Onga has surpassed my expectations. I called and got estimates from others and Onga came in at the same price or better. I was really surprised I could have gotten these guys to work at my home given the photo's on the website. In the end they do amazing work and they hit hight marks in every category. When working through the process they were very knowledgeable and helpful with making layout and design decisions (for no charge!). I am reposting this message (which I did in April) because it seems to have dropped off Yelp. The work is so good it deserves another posting... The best tile guy in the City! Jeremy and his helper redid my bathroom last in March 2009. His work could not have been better. I tore out a bathtub and he replaced it with a shower. This meant changing the floor as well as the tile. All of the work was top notch and his dedication to doing a perfect job shows. I dont know why Onga doesnt have more reviews! We interviewed several different tile setters and made a great decision using Jeremy and his crew. We had him do two of our bathrooms and they came out beautiful. They did everything from waterproofing, heating the tile, and all the final work to ensure its beautiful. They plan very well before they start the job making sure you bought enough material and that the design you want will work with that. They make great suggestions as to how to lay it out so that the final product comes out as beautiful as you imagined (because it doesnt always end up that way). The crew also took alot of precaution so that the grout work would come out great, the waterproofing would be sound and last for a long time, etc. The crew is very experienced, on-time, and always show up as promised. Jeremy is very knowledgeable about alot of different tile and tile related products so he guided us as to what common pitfalls in tile, waterproofing systems, etc. Do not hesitate to call them. Onga Stone and Tile was hired by me to redo a floor to ceiling shower and complete bathroom floor that was originally built in the 1930's. The goal was to keep the period detail in tact. They did a perfect job matching the old and the new. It difficult to even tell which is which. The new shower and the floor blend perfectly with the old tile on the walls in the rest of the bathroom. The old world craftsmanship is what I was looking for with Onga and they did not disappoint. I strongly recommend them. read more

We hired Onga Stone and Tile to do the tilework on a major house remodel: full new kitchen, master bath, and powder room. Jeremy and his crew are true craftsmen. We had a lot of beautiful hand painted tile that was hard to work with, but they got it cut and set beautifully. I particularly appreciated their skill with complex layouts. Our master bath has lots of corners and joints and is out of square. Not only did all the tile come out even and neat, they were able to make the decorative patterned tile join beautifully. Jeremy is a pleasure to work with, very knowledgable and friendly. He consulted with us during the design process making several great suggestions that allowed the tile to lay out better. The work was done carefully and correctly the first time. And he was quite cheerful in making a few small changes and additions at the last minute, he cared as much as us that the job be done right. The tile work in our house is beautiful and we couldn't be happier. Eighteen months later and we still love the work Jeremy did, the tilework is the main thing we show off to visitors. read more

Jeremy and Luis are amazing! Not only did I get calls back in a timely way our small, back-splash job was done really well and quickly. The tile was tricky and they did a great job making sure all aspects of the aesthetics were considered in the layout. I got several estimates from other companies but not only were theirs competitive or lower, Jeremy was MUCH more knowledgeable and did a far more attractive job due to his taking the time to do it the best way (not the easier way.) After our kitchen renovation we will be working on our bathrooms and we will DEFINITELY be having Onga do the work! They are as good as everyone says they are! read more

Do yourself a favor and meet with Jeremy before you start a stone or tile project. I have read all of the other glowing reviews of Jeremy and Onga Stone & Tile and agree with everyone. Jeremy and Sito are very polite, exceptional communicators, will work around your schedule (including weekends in an emergency), and they clean up every day. We did a complete gut and remodel of our only bath and Jeremy made sure it was only a matter of 10-12 hours we were without a toilet! I interviewed 6-7 other stone and tile contractors and several general contractors. After meeting with Jeremy I felt confident I could act as my own general contractor and save over $10-$15K by hiring the necessary electrical, plumbing and other professionals. Jeremy helped me avoid and correct a few mistakes other contractors made and was a total pleasure to work with. In large part, due to Jeremy being a true professional who goes the extra mile making sure you are happy, we ended up with a wonderful bathroom. We used Calcatta Michelangelo marble and Jeremy & Sito's stone work was amazing - they are true artists and masters of their trade. read more
