If you use this OnRoute, be prepared for long waits, below par food (even for fast food) and no responses to complaints.

If you drive this way often, you'll understand how boring, flat and how there isn't much scenery until you see the windmills in the Chatham area. The place is always clean, the women's washrooms are for sure always clean when I use them, and usually one side is blocked off because they are cleaning it. They also have a CTC gas bar if you need to fill up, a Market Place, to get bottles of water, or a quick snack, and this OnRoute has a Tim Horton's KFC, and A&W if you need a bite to eat. This is always an easy place to stop and take a rest if you need it whether you're traveling from near or far. Clean washrooms, clean dining area, staff always seem to be on top of everything and there's a Tim Horton's, what more could you ask for in a rest stop?

The rest area was updated with a new building a few years back, but other than that and the newer paved areas, this location continues to serve the motoring public as it has for over 3 decades that I have been stopping. Snacks and soft drinks are found in the main building, nice outdoor picnic areas to use in warmer weather. Ample car parking, limited truck parking. You can typically see the truck side filled to over 120% at night.
