Booked a cut and color on a whim ... I never do that and am picky about who does my hair, but the results I was so pleased with! The salon is cute, clean, and carries Unite products - my fave. Anna took the time to listen to what I wanted, look at my inspo pics, compare them to her work and clarify to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. In my life I have finally found the perfect salon and stylist. Each stylist here is well educated in cutting, color, and healthy hair products. I have worked in the beauty business as a salon consultant for many years working with some of your top salons. I have been on the hunt trying to find a stylist who was very educated in hair color especially blondes. And my hunt was over when I found Katie. Opal salon uses and sells products that not only will take your hair from dull and damaged but to HEALTHY! Katie is very knowledgeable about hair especially when it came to doing my cut and color. I haven't done my hair in months so the color was faded and the cut was outgrown. I wanted something different and she was able to help me accomplish what I needed with what I had. I couldn't cut my hair completely to where I wanted it but she was definitely able to get it trimmed up and balanced once again. Bonus: She didn't complain about having to cut my bangs like some previous stylists did since they had issues with getting it to lay the way I wanted it to lay. I loved that she didnt make me feel like I was inconveniencing her with cutting my bangs. She's very sweet and kind. So if you are like me and struggle with describing what you need then you need to see her. She is patient and will tell you what she can do for you instead of forcing something (cut/color) that won't leave you satisfied in the long run. I will never go anywhere else. I have extremely damaged hair with so much breakage for over ten years that i gave up. I thought the top half of my head just refused to grow. katie knows her business, knew what causes it and knows how to fix it. Stylists in the past would look at my hair in distress as they call others to come look with loss of words but not Katie. She made me a plan to get it healthy again and somehow made it look gorgeous today even though the hair on top of my head is not even half my hair length. My hair didn't turn out good..though my hair has been bleach before, I would of thought 15+ experience the lady said she had that my hair would had a better outcome than this. My family member told me I did a better job doing my own hair than this. Kinda sucks because I spent about $300. I called 3-4 times days before my appointment to confirm the time but someone always picked up the phone then hung up. I was on time but before I thought I wrote the wrong time down. I have been with Jesse for a few years now, following her to her new salon was a breath of fresh air! There seems to be more room in there and it felt more inspiring to see her so happy! This place rocks! If you need a change from your salon give these girls a call. This lady is a literal angel I was so stressed out because I went to Malva house where I was recommended a hairstylist for NBR and they put terrible heavy wefts in my hair that were pulling my hair. Katie was recommended to me by a good friend who always gets her hair colored. I am a total noob to coloring my hair, plus I'm pregnant but Katie was super patient with me and answered all of my questions. She got my color perfectly and I felt super safe doing it. My cut was even the best I've ever had. I usually always have to "fix" my bangs after a professional cut but Katie gets it right every time. I've since returned to go lighter and my color is perfect again! Plus my cut from before has grown out so well, she barely had to do anything since I'm trying to grow it out.
