Lamb chops are a separate charge here unlike other Texas de Brazil locations. Unlike the Fogo de Chao in Michigan where they are part of the included buffet price. They removed the lamb picanha!!! There are no current special seasonal dishes either and I was told perhaps not until summer! Spring just started! Alex was our attentive server. Jim the manager answered our questions well. My son and I bought the $70 dining card to receive twelve 1/2 of meals, so we have 24 discounted meals. He and I had water, while my wife had a soft drink for her birthday, though she would have enjoyed one regardless. The bill was just under $100 for us three. I am very disappointed about the lack of lamb picanha. Only having leg of lamb as part of the buffet is disheartening. Hopefully they will bring it back. I was considering getting a third discount card, but without lamb picanha or lamb chops I doubt I will. Of course we will be back as we spent $140 plus delivery fee to have physical discount cards. We saved $87 so the break even point will be our next dining experience here. I ordered the overpriced $13 carrot cake for my wife to enjoy for her birthday as the coupon for joining their website does not combine with the discount cards. Even though I had reservations AND it was lunchtime (not dinnertime) AND the restaurant was nearly empty, the manager still tried to seat me by the restrooms. Everyone else was seated by the windows. I had to insist on being seated elsewhere. The restaurant is relatively new and still retains its sparkle. The salad bar is at the back, with chill/hot sections. I paid attention to other reviews and zeroed in on the pineapple carpaccio. In addition, I had the hearts of palm, baby asparagus stalks, potato salad, and lobster bisque. Other people had recommended the latter and they were right. I had very little else from the bar to focus on the grilled meats. The parade of meat started very quickly after I was seated. The filet mignon was fantastic. It was well-seasoned and prepared at the right temperature. The picanha (spicy and garlic) was okay. However, I thought the lamb was too gamey (I usually like lamb) and the pork was too dry. I got full quickly so I was glad I did not select the chicken or sausage offerings. Brazilian bread, bananas, mashed potatoes, and fries accompanied the meal. I only requested the bread, which was hot and chewy, and the bananas were swoon-worthy good. We traveled across the state to eat here from the west side, and met up with some family for an overnight excursion. This restaurant did not disappoint, and I'd give this a solid 4.5 if we could rate partials. My biggest regret is that I wish I could have eaten more! We made same day reservations and had 3 or 4 options to select from. When we arrived we were not aware it was in a mall, so had to park a little ways away but it wasn't so bad despite the cold. Upon arrival, we were greeted immediately and seated within a couple of minutes. We were seated right next to the wine cellar, which was interesting to look at and didn't feel like we were in the "middle" of the dining room as others might have experienced. The waitress came quickly and explained the restaurant experience and took our beverage orders. Alcohol came a bit slow (we were nearly on our second helping), but water was refilled plenty. The salad bar was well stocked and kept being replenished and the meat coming around was never ending. They let you know most is cooked to "medium rare," though there were plenty of medium and medium well options as well. Nearly all of the meat was juicy, flavorful, and tender! Personally my five star favorites of the night were the lobster bisque, bacon wrapped filet, pecan crusted sirloin, and the carmalized pineapple slices (from the salad bar). My least favorite od anything I tried was the garlic chicken, but not because it was bad, simply all of the steak options were spectacular. Also tried the traditional lime caipirhina (others in my party tried the mango and coconut.) It wasn't my favorite, but I'm also not partial to traditional margs typically, I just wanted the experience. After a little while, the server delivered bread, fries, cinnamon bananas, and garlic mashed potatoes to the table. We were already getting full by then, so only tried a few bites of each. My kiddo (16y) loved the cinnamon bananas and I was a fan of the mashed potatoes, despite being so full! Finally, we decided to choose desserts, which are not included in the meal FYI. They had a nice selection, but I'd skip in the future. As much as I love Crème brûlée, for the price, it wasn't worth it to me as I was already so full and it wasn't spectacular. We all left satisfied and happy with the experience overall. While I've dined in a Brazilian steakhouse before, this was a much better experience - from ambiance to food quality, and I was happily able to eat much of the food as it wasn't too spicy. I came here for a Valentine's Day lunch date with my husband and had a great time! Lunch was an endless buffet of multiple different steak options and an unlimited soup, salad, and side dish bar. During our visit, there were servers walking around with cuts of filet mignon, chicken, Brazilian sausage, picanha steak, tri-tip steak, and others. Meat is served off of long skewers. If customers are interested, the servers will help slice off a piece of meat for each customer as they walk around. There was lobster bisque soup, savory mushrooms in sauce that made an excellent topping for the steak, charcuterie items, grilled pineapple, multiple salad dressing and topping options, and others. The meats were prepared medium rare, but customers can request for meats prepared to different levels if preferred. Each table also gets side dishes of roasted cinnamon banana, French fries, and Brazilian cheesy bread. We enjoyed our food and service, will definitely be back! read more

Pretty mid Brazilian BBQ. I've been to a bunch of different churrascaria places, and this was definitely the worst one out of them all. There wasn't that much meat selection compared to the other places I've been, and of the meats that were brought out, the cooking was just so-so, with many of the meats being rather tough. The salad bar was also just average, had some basics like potato salad, some slices of salami, cheese, and some hot food items like lobster bisque, but again selection was subpar compared to other Brazilian BBQ places like Fogo. The one memorable thing here was the passion fruit mousse dessert - just the right balance of tangy and sweet, though I wish there was more mousse and less of the graham cracker crust. Service was pretty good, our waitress was very friendly and courteous, helped us to take multiple sets of photos as well as bring out some of the meats which we were waiting for. However it seems like some things were not followed up on.. for example, she took our meat temperature preferences at the beginning, but this info didn't seem to be relayed to the gauchos. Additionally we were also asked if we were celebrating anything (which we were), but there was nothing special to commemorate. I know that we're not entitled to a free dessert or anything for a special occasion, but it would've been a nice touch. We came for a weeknight dinner, so it was $57 per person (+tax and tip). For that price, I really can't recommend coming here unless you're dying to have Brazilian BBQ and have no better options. read more

A few months back I had a weird health thing come up that knocked me out of commission for a few days. I finally managed to sleep about 15 hours and woke up STARVING but without the energy to cook anything or even go anywhere. I looked at what our delivery options would be and decided that a big ol' serving of meat would be very welcome after my very long nap. We landed on giving Texas de Brazil a try. I wasn't sure how a "buffet" managed a delivery but to our surprise, they actually did a great job! For delivery they offer a la carte options for different cuts of meat as well as a few different combos. I selected the Churrasco plate which came with my choice of two meats and two sides, two cheese bread puffs, and a side of chimichurri sauce. I opted for the sirloin and the flank steak as my mains and mashed potatoes and sauteed mushrooms for my sides. The portions were HUGE and my meat was cooked perfectly medium. It arrived nice and hot and I scarfed much of it quickly, but it was a huge portion for one person. I was able to get two meals out of it (btw--highly recommend reheating your meat in an airfrier if you have it, it heated it up perfectly, retaining that nice sear on the outside and a juicy interior). Add a third side a la carte and you could probably spit it between two people. Everything was great but I must admit, I don't really understand the hype for the cheese bread. I know it's a favorite and I love a nice puff/popover type of pastry but the aftertaste was just a little odd to me. But since most everyone is a fan I'd guess it's a me thing. read more

The service was fast and super friendly. The inside is classy. The meats came around very regularly. The picanha was amazing, easily the best one, but there were a lot of good options. The flank steak was super chewy though, but since there were many other options it didn't bother us. The side/salad bar was beautifully arranged and care was taken with every item. The au gratin potatoes were amazing, and the shrimp in coconut sauce was sooooo fresh and tender. I would have been happy if that was my whole meal. Even the white rice was flavorful. The traditional cheese bread was delicious... honestly aside from a couple chewy meats, everything was perfect. The caiprihina was so smooth and delicious- definitely a must try. We were stuffed so we didn't do dessert. It was worth the ~$60 a person. We will be going back! We came to celebrate a birthday, and for a restaurant that charges this much and presents itself as upscale, you would expect at least a small acknowledgment. A candle. A quick happy birthday. Something. Instead, there was absolutely nothing. No effort, no recognition, nothing that made it feel special. Then the dessert situation happened. Since this was our first time, we did not fully understand that desserts were à la carte. We genuinely thought it might be included as part of the all you can eat experience. Our waitress later admitted that it was her mistake and that she had not clearly explained it to us. So this was not just us being confused. Even she acknowledged the error. Despite that, the manager handled it horribly. The attitude was unbelievable. I have worked in dining service before, and if I ever spoke to guests the way he spoke to us, I would have been fired immediately. Instead of offering a clear solution, he kept repeating that he would "do the best we can," and then said it could be two dollars or maybe more. Two dollars? At this price point? That felt insulting. When we asked directly what the solution was and how much he planned to reduce, he would not give a straight answer. Just vague responses and attitude. When you are paying this much money, you are not just paying for food. You are paying for service and professionalism. That was completely missing here. Between the admitted mistake, the manager's attitude, the poor service, and the badly cooked meat, this place is wildly overpriced and overrated. I will never come back. If you want good meat and decent service, I would rather go to Golden Corral ten times than eat here again. What a great experience! Parking wasn't bad at all since the mall has a huge parking lot, so that was a relief. Came in with pre-made reservations and seated immediately. The inside was beautiful; they keep things very well kept because everything still looked new. The salad bar was full of amazing treats that were fresh and delish. And then the endless meat started rolling in. Every piece was hot and ready to be devoured. Every bite was seasoned miraculously and I just wanted more and more. Unfortunately, they don't have a physical list of all the meat options. You have to look online to see the list of meats offered. Needless to say, We tasted almost the entire list! Today we went in to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I did reservation one day prior. I was asked whether there is a special event and I said it is for my daughter's birthday. And I got called 2 hrs before our arrival to confirm the reservation. We felt so welcomed. They checked again for special event over the phone and at check in they asked again for any special event. We were assigned a table which is way out of the main lobby and is at the end by the emergency exit and in front of a waitress station. We did not sense the lively atmosphere and the publicity. The service is good and Food is fine but definitely not worth $430 for 6 even w/o drink or dessert. Welcome or birthday discount could not be applied even we applied a welcome coupon of 25% off for one person. No little acknowledgement for birthday at all even we were asked for so many times. Located at Briarwood mall, next to PF Chang's. At Texas De Brazil before 5:30 PM. There is a bit of a wait despite our 5:30pm reservations. Other folks are waiting as well. We are finally seated after a 22 minutes of waiting. Rather long for having a reservation if you ask me. Estefan is waiting on us today. She asked if we have dined here before. My husband said not at this one, she continued to tell us what the concept of Texas De Brazil is. I stopped her to let her know we have been to Churrascerias and Texas De Brazil before, just not to this location. She continued on with her explanation of what the soups were and that the meat is all medium rare and asked if that was okay. I said I would like my meats well done. She told me to inform the Gaucho. Ok. The lobster bisque was quite watery and didn't have any meat in it at all. Just creamy essence mostly. Disappointing. The Parmesan chicken and the bacon wrapped chicken are both moist and far as meat goes. The Parmesan chicken was the first stop meat to us. The filet mignon meat isn't too bad. Even better with the Chimmichurri, although it's also quite salty. My husband liked the picante beef. The salad bar was lame. Nothing special and certainly not worth $32. We picked the Brazilian cheesecake with caramel and pecan nuts on them as well as the three layered chocolate ganache cake. The Brazilian cheesecake isn't too bad, not too sweet, just sweet enough. The chocolate ganache is decadently chocolatey, the top layer is the better part of the layers. The cake dough is white spongey as far as texture, that's not so good. The Brazilian cheesecake was the better of the two desserts. Neither was worth $12 though. Would have been nice if Estefan had informed us when we ordered the dessert that they were a la Carte and that each is $12 a piece. I have never ordered or eaten or been physically able to make to dessert either at any Churrascarias at all. I see why. My husband was happy to get a taste of all of the red meats he doesn't generally get to eat through the year, although most weren't so good beyond the filet and the bacon wrapped chicken. The lamb and the Parmesan lamb is quite dry. The lamb is better with some of the mint jelly. The cheese bread is bland and not so cheesy, just chewy is all, nowhere near as good as Fogo. The redskin mashed potatoes are far too salty for me. The fries are bland and not crispy. Wow all of the salad items are super salty, feels like I am in Brazil again. Keeps you imbibing at least. The bacon wrapped chicken and the Parmesan chicken was the most moist meats and the better meats to me. The filets were decent, but too red and rare for me. The pork and the lamb was way too dry. My husband tried and liked the mint jelly with the lamb and tried the chimmichuri sauce with the beef and chicken too. Both were good condiments with the lamb and beef. The Brazilian dressing is good, it's like a gazpacho. Desserts are A La Carte here! I thought it was included in the price. Not so. I let Estefan know she should make sure to inform customers, so no one else makes that assumption. The menu and website is deceiving as I figured the dessert was part of the "and more". Dinner and desserts was $149.12. The Gauchos kept the meat coming to our table. Although one Gaucho in a rush decided to go behind me and caught my hair up against my chair and his backside as he could have gone down the open aisle instead to serve the guy between my husband and me. It was my first time at Texas de Brazil but I'm fairly familiar with the Brazil churrascaria (steakhouse) concept as I've been to a few Fogo De Chaos across the country (as well as the one in Troy. The steakhouse concept is consistent & it's fun! If you haven't been, it's all you can eat experience with servers walking around with large skewers of meat & they basically carve and serve you table-side. You have these little red+green coasters that you flip on your own when you're ready for more meat! Honestly, my experience at Texas De Brazil was pretty comparable to Fogo BUT Fogo has better pao de quejio (the complimentary Brazilian cheese bread). At TDB, though, you also get mashed potatoes, plantains and french fries brought to you. I didn't expect the inside to be nice/upscale but it was still fairly casual dress with many tables w/ kiddos, etc so it didn't feel stuffy at all. Some tips: *Make a rezzie via OpenTable. But bacon wrapped chickens were a over cooked and dry. But I highly recommend beef. They were cooked perfectly. I tried Brazilian soda . It is lightly carbonated and has a slight cherry flavor. The soda paired well with the foods. The salad bars were fresh and had many varieties. Deserts were in including in the price but unfortunately I was too full to have them. That is my only regret. My husband and I were celebrating my birthday and we had an enjoyable experience at Texas de Brazil two weeks ago on a Saturday. We had euphoria filling up on delicious meats of great selection. The service is always gracious and courteous. Thank you to the manager Marcelo, treating us with delicious birthday desserts via email club. We could not have remembered a more delicious dolce de lèche cheesecake. We would highly recommend the former, but if chocolate is one's obsession the chocolate cake is indulgently scrumptious. On my trip to Michigan my son insisted that we must visit this place to make my visit as unforgettable as possible. Little did I know how fab my dinner would be. We were greeted by friendly staff upon our arrival. I was glad he had the foresight to make reservations ahead because this place was really packed already. Wait staff arrived at our table promptly to explain the dining experience at this place compared to other steak houses. They immediately took our drink order, and since I drink alcohol, I opted for the lemonade. Which I must say was a step above Hot Dog on a Stick style lemonade. It was icy cold and delicious. I was surprised they wanted to charge for my refill, but it was well worth the price. My son and his friend really enjoyed the drink options, since they enjoy their alcohol. They ordered something but I'm not sure what it was, but it did taste good, and had a hefty kick to it. Now came the meats, and what delicious meat it was. I myself had not had any meat in years, since I only eat chicken. But I just had to try it, since it all looked sooo good. And it was cooked just right. I also indulged in the mushrooms, my favorite food of all. They also did not disappoint. Those bacon wrapped things were too good to pass up. I can't taste my food much due to allergy mess all my life, but bacon is one of the few items I can taste. Soo good we had to order more. That lobster bisque as so creamy and delicious, another food that I can taste. I was so full I could barely try the mashed potato's. Even though I was quite full by now, I could not resist that creme bruulee. It was warm and creamy. I am lucky enough to have a generous son who insisted that he would take care of the bill. I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience here. First if all, it's very beautiful and modern inside. Even the salad bar is stunning. Secondly, there are plenty of plant options and they are delicious! We planned on trying everything, but the salad bar was so filling, we passed on the meat. Salad highlights: charcuterie abounds, olives, hearts of palm, bleu cheese dressing and the pineapple carpaccio. Service was absolutely incredible. Super nice. Shiny and new. It's really pretty in here. Staff is warm and welcoming. The layout is a tad crowded, but I was super happy to snag a four top for just me and the hubs. Be warned our table got bumped numerous times, and I believe it even left a poor, super sweet and smiley server all bruised up trying to make her way through. Make a reservation! They did not have any open availability. Person after person was turned away as I waited for my husband to park. We, of course, thought ahead, making a sweetest day reservation a month ahead as I always have trouble getting a table for my birthday due to this made-up holiday. Wear some stretchy pants if you can. You will eat too much. Yes, even if you plan ahead. I started with salad bar and hot bar. I limited myself to tiny samplings of speck, Manchego, smoked salmon, shrimp salad, pineapple carpacchio, and a couple of artichoke hearts. I also made sure to get a little cup filled with some of the chimichurri for the meat and a small sampling of lobster bisque. The speck is way too dry and salty. The smoked salmon, artichoke hearts, and shrimp salad were just ok. Manchego was good. My husband loved the jasmine rice. Pineapple carpacchio was the big, fat, shiny star of the cold bar for both of us, though. So tasty!!!! The lobster bisque was fabulous but so rich that after a few spoonfuls, I knew if I didn't stop eating it, I'd ruin the rest of my meal. Moving on to meats, we flipped our token to green, and it was off to the races. Meats flew to us. Suddenly, I had four options on my plate, so I quickly flipped back to red. The bacon wrapped filet was overwhelmed by the floppy bacon, which overpowered the flavor of the actual filet. The leg of lamb was fatty and slightly overcooked for my taste, but both of the meats were still tender and juicy. Better were the pincanha and the garlic pincanha. The pork rib was good, too. None of the three were my top choice, but they were solid and tasty enough. Again, tender and juicy quality meats, they were just not as rave worthy as my faves were. I turned down all the chicken to save room because chicken is a waste of space, really. Also, a total waste is serving me french fries and mashed potatoes at the table. We skipped both. We each had a fried banana (plantain?) and tried a little cheesebread puff. Both were fine, but we just wanted the meat. I'm not complaining, but I feel guilty wasting food. My top picks by far were the flank steak (which shocked me), the beef ribs, the filet mignon (without bacon), and the lamb pincanha sirloin. The flank steak was the rarest of the meats and married perfectly with the chimichurri that I snagged off the salad bar. It was melt in your mouth fantastic. The filet, however, had the perfect char to medium rare middle and needed no accompaniment. It was so amazing that I got seconds of it. The beef ribs were super unctuous meat without having any actual pieces of fat. If you like a fatty flavor (like me), these are for you. The lamb pincanha was the absolute ideal doneness and perfect seasoning, too. Leaps and bounds better flavor and texture than the lamb loin. I was a bit taken aback that the lamb chops are an upcharge. 3 for 11 and 6 for 21 extra, I believe. As I just wanted one and my husband did not want any, I had to go without. Small sadness, but trust me, you won't miss them. We did dessert as it was my birthday. He opted for the Brazilian cheesecake, and I went for the junked up carrot cake. His tasted better but was incredibly dense and heavy. Two bites were plenty for me. The carrot cake was good with walnuts, raisins, pistachios, coconut, and I believe a touch of pineapple covered in cream cheese frosting. Still plenty tasty and much easier to consume more of it. The manager here is very attentive, and all of the wait staff and gauchos are on the ball. If you want something and don't see it (for me, this was the beef ribs and my second portion of filet mignon), just ask, and it will appear. read more

Work to be done. Dining area layout needs help, lighting and feng shui off. Staff mediocre, salad bar good, meat selection average. I did encounter a couple taking food and trying to act as if only one person was getting the buffet, the staff let them carry on and then charged them for 2 people at the end. I think this was risky as if they didn't have it, it could have went bad. I think the best practice would have been to speak to them about the issue quietly and give them the option to leave or upgrade to 2 people instead of having them continue on for a hour or more doing this. Lunch options should be available on Thursday and Friday. The price is expensive and the jury is still out if it was worth it for our family of four. read more

When we arrived, we were told that our occasion would be noted and that they would "take care of us," which we assumed meant a complimentary dessert--yet nothing ever came. We were quoted a maximum wait time of 35 minutes but ended up waiting an hour and a half. During that time, we ordered drinks at the bar, but both were poorly made, and after just a couple of sips, we left them untouched. The bartender never checked in or asked if something was wrong. Once we were finally seated, it took 10 minutes for someone to greet us, and they seemed unaware that we were their table. Throughout the entire meal, we only saw our server twice. We were never brought sides or bread, and eventually, toward the end of the meal, we had to flag down a passing manager just to get a small basket of bread with only two pieces. When it was time to pay, our server reappeared suddenly, offering to take our card--but we declined and asked for the bill instead, only to find that we had been overcharged by $70. While the food was excellent as always, the overall experience was extremely disappointing--especially for such a meaningful celebration. Since we were late to the reservation game for graduation weekend, we were lucky to snag an early reservation for our party of 6. There is the salad bar with a few hot dishes such as beans and lobster bisque. The gauchos walk around with the meats and will bring it to your table when your token is flipped to green. Two of us had the light dinner and the rest had the full meal. The food was pretty good although a few felt some of the dishes were too salty such as the lobster bisque (which had no meat). Overall, we were satisfied and bellies full. Service was friendly and efficient. A bit pricy for AYCE but worth a try. read more

Excellent food but at the high end for Brazilian steakhouses in pricing. Manager always excellent to speak with. Super clean bathrooms. Nice private/family bathroom as well. Service generally great. We have been three times. Dessert generally overpriced. Never drink alcohol so no clue on prices. Meat generally brought to table often. Pass on the chicken, bacon wrapped products, and sausage. Not because they are bad but the cheap filler meats unless this is your first time and you want to try " everything " or you have a favorite returning here. Stick with the great beef cuts. The lobster bisque makes a great dipping sauce if you are okay experimenting. I'd skip most of the salads except for some meat and cheese as these are filler foods too. Come for the steak products. $55 currently. Fill up on that. Buy a dessert somewhere else for you and your family to enjoy at home. read more

Please do not order from this restaurant on any food delivery service. I have ate at many Brazilian steakhouse restaurants, as you can tell by my photo. How in the world you can produce flavorless garlic pichana is beyond me. I believe their meat has been reheated more than Ronald Regan's let's do it for the gipper speech. They now have ribs which were very subpar. They tasted like they were par-boiled then had some sauce slapped on them plus a 2 minute grill when ordered. I'm not expecting prime, wagyu, or Kobe based on your pricing structure. I'd hope for an absolute minimal effort when it comes to grilling and marinating cuts of beef. The food is amazing and service is very fast. We made reservations and arrived early and ended up being accommodated early. Everyone is friendly and seem genuinely happy to be working there. The flights of meat came quickly as they should, drinks are good and salad bar had alot as well. read more

I've been a big fan of Brazilian Steakhouses for awhile and Texas De Brazil never disappoints! Went to check out the new Ann Arbor location this weekend and it was 5 stars like all of my other previous visits to the brand. Service here was better then I've seen at other locations and really on top of things. They always go for that sleek modern look and it sharp. One needs to come to Toledo. read more

This place is still new, employees are still getting the hang of things and it shows. You get a round card, one side is red the other side is green. You keep it on red if you are still eating salad or just don't want any of the meats they bring around to the tables. The problem was it didn't matter, as soon as we got our salads every 2 minutes someone would stop by with a meat and ask if we wanted some. This isn't bad per se but they have a selection of meats with different employees carrying it around so while we are trying to eat our salads we would get interrupted every 2 minutes by a different person. It sort of becomes annoying when you are trying to eat your salad, your cards are red side and you get asked constantly if you want sausage, beef, steak, sausage, pork, etc.... The atmosphere is nice but the ignoring of the red/green cards gets old fast. read more

Came here for my birthday, which happened to be on my birthday. We had reservations but still had to wait about 10 minutes, the place was jam packed. We opted for the $55 meat and salad Buffett for $36 you can get salad only, but honestly why even come to a Brazilian steakhouse if you are not going to have any meat. As soon as we were seated we could go to the salad Buffett which is a lot more than salad. They have lobster bisque, shrimp salad, cheeses, cured meats and bread. Honestly even though everything looked good, I grabbed some salad and vinegar dressing just to have some fiber and acidity to absorb some of the meat. All the meats I had were delicious I loved the spicy picanha, filet mignon, and lamb chops. All the meat comes out very quickly in fact so much meat came I had no room on my plate and had to slow them down there is absolutely no issue getting enough meat nor is there any issue getting the types of meat you want.
