I live directly across the street from a home being built by OneTenTen. I work from home and the workers (mostly Mexicans/Latinos framing the home and roofing) play music all day long. I stopped over and asked them to reduce the noise and they complied right away. Problem solved right? Yes, until the next day when the same guys played the same music again. So, I called OneTenTen and they assured me the problem would be solved. The next day? You guessed it. Same thing. I guess these can't work unless the music is on all day long. So I had no choice but to call Shakopee Police and will see what they do about it. Shame on OneTenTen for permitting their workers to annoy neighbors during the building process. I will NEVER consider a OneTenTen home and will tell everyone I can about my experience, and their inability or unwillingness to be respectful in the neighborhoods where they build. And last but not least, I saw one of the workers bring two 12-packs of beer into the unfinished home (around 4:35pm on April 10, 2026). Must be nice to work for OneTenTen where you can annoy the neighbors AND drink on the job. UPDATE: Communicated with a OneTenTen representative who stated "there is nothing wrong with guys having a beer after work. People do it all the time." I guess OneTenTen doesn't care if their workers drink at the homes they are building. The same representative says "it's not against a law to play music on the job site." STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUILDER. Brandl Anderson and Keyland Homes are MUCH better options. read more

We met Jon Sinnen at the Shakopee location of new builds and he was a true gem. He cared for us as people and was there for us before, during, and after the house became our home. We have had a really rough experience with this builder. It started out when we toured the model home in Prior Lake. We loved the home and had been looking for a long time. The buyers agent told us she would follow up with pricing and get back to us in a few days. She never followed up or sent us anything. I am in sales and this is a pretty big thing when a lead walks into your door, you do not have to go find it, wants to buy from you and you do not follow up. So we moved on. We found the same builder in another neighborhood and a new agent. He was really nice and took us to visit a few model homes and had great follow up. But when it came time for our budget, he basically sent us a confusing pricing sheet and asked us to configure it ourselves and then told us the cheapest home was $150K over our budget. We couldn't afford that so we moved on. We ended up going back to the original neighborhood because we really liked that model and wanted to look at it again. The buyers agent apologized for not following up and put together a fantastic plan with us that worked with our budget. We met with her twice and we located the lot we wanted ourselves. The second time we met with her she was an hour late. When it came time to put together a purchase agreement I told her I wanted to have our own realtor so we had representation. She said we would have to have had that realtor at the original meeting or we had to pay them ourselves. She promised us, if we moved forward without a realtor she would look out for us and take good care of us so we proceeded to move forward. After we signed the purchase agreement, we found out that we did not understand it (yes, this was our fault but in our defense we are not realtors). They changed the terms of the down payment and raised the amount from $50,000.00 to $75,000.00, which is a really big change. Obviously, we were not happy with this and shared this with her. I was mostly unhappy that it wasn't communicated to us, but she was on her 2nd vacation in 2 weeks so I figured she was just busy and tried to give her the benefit of the doubt (again). We were angry but we were not disrespectful. She told us we should just cancel the agreement. I really did want to give this company the benefit of the doubt so I contacted the Sales Manager, Tad. I called him 3 times and he did not return my call, said he "didn't get my messages." I finally reached him and he assured me that they wanted us as a customer and explained the process more thoroughly and we felt better about things. I did not throw the buyers agent under the bus as that was not the point of the conversation. It was a good call but he did seem annoyed he had to talk to me at all. Then, we reached back out to the buyers agent after she got back from vacation and she scheduled a call. She was late for the call and got on the phone and told me that she did not want to work with us and they were not the right builder for us which was really disappointing on so many levels. I actually was rude this time because I was so flabbergasted that I hung up. I called, texted and emailed Tad asking what happened and he did not even respond. Overall, this company does not value paying customers and has terrible sales management. We were buying a house worth over 3/4 of a million dollars and the way we were treated was pretty bad. If you do move forward with them make sure you have a realtor with you from the get go. Make sure you get everything in writing. Make sure you know that if something goes wrong you are not allowed to say anything about it. Be very careful of the bait and switch. Come with a plethora of patience and know that you will likely be treated like an afterthought. I think builders have been enjoying the real estate boom for a really long time and have forgotten that customer service matters. I deal with difficult customers every day and do not believe we were being difficult, but even if we were this was handled extremely unprofessionally. For the record, this is the 3rd house I have built and the other experiences were really fun and we were treated really well all throughout the process. Good luck. Update: Tad finally called me back, shortly after I posted this review and basically just said a bunch of fluff words. Just be very careful here and make sure you have a realtor at the first meeting. Update: We have met with 3 more builders in the last several days and our experience has been night and day different. There are builders out there that actually want our business and don't mind answering our questions and walking us through the process. They have handouts of their floorplans and clear and understandable pricing. They are professional and helpful and available. We have already selected a new lot and a new builder and will be building with Robert Thomas Homes. read more

We are excited to have ONETENTEN build our home. We tried multiple builders and asked THEM to custom design our home the way we wanted it, but the ONLY AND ONLY company that was willing to go beyond our expectations was ONETENTEN. We worked mainly with JOE who tirelessly helped us and was available to answer our questions. He was exceptionally helpful and available to us anytime we needed him. We recommended our relatives who were also very happy to build their home with ONETETEN. I would not hesitate to recommend ONETENTEN to anyone who wants to build a custom design house. read more

Never have I ever worked with a worse sales representative. Having worked in real estate myself, I would never, ever be as fully non-responsive as their Sales Representative, Tad Anderson is. He has the most unprofessional manner in responding to only half my questions in an email 7 days later and making this a habit. Things seemed a little slow at first and I initially was not impressed with the build progress. However, since the framing has been completed things seem to be moving much faster. The job supervisor has done a great job at keeping us updated and moving things along. Our salesperson has done a fantastic job. read more

After our initial meeting of Liz at the model home. We went back the same day to talk about options for plan adjustments. She was super helpful and said we could do everything we were looking for to make this our dream home. After we signed a purchase agreement thing went south. We had to provide selections 2 or 3 times because she couldn't find the info and then when it came time for the plans review it got ugly. After we were promised a bathroom modification could happen, we were told it couldn't because of a city code they had to follow. But when I found out there was NO such code, I was told, "the builder simply won't build the bathroom the way you want." They proceeded to draft up a floorplan that I had already told them isn't going to work. We signed the cancellation agreement and were charge for drafting services that were a complete waste of our money and time. We were warned about this builder, but after our initial meeting seemed to go so well, we thought maybe things had changed and were better now. NOPE, boy were we wrong and lost money in the process.
