People seem to just stop in shortly here, with a few people that stuck around longer to really take in the art. You walk in to the security desk and check-in with your location. They only need your zip code and you're free to check out the exhibit. There's about two museum security persons in the exhibit areas They don't really greet you, but they're there. I came in for their Chicana(o) art exhibit as well as their water exhibit. Both were good. They also had a special historical exhibit that features the history of the City of Ontario. That was an okay exhibit. Facility has some nice historical architectural feel. Kind of like some of the art deco styling in the L A. buildings. Parking lot is small, but you can also park on the street. Also just a very close walk the Ontario train station.

It is your choice on how big or small you want it and how you would like to paint it as well. Just note that you should not paint the bottom of it so when they can bake it, it will be ok. Overall the session was fun and yes your hands will be a little messy from the clay but you can wash them, inside of the studio towards the back. I came with a party of four and all of us came with something unique and different. I would do this again and can't wait for my next projects. Oh yeah, you will not get it right away you have to let it stay a few days and they will leave it outside with a locker code so you can pick it up anytime after it gets baked in the oven.

Chaffey Community Museum is currently you showing the Chicana(o) inspired artwork, specially with the Southern California murals that you see all across the region. There are many art galleries in their "village," but the Ahmad Shariff Art Gallery is, by far, the best. Ahmad features both established artists and those from the local community who hold great promise. He has an eye for talent and his prices are reasonable. There is a wonderful art museum across the street and Pomona College has their art museum just two blocks away. These three location alone are a reason to visit Claremont, but, as one will discover, there are many more.

The Chino Hills Downtown Art Gallery is a great gallery that showcases a myriad of community art from local artists of all different ages and backgrounds, with some being able to be purchased at different prices points. Art from local competitions were also showcased. Paintings, photographs, and sculptures made up the diversity of the art. On the particular day we visited, programs that supported artists that were accessibility challenged were featured and it was also a great opportunity for us to learn about these great programs. In addition, the people volunteering at this space were also incredibly friendly and informative. I highly recommend visiting AND supporting this area if you're looking for a reprieve from shopping at The Shoppes.
