Parking is on the street, which turned out to be no problem, as there always were plenty of spaces near the entry sidewalk. Perhaps it's helpful to say that the Stone Chalet campus is the site of a former Unitarian church. That's how I remember it, driving/jogging by during student years. Therese remembers it was the site of piano recitals. Anyway, the former "main building" has been converted to an event center (we didn't spend much time there) and the former parsonage converted to guest quarters. Our room was Alice-in-Wonderland themed, spacious and cozy for an autumn visit. Breakfast was ordered via an app, with many choices, including gluten-free options for Therese. If you want a good and even inspiring conversation, seek out the owner Vincent, who can share some fascinating stories about real estate and his efforts to purchase, maintain, and make profitable the Stone Chalet property. Little touches like having your lobster cracked table side makes this a very pleasurable experience.

(Not the whole brood) if you read my previous review, the following may make more sense. Smaller tables (including us) are sat in the dining room that features a beautiful large bar in the center. The bar seats many and is elevated from the dining room. The dining room has high windows that overlook the golf course, with a fireplace and is so much quieter. When passing through the buffet/large party room, to our table, it was a madhouse. Large tables, large families and lines of people at the food stations. The brunch at Polo Fields is popular. The food is excellent. The service was a marked improvement this visit. We saw the same waitress throughout our visit. Water and coffee was filled by an assistant that was on top of the refills in the room. We also enjoyed the drink specials available. Crepes, smoke salmon, salads, prime rib and ham, but don't forget the wall of desserts! This visit, there were always plates to be had and hot coffee in our cups. It was excellent food and a wonderful brunch experience. Our meal was comp but we paid for the drinks and my husband tipped her generously (~$40) as we would have if charged. We were lucky enough to have our wedding on a gorgeous day in June at the prairie barn, and we were completely spoiled with the attentiveness of the bartending, groundskeeping, and planning team. Guests absolutely loved our venue -- from the air-conditioned barn, stunning tent and table rentals, cocktail hour patio, fire pits,and luscious lawn that we got married on in front of a big oak tree! We had the property completely to ourselves from Friday-Sunday to set up, party, and clean up, which was an added bonus and stress-saver. I would recommend this venue to anybody looking to get married in a modern barn or farm venue. Since then, RHF has opened up the Nest, their kitchen & bar, which we also have loved frequently this past season!

At my table we had the short rib hash, the boursin cheese egg sandwich, the salmon egg scramble & the sausage, egg and pimento sandwich. Everything was excellent. The hash had amazing roasted potatoes, a nice amount of meat and two beautiful fried eggs on top. Actually, all the dishes came with a side of roasted potatoes that were wonderful. One of the things that I think would really elevate this restaurant is if their orange juice was fresh squeezed. However, it was quite good. We will be coming back soon to try the Italian grinder and the Nutella French toast. We are told that there is music on some nights and we did not review the dinner menu. All of the venue's seats are stacked nicely so that there is no bad viewpoint. The seats are relatively comfortable and the theater is clean. The stage is large and there are good acoustics throughout. We appreciated that snacks were for sale during intermission; we bought some candied nuts that were a nice snack in the second half. Overall a great performance venue!

I hadn't been to the Power Center since undergrad (I'm a UM '09 grad), so I had no clue what the parking situation would be like. I used Google Maps to get there and FYI, it's not entirely accurate - it brings you to the Fletcher Center parking structure. It was $5 cash to park there, but I wish I knew to park on level 5 (where access to Power Center is) because I parked on level 2 and then took the elevator up. There's no signage regarding this, by the way - I had to ask the lady who was taking money for parking. The Power Center itself has a unique layout, and our seats (mid-balcony, row D, I believe) were very good - you could see the stage very well. The performance was great, too. They have bathrooms on the basement level (go down 1 flight of stairs from the main area) and also on the balcony level, but at least for the women's bathroom, there were only about 4-5 stalls on that level. I'd come back here again for a performance - seats are a lot nicer than Hill's (you have much more room) and I'm willing to bet that there's not a bad viewpoint in the house.

This Victorian facility was actively used for about 100 years until the 1980s when Amtrak, which by then was the operator of most of the remaining US passenger train operations, decided to cease service to Chelsea. The effort to restore the building began in 1985 by concerned members of the community who formed the Chelsea Depot Association. They clearly have done a superb job. It now appears to function as an event venue for weddings, etc. It also remains a structure to admire on the exterior as well.

We took the night as a "Mom's night out" for an early Mother's Day celebration and everything was perfect from arrival to checkout. We were able to rent out an entire floor and the accommodations were a dream. The house is stunning and so well kept and the host Auburn's attention to detail cant be forgotten. The most kind and thoughtful note was left for us and it made our early Mother's Day celebration together that much more special. It was so appreciated as it is incredibly difficult to travel anywhere with an autoimmune disease. We were celebrating our anniversary and they even decorated the room with a sweet banner! Highly recommend this little retreat!
