Not the me IOP type of phone, but in Phoenix, Arizona you're limited to one company that does landline actual hardware landline services. However, community phone services are as close to a real deal as possible. They don't use the hard wire and they're not dependent on internet whatsoever. So there's a power outage and you don't use a cordless phone which you can use your own regular telephone, but you'll still need to plug in a phone. You can get a black box for $149 to use your own phone. A little pricey when taxes after 39.99. it was like $45 Mason Lane. They also sell SIM cards. You can get one for just phone calls on your cell phone that's unlocked. Or you can also do data since I'm very low budget right now and nobody wants to pay a fair amount for my cell phone. I kept it which I can do data but no phone calls so I thought well the same money. I can still use that SIM card. Can you not a storage and then use their SIM card for talk only unlimited which is about anywhere from 9:00 to $12 that includes taxes or if you need them on the data plan it's going to run you in the higher 20s after taxes. So between those two and Phoenix Arizona, I'm going to be spending $69 because I'm adamant about something like a landline but not willing to pay $98 since I didn't care for the landlines service. That basically is a monopoly that I define it as or you're stuck with one landline provider that I'm aware of that they watching a bundle with their internet, which from my experience is still in the dinosaur age and I already switched to Verizon thinking that they would give me a deal with just the landline. Oh no! It was $2 more. I hate this company. I would love to join a class action lawsuit against them. One person, in particular, uses this service just to harass me! He knows/uses my first name. I spoke to him once, declined to support his cause, 2nd time he called I told him not to call back again. Third time, I told him "Wrong number, Terry" doesn't have this number anymore. Since then, he calls at least twice a week just to say, "Is Terry there, is Terry there, Is Terry there." He knows we screen all calls now since the 3rd and last time I took his call. This is definitely deliberate harassment of two seniors/one is severely disabled person. He uses a different number each time, today- 743-200-1658. May he rot in hell for what he's doing!!! Envoy is a foreign entity, operating under license by the RI PUC. I keep reporting them to the RI PUC who still hasn't reached out after 3 emails! I've looked up the numbers - the names are obviously fake (google). I have a blocker but I have to report every call on my laptop so they can't call again. They are scammers/telemarketers/robos. If my PUC doesn't do something, I'm reporting them to the FTC & FCC. Another note - at one time, Global Naps was a carrier. Some of these will show up as Global Naps as their carrier. Global Naps isn't registered/licensed to operate in RI & hasn't for yrs. Onvoy is !! I'm taking an educated guess that Onvoy has taken all of Global Naps accounts. Ok...hope y'all are ready for some shit. I've been getting horrible text messages from 3 different phone numbers for the last 2 months. What better way to get someone's attention than to sabotage their relationship, right? All messages had to do with awful things my boyfriend was doing.. funny thing about all of it was that the messages were related to recent subjects he and I discussed over the phone. They were listening to all my phone conversations, even with my family. I would start to get messages about my dad and brother. The messages I received from these numbers (oh, I also received emails and some were disguised with my boyfriend's name) were so disgusting and hurtful. I can definitely see how this could lead to someone hurting themselves. These are suicide scammers/identity thieves. read more

I know many people report Scammer phone numbers to them and it does absolutely no good to do so because they profit gloriously from all the scam traffic on a network, and they refused to do nothing. I've been receiving up to 6-8 ROBOCALLS a day, all SCAMS, for several months now. I'm also reporting each and every one of them - and their provider - to the NC Attorney General's office. I check each call to determine where the caller is geographically and who their provider is and the majority of these SCAM calls have Onvoy as the provider! THEY should be charged criminally for being complicit in these scams. They know damn well what these scammers are doing. Ive been getting threatening text messages and phone calls from an Onvoy Inc, NY phone number. I know its a scam and I reported it to the FBI. To retaliate a little, I searched the web (YouTube) and found some nice text spam utilities that you can get back on them with. I literally flooded the phone number with such and ungodly amount of messages they had to block and remove my number. They may use another but am locked and loaded and ready for them. ONVOY LLC has a reputation as a VOIP robocalling center ENABLER. I received 5 calls in one minute today from 714-988-7958. This number is currently on the horse manure list of NOMOROBO and was blocked by them for me. ONVOY.COM has no place where I can file a complaint. IF I could give this company a rating it would be in the pits of hell. It doesn't do any good to contact the FCC or FTC as they are totally under funded by the feds.
