat. Jim's team took pride in all aspects of their work, not only the actual repair but they kept our boat protected and clean through this extremely messy repair.....lots of oil and engine coolant involved. As a first timer, I was enamored with the magnitude of available charters and was nervous about picking the right one! Thankfully we received glowing recommendations for Real Teaser and I now know why. Captain Mitch and First Mate Dave worked incredibly hard to ensure we had the best outing. Within minutes of leaving the dock, five salmon took the bait and the boat swung in to action. Reeling in my first fish was exciting and way more difficult than I had anticipated! Thankfully, Dave was in the trenches showing me how to wear the feisty fish out and properly reel him in! It was an adrenaline rush catching one after the other! Reel Teaser worked hard to ensure we caught what we could, constantly switching out bait, traveling to different depths at various speeds. We had a great time and the 16 Salmon were just a sprinkle on the Sundae! I am already planning another trip with them in August! We were told to be at the landing at 10:30 for an 11 o'clock reservation. We were greeted with a man very irritated with us dropping off our coolers and bags. Apparently we were supposed to walk everything down from the parking lot. Not a problem but we were not told and there wasn't a sign. We didn't need to start our day with attitude but no big deal. The boat shows up at 11:10. We now have been waiting for 40 minutes. Kind of irritating but we are looking forward to a good day, so again, we shake it off. We take the boat out and it immediately stalls. We can not go faster than a very slow speed. We tried calling for about a half hour with no answer. We finally get someone and they say the fix to this problem, is to go sit at the sand bar for half an hour. Didn't send anyone out, they just want us to go sit. After sitting for about 1-5 to 2 hours, trying to make the best of the situation, we tried it again and it's still stalling. After calling them back again, they were angry with US. We are now arguing with them by phone and text in the middle of the lake on our fun day out. They have no solution and the only thing they offered was to take $100 off of our rental. We couldn't use the boat or the tubes and paid $600 for the day. The last thing they said, as you can see from the picture of the text, is that we need to still pay for the gas and "congratulations" on making them give us money back. They couldn't have been more petty at this point. We would have been more upset with the absurdity of them asking that, but we didn't use any gas because THE BOAT DIDN'T WORK. They ended up refunding us $225 after all that. We still paid too much but it's not worth the fight. Sometimes things happen that are unfortunate, but to be treated so terribly the entire time was just not right. To get nasty with us and not even come out to see if they could fix the boat, was unprofessional. The text message was rude and uncalled for. I would not recommend this company and certainly would never use them again.

They provide life jackets, paddles, canoes, kayaks, tubes, and multiple different sizes of rafts, along with a map of where to go and finish and a driver to pick you up after your trip. The ride itself was very relaxing, there wasn't a person on the river while I was rafting. The wildlife and nature was beautiful, herons, geese, ducks, and turtles. The price was very reasonable, $120 for a 4 person raft for 3hrs, with a driver included to pick you and the raft up. I will definitely be back to go rafting again, it's a great option for those who don't like to get wet in the river, or for chillier days!
