In addition, he communicated with the condo association and provided all required documents for set up the HOA payments on time. Moreover, he suggested to do the Mobile closing ( the notary came to my home for signing the closing paper in the closing date) which saved my time and $$$ money because I did not need to fly to Minnesota just for the closing. Mr.Mark Gettinger has provided an outstanding customer service. He commutated with my Closing company and Lender directly when I needed the information's clarification ( especially, the specific legal terminology). Furthermore, all the paper work and earning money sending were done electronically-it was so easy and accurate as well as saving a lot of my time and energy in this busy life. In Sum, the closing was done on time, and my Lender told me that they were impressed how Mr. Mark Gettinger was able to manage very professionally the condo purchase ( which is required more knowledge and documentation than purchasing a single home) and also for a Buyer who is living in the different state. LionRock Properties did a…read moregood job managing our rental house during most of the lease, but if you plan to have them manage your property until you SELL it, be aware that they may not return your property in the same condition you turned it over to them. We hired them to manage a nice house in Maple Grove and we turned it over in beautiful condition but the final tenants left it dirty with trash and personal items left behind. LionRock insisted that their responsibilities were done when the final tenants moved out. They kept insisting that when the owner intends to sell, they "don't do a normal turnover process." We couldn't find anywhere in their documents any explanation of what that "not normal" turnover process was supposed to be. For 24 days into the next month we insisted that we just wanted them to do a walk-through, manage the damage deposit charges, and then take care of cleaning and trash disposal so that we would get it back in the same condition we turned it over to them. We did not want them to help renovate the house or stage it for sale or anything unreasonable. Just give it back to us clean! Their move-out packet instructs tenants to leave it that way, so we had high expectations that if tenants failed to do so, LionRock would see that it happened. It took 3 weeks of email exchanges to make it happen and only then did they tally the charges to the tenants, disburse the security deposit accordingly and then arrange a cleaning service and trash disposal and we got the house back in "move-in" condition. Now why was that so hard?

And then they blame the random dude they hired for minimum wage for the resulting problems, rather than owning up to the fact that they're desperately trying not to spend any money on the apartments they purchase/manage. Do not invest in this company. Do not rent from this company unless you enjoy going without utilities, because they'll hire a hobo off the street rather than paying a company to fix it, and it'll be broken longer because of it. They also took months to fix a broken exterior building door that wasn't locking, which resulted in crackheads pissing in the lobby and shooting drugs in the stairwell. Fun times. Also, it's pretty telling that the only positive review they have on this website is from a former employee. Of course they like the company, they got paid to do literally nothing for a while by them. In a non-corrupt country this company wouldn't be allowed to operate.

They just all seem to lack compassion, pride, and service. All they ever really cared about was collecting money and avoiding repair and maintenance calls or emails till they couldn't dodge the issue. Last year when I was relocating from Los Angeles to Minneapolis I only had two days to find an apartment. I was being rejected from all of them because I didn't have a 730 credit score due to some student loans and medical bills. When I was about to give up and go back to Cali I got a call from Tom Stutsman wondering if I was still looking for an apartment? I told him "yes!I was", but I told him my credit is a work in progress and not high... He said let me guess "Student Loans and Medical Bills"?I said "Yes"! and he told me he didn't care about that stuff and as long as I'm a nice person that's all he looks for... next day I looked at the apartment. I ended up dropping the deposit the next day and had the lease signed before I Flew back to Los Angeles. It all happened so fast and easy. Tom even had the lights turned on for me in my name when I arrived. Any time I had a repair issue, even emailing him late at night they would be taking care of it first thing in the morning. Tom's work ethic is unprecedented and within minutes of talking to him you can tell he radiates a passion for what he does. If I'm ever back in Minneapolis the only person I will call is Tom Strutsman. Thanks Tom for all that you do!

He had excellent timing when it came to our requests for repairs, his open communication was very helpful when we needed his assistance for anything or had questions, and he upheld a high integrity when it came to the lease. He is a very humble businessman and runs his properties with strong responsibility. His maintainence vendors were very respectful of our home and willing to work out time slots for repairs in a timely manner. Our property was kept up to date with maintenance repairs (yearly) and state codes. His empathy was clearly shown during our time of financial stress, when he sent a list of community resources and county assistance programs, plus tips on how to file, to help us out. When our German Shepherd passed away, he sent out a sympathy email and gave the ok to get another dog when we were ready with no additional deposit. We truly cannot thank Nick enough for all of his help and his generosity. This rental property was not a regular rental property; it was our home. Okay, enough with the advertisements.. or else you will have to pay me, Baker Management! On my hunt for the perfect boyfriend, uh, I mean, brownstone with built-in cabinets, wooden floors, octogan-tiled bathroom, and a sink NOT from the 1920s (those are the one-tub, hanging sinks with no counter space), I finally came across my apartment building. But this love story was no easy battle.... I scoured on-line dating sites (ala Craigslist) for hours and decided to get all of my apartment dates done in two days. Yes, that's right. Two days. And twenty-two, three, six apartments later, I had an older, uber nice gentleman by the name of Paul showing me a Baker property apartment. I was completely in L-O-V-E. I mean, I had been through A LOT the last couple of days: 1) I met a lot of men, uh, apartments, that were incredibly small. I literally had to shimmy in between the sink and the stove. So, yes, size dooooes matter. 2) Some of the places had odd layouts. The fridge in the foyer, the stove in the closet, and "oh? you want to put a queen-sized bed here? Yeah, only if you angle it at 83.5 degrees and lean it against the wall." Please, don't be weird. 3) I understand you're only a block from Hennepin, but hrello?! I still have to park eight blocks away, so why don't I just find an apartment eight blocks away? So, yeah, you may look good on the outside and may be popular, but I still gotta work my tush off to get to you - not gonna happen. 4) I walked in to a half-naked girl with head phones on who forgot her apartment was up for show! Okay, whenever there's another girl... and she's half naked, that's an auto "it's over." 5) When I saw the Baker apartment, my heart started fluttering. I saw pictures of our future together. I saw myself building a life with this apartment. I just knew... it was "the one." The next day, I dropped off my application and payment forms. Two days later, I was ready to move in! Everything was just happening so fast. Everything with Baker has been incredible. And ever since my first day as a resident, they have helped me with countless, ditzy things: 1) I couldn't get my stove to fire up. Yes, Nadine, plug it in. 2) My faucet kept leaking under the sink. Yes, Nadine, tighten it up. 3) My door key went missing. Yes, Nadine, changed locks coming right up (and this was at 730 in the morning). They have a five or six properties around the Uptown area with tons of residents. But everytime I've called, they've known exactly which apartment I live in. Creepy? Nah, just nice to know that they actually know their residents. Bottom line, I am in love. Love. Love. Love. Yeah, it's a block up Lake Street. But heck, at least I know there are cops around my hood... like all. the. time.

Super friendly and responsive management. They were always so respectful of my pets as well. I particularly enjoyed interacting with Troy and his son and they always stopped to chat with me and catch up - really the nicest people I've ever dealt with through an apartment rental. I no longer rent from them only because I moved out of state. You can trust these folks will treat you with respect and transparency and address any issues you have ASAP!
