Chicken rice bowl with corn, beans and lettuce.
    Henriette K.

The chicken rice bowl, with corn, beans and lettuce was really good. $10 is definitely a lot, but I guess that's your average food truck price. The bbq sauce was my highlight though: great flavor, more sweet than spicy, and worked really well with the salad. Love it. My only complaint is: I wish they would have left the skin on the chicken. Or maybe ask - because I love rotisserie chicken with broiled skin. Maybe next time.

I got a half chicken today. These guys are very friendly, and this is some of the best chicken that I've had. It's hard to make chicken taste outstanding, but these guys get it. Think - Super Chicken but even better. The spicy mango sauce (I believe?) was outstanding and the basil coleslaw was some of the best that I've had. $11 for a half chicken is a bit pricey, but that's food trucks for you.

This is a great no frills food truck that does only thing but it does it really well. I ordered the half chicken which comes with rice and one side. The chicken is very well seasoned with traditional latin american spices and the skin is golden crispy goodness. The white meat was moist and tender and the dark meat not overcooked. The basil garlic cole slaw is refreshing and light. If you are a peruvian style chicken fan then dont pass by this truck without stopping.

Dope chicken. Even doper service. I will find this truck wherever it goes! Get the chicken rice bowl with everything on it!

Wanted something different for lunch and we don't have too many option down here in the Washington SE area. So I saw OohdatChicken food truck and saw some good options. I tried the chicken rice bowl.....First bite..Great!! The chickpeas, cilantro jalapeño sauce is great not too spicy but goes with the flavors of the pico de gallo.. rice is cooked well and the most important part THE Chicken!!! Still moist and flavored.. I will eat again

Awesome food. Rotisserie chicken flavored beautifully. Made fresh on the spot daily. The sides are wonderful. And reasonable prices.

Their rotisserie is so tender and well seasoned. I like the sauce that comes with the chicken. The food truck workers are very friendly.

Just outside the L'Enfant Plaza Metro stop (on the Maryland Ave side), you'll know you're in the right place by the crowds of Federal office workers queuing up for their favorite truck. There's a great variety from southern soul food to barbeque, from pho and banh-mi to Indonesion, from Philly cheese steaks to gyros. My daughters each had beef pho from the Pho-Nation and Vietnamese Food trucks (piping hot flavorful broth, plenty of noodles, slices of tender beef, cilantro, and accompanied with hot sauce and lime wedges on the side); my wife had the falafel salad from the Quick Bites truck which was outstandingly tasty and light, made with a chickpea and fava bean combination with a herb blend that gave them a unique green color on the inside; while I had the gyro platter from the same truck. Excellent lamb meat, well-seasoned, good tzatziki sauce, and accompanied by a fresh salad and stewed chickpeas. About $9 each for these meals and the trucks take credit cards. Don't settle for the tourist trap food trucks lined up near the Smithsonian museums -- these are terrible with microwaved pizza slices and hot dogs only ... make the short walk to these real food trucks and you won't be disappointed.

There it was. Big, green and ugly. The Halal Grill food truck. We got in line and all of a sudden this older gent with glasses comes up to me as he was passing by and says "Hi sir, how are you?" "Fine, except for this tarzan heat". He says "you like Pakistani food?" , I reply "sure, like I like my Pakistani women, scrumptuous and SPICY!" Then I realized he was the owner or something when he offered to let me taste the food before I chose wisely. They offered chicken and lamb chunks on flavorful basmatti rice or a pita. Side salad included, and everything topped with a yogurt and or spicy red sauce. I decided to go with the chicken bites and both sauces. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, but it was good. It actually had a nice even flavor. The people in the truck were really friendly too. So for the overall experience I'm giving them 4 stars. Be sure to check them out yourself.
