Little touches like having your lobster cracked table side makes this a very pleasurable experience.

(Not the whole brood) if you read my previous review, the following may make more sense. Smaller tables (including us) are sat in the dining room that features a beautiful large bar in the center. The bar seats many and is elevated from the dining room. The dining room has high windows that overlook the golf course, with a fireplace and is so much quieter. When passing through the buffet/large party room, to our table, it was a madhouse. Large tables, large families and lines of people at the food stations. The brunch at Polo Fields is popular. The food is excellent. The service was a marked improvement this visit. We saw the same waitress throughout our visit. Water and coffee was filled by an assistant that was on top of the refills in the room. We also enjoyed the drink specials available. Crepes, smoke salmon, salads, prime rib and ham, but don't forget the wall of desserts! This visit, there were always plates to be had and hot coffee in our cups. It was excellent food and a wonderful brunch experience. Our meal was comp but we paid for the drinks and my husband tipped her generously (~$40) as we would have if charged. We were lucky enough to have our wedding on a gorgeous day in June at the prairie barn, and we were completely spoiled with the attentiveness of the bartending, groundskeeping, and planning team. Guests absolutely loved our venue -- from the air-conditioned barn, stunning tent and table rentals, cocktail hour patio, fire pits,and luscious lawn that we got married on in front of a big oak tree! We had the property completely to ourselves from Friday-Sunday to set up, party, and clean up, which was an added bonus and stress-saver. I would recommend this venue to anybody looking to get married in a modern barn or farm venue. Since then, RHF has opened up the Nest, their kitchen & bar, which we also have loved frequently this past season!

We were seated at our table and given the cocktail menu. I ordered the rosemary greyhound. It was refreshing and had just the right amount of rosemary in it. They have a full bar and others at my table had mimosas or bourbon. The brunch menu had many choices, all looked amazing. At my table we had the short rib hash, the boursin cheese egg sandwich, the salmon egg scramble & the sausage, egg and pimento sandwich. Everything was excellent. The hash had amazing roasted potatoes, a nice amount of meat and two beautiful fried eggs on top. Actually, all the dishes came with a side of roasted potatoes that were wonderful. One of the things that I think would really elevate this restaurant is if their orange juice was fresh squeezed. However, it was quite good. We will be coming back soon to try the Italian grinder and the Nutella French toast. We are told that there is music on some nights and we did not review the dinner menu. Plenty of room for the projected number of guests many of whom did not attend. Tables decorated very beautifully with candle and flower centerpieces. Hot coffee, tea, and soft drinks available as guests walked in. Simple assortment of veggies for appetizers. Nothing fancy. Main course was a mixed green salad, pasta with a vodka sauce, green beans, lemon chicken, mixed roasted potatoes, roast beef and mushrooms in gravy, and bread. EVERY SINGLE THING WAS DELISH. Nothing over the top here. Plain and simply the best banquet food I have had in many years. Chicken and beef were tender and juicy. Pasta was hot and the sauce had a little kick to it. Beans and taters were not overcooked and mushy. The bread...oh the bread. Nice solid crust with a moist fluffy inside. And the servers were very polite and and keeping up on refills and clearing dishes. Our table was one of the last ones to be served and they couldn't give us the food that we had ordered because they couldn't manage the counts. The water constantly had some floaters in it. We were lucky they found entrees for us towards the end, but it wasn't what we had preselected it was just what they could pull together.

The pasta was a perfect al dente, and the sausage and peppers were high quality. There was also a nice antipasto tray with olives, cheese, and veggies, which was arranged very nicely. The general area is very nice. Never having been to that area of Metro-Detroit before I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was very nice. Our party had bocci ball courts attached, and many members from our group utilized them. I didn't get a chance to do so, but the courts were in great condition. The IABC has a ton of space for multiple parties, and parking to match. If I lived closer I would certainly host an event at this location, and suggest you do if you are anywhere nearby, looking for great food and a unique experience.

This Victorian facility was actively used for about 100 years until the 1980s when Amtrak, which by then was the operator of most of the remaining US passenger train operations, decided to cease service to Chelsea. The effort to restore the building began in 1985 by concerned members of the community who formed the Chelsea Depot Association. They clearly have done a superb job. It now appears to function as an event venue for weddings, etc. It also remains a structure to admire on the exterior as well.

I dont quite remember the capacity of the depot but we were able to set up many tables and chairs (that are provided in the rental). The kitchen area was large and cold and warm storage was available. We rented in the month of december and the depot was decorated lovely.

I knew he had to be exhausted - but he didn't show it. If he could do this for a tasting after he worked a long weekend, I could only imagine how wonderful the actual wedding would be. He was flexible on our choices and worked with our budget. The food on the wedding was the best I have ever eaten at a wedding/banquet. The beef tenderloin melted in my mouth. The pasta was done perfectly, and the flavor was incredible. His salad had the tastiest croutons. My guests also said that it was the best. It was a buffet style meal which I am not accustomed to, but I am so happy we did it that way. I was able to have a taste of everything - thank goodness because each item had its own unique flavoring and freshness. Hands down I would recommend Wesley's Catering. We rented linens for circular tables at a hotel banquet for my bridal shower and Delux were great…read moreto work with! They even met my mom at her car when she came to return the linens the day after the event so she didn't have to carry them inside. Great company to work with!
