Traditional caipirinha

We traveled across the state to eat here from the west side, and met up with some family for an overnight excursion. This restaurant did not disappoint, and I'd give this a solid 4.5 if we could rate partials. My biggest regret is that I wish I could have eaten more! We made same day reservations and had 3 or 4 options to select from. When we arrived we were not aware it was in a mall, so had to park a little ways away but it wasn't so bad despite the cold. Upon arrival, we were greeted immediately and seated within a couple of minutes. We were seated right next to the wine cellar, which was interesting to look at and didn't feel like we were in the "middle" of the dining room as others might have experienced. The waitress came quickly and explained the restaurant experience and took our beverage orders. Alcohol came a bit slow (we were nearly on our second helping), but water was refilled plenty. The salad bar was well stocked and kept being replenished and the meat coming around was never ending. They let you know most is cooked to "medium rare," though there were plenty of medium and medium well options as well. Nearly all of the meat was juicy, flavorful, and tender! Personally my five star favorites of the night were the lobster bisque, bacon wrapped filet, pecan crusted sirloin, and the carmalized pineapple slices (from the salad bar). My least favorite od anything I tried was the garlic chicken, but not because it was bad, simply all of the steak options were spectacular. Also tried the traditional lime caipirhina (others in my party tried the mango and coconut.) It wasn't my favorite, but I'm also not partial to traditional margs typically, I just wanted the experience. After a little while, the server delivered bread, fries, cinnamon bananas, and garlic mashed potatoes to the table. We were already getting full by then, so only tried a few bites of each. My kiddo (16y) loved the cinnamon bananas and I was a fan of the mashed potatoes, despite being so full! Finally, we decided to choose desserts, which are not included in the meal FYI. They had a nice selection, but I'd skip in the future. As much as I love Crème brûlée, for the price, it wasn't worth it to me as I was already so full and it wasn't spectacular. We all left satisfied and happy with the experience overall. While I've dined in a Brazilian steakhouse before, this was a much better experience - from ambiance to food quality, and I was happily able to eat much of the food as it wasn't too spicy. While definitely on the pricy side (a party of 5+ a few drinks and desserts with a healthy tip was a $4xx.xx+ investment), overall it was a really fun experience that I'd recommend for anyone looking for a fun night out. 5 stars would have been given for a) warning desserts weren't included b) better desserts c) a boneless chicken option

The dining room was electric that day, for brunch. Staff charming and helpful. Food reminded me of the Brazilian Dishes I remember from multiple trips. Caipirinhas lovely. Obrigado.

Great food and service. I tried not to eat too much and failed! The sides were great and I found I really like the flavor of lamb.

It is not like a Brazilian barbecue but a good one. It is undoubtedly the best in Michigan. They don't have a good variety of meals, but the buffet is good

What a great experience! Parking wasn't bad at all since the mall has a huge parking lot, so that was a relief. Came in with pre-made reservations and seated immediately. The inside was beautiful; they keep things very well kept because everything still looked new. The salad bar was full of amazing treats that were fresh and delish. And then the endless meat started rolling in. Every piece was hot and ready to be devoured. Every bite was seasoned miraculously and I just wanted more and more. Unfortunately, they don't have a physical list of all the meat options. You have to look online to see the list of meats offered. Needless to say, We tasted almost the entire list! And ended up taking our dessert to go; the Caramel cheesecake! It was the perfect finish! I would definitely return!

Located at Briarwood mall, next to PF Chang's. At Texas De Brazil before 5:30 PM. There is a bit of a wait despite our 5:30pm reservations. Other folks are waiting as well. We are finally seated after a 22 minutes of waiting. Rather long for having a reservation if you ask me. Estefan is waiting on us today. She asked if we have dined here before. My husband said not at this one, she continued to tell us what the concept of Texas De Brazil is. I stopped her to let her know we have been to Churrascerias and Texas De Brazil before, just not to this location. She continued on with her explanation of what the soups were and that the meat is all medium rare and asked if that was okay. I said I would like my meats well done. She told me to inform the Gaucho. Ok. The lobster bisque was quite watery and didn't have any meat in it at all. Just creamy essence mostly. Disappointing. The Parmesan chicken and the bacon wrapped chicken are both moist and far as meat goes. The Parmesan chicken was the first stop meat to us. The filet mignon meat isn't too bad. Even better with the Chimmichurri, although it's also quite salty. My husband liked the picante beef. The salad bar was lame. Nothing special and certainly not worth $32. We picked the Brazilian cheesecake with caramel and pecan nuts on them as well as the three layered chocolate ganache cake. The Brazilian cheesecake isn't too bad, not too sweet, just sweet enough. The chocolate ganache is decadently chocolatey, the top layer is the better part of the layers. The cake dough is white spongey as far as texture, that's not so good. The Brazilian cheesecake was the better of the two desserts. Neither was worth $12 though. Would have been nice if Estefan had informed us when we ordered the dessert that they were a la Carte and that each is $12 a piece. I have never ordered or eaten or been physically able to make to dessert either at any Churrascarias at all. I see why. My husband was happy to get a taste of all of the red meats he doesn't generally get to eat through the year, although most weren't so good beyond the filet and the bacon wrapped chicken. The lamb and the Parmesan lamb is quite dry. The lamb is better with some of the mint jelly. The cheese bread is bland and not so cheesy, just chewy is all, nowhere near as good as Fogo. The redskin mashed potatoes are far too salty for me. The fries are bland and not crispy. Wow all of the salad items are super salty, feels like I am in Brazil again. Keeps you imbibing at least. The bacon wrapped chicken and the Parmesan chicken was the most moist meats and the better meats to me. The filets were decent, but too red and rare for me. The pork and the lamb was way too dry. My husband tried and liked the mint jelly with the lamb and tried the chimmichuri sauce with the beef and chicken too. Both were good condiments with the lamb and beef. The Brazilian dressing is good, it's like a gazpacho. Desserts are A La Carte here! I thought it was included in the price. Not so. I let Estefan know she should make sure to inform customers, so no one else makes that assumption. The menu and website is deceiving as I figured the dessert was part of the "and more". Dinner and desserts was $149.12. The Gauchos kept the meat coming to our table. Although one Gaucho in a rush decided to go behind me and caught my hair up against my chair and his backside as he could have gone down the open aisle instead to serve the guy between my husband and me. I let out a bit of a sound since he pulled my hair tight, he didn't even notice as he was busily trying to serve the table next to us. :/

It was my first time at Texas de Brazil but I'm fairly familiar with the Brazil churrascaria (steakhouse) concept as I've been to a few Fogo De Chaos across the country (as well as the one in Troy. The steakhouse concept is consistent & it's fun! If you haven't been, it's all you can eat experience with servers walking around with large skewers of meat & they basically carve and serve you table-side. You have these little red+green coasters that you flip on your own when you're ready for more meat! Honestly, my experience at Texas De Brazil was pretty comparable to Fogo BUT Fogo has better pao de quejio (the complimentary Brazilian cheese bread). At TDB, though, you also get mashed potatoes, plantains and french fries brought to you. I didn't expect the inside to be nice/upscale but it was still fairly casual dress with many tables w/ kiddos, etc so it didn't feel stuffy at all. Some tips: *Make a rezzie via OpenTable. A couple of walk-ins were quote over an hour wait! *Costco has Texas De Brazil gift cards! Get you some for an even better value!

Cheese bread. Delicious

Good customer service. Friendly stuff , they ask for refill for drinks frequently. Clean and modern ambiance and family friendly. The meat they serve were great. But bacon wrapped chickens were a over cooked and dry. But I highly recommend beef. They were cooked perfectly. I tried Brazilian soda . It is lightly carbonated and has a slight cherry flavor. The soda paired well with the foods. The salad bars were fresh and had many varieties. Deserts were in including in the price but unfortunately I was too full to have them. That is my only regret. The price is high so definitely this is the place for celebrating special occasion.

My husband and I were celebrating my birthday and we had an enjoyable experience at Texas de Brazil two weeks ago on a Saturday. We had euphoria filling up on delicious meats of great selection. The service is always gracious and courteous. Thank you to the manager Marcelo, treating us with delicious birthday desserts via email club. We could not have remembered a more delicious dolce de lèche cheesecake. We would highly recommend the former, but if chocolate is one's obsession the chocolate cake is indulgently scrumptious. Would highly recommend this as a great date night or special treat.

Love the Brazilian lemonade. They also did a modified strawberry hibiscus caipirinha mocktail for me which was so delicious. I'm not a beef eater, but the family enjoyed so many delicious cuts. Picanha sirloin. Fraldinha bottom sirloin. Alcatra top sirloin. Costela beef ribs. For me, it's just lamb when I eat red meat. Lamb chops medium. Lamb picanha marinated with fresh mint, white wine and lemon then fire roasted. Yum! My favorite though is the salad market table. Slices of smoked salmon. Hearts of palm. Asparagus. Brazilian egg salad. Grilled cauliflower. Chickpea salad. I can actually skip the meat completely and be so satisfied. Try not to fill up on the pao de queijo, Brazilian cheese bread. It is so addictive!! Not sure why we needed dessert but the trio was a sweet way to end a great meal and begin a weekend filled with family and lots of love. Somehow we managed to sample the cheesecake brûlée, key lime pie and the decadent chocolate brigadeiro cake. So many delicious bites. Thanks to the staff who made this a night to remember. I ended up getting a smoothie because it seemed easier to take on the go. My order: Acai and Cupuaca with a Coconut Milk base, almond butter and coconut flakes for toppings (can choose 3 out of their list for free!), and added collagen protein as well. Cupuaca is new to me - I learned it's a tropical Brazilian fruit related to cacao that has a sweet and tangy taste that is often described as a tropical blend with hints of pineapple, banana, and pear. Smoothie was made to order and so tasty and refreshing! Really unique flavor. The almond butter was blended in which added a nice nuttiness too. What a delightful and FUN evening!…read more First time at this steakhouse. It was a party of four celebrating my birthday. As soon as we approached the front of the restaurant, I immediately felt like living back in Chicago. As we stepped inside and I took a look around, it hit me. Walking into this steakhouse feels like stepping into a vintage Chicago steakhouse/speakeasy. The doors open to the faint, unmistakable scent of charcoal-seared prime beef, aged bourbon, and pipe tobacco. Dim, moody lighting glints off polished brass fixtures and Art Deco geometric paneling, setting an atmosphere of unmistakable luxury. It wowed me. It has been a full year since I experienced this. This steakhouse is the pinnacle of indulgent dining, characterized by impeccable hospitality, expertly crafted dishes, and an atmosphere of refined luxury. It seamlessly blends the finest cuts of premium, dry-aged beef with white-tablecloth elegance and a sophisticated, but fun ambiance. Interiors feature dark wood paneling, rich leathers, brass accents, and low, warm lighting to create an intimate and timeless setting. White-Glove Service: The waitstaff are highly trained professionals who anticipate your every need. Tables feature crisp linen, heavy silverware, and polished glasses. The Bar: The focal point of the room is often an expansive, classic bar featuring a world-class cocktail program. Signature drinks include bone-dry martinis and perfectly balanced Old Fashioneds. Reminiscent of a top-tier Chicago steakhouse! The menu selection is fantastic, and the staff is wonderfully synchronized with a keen eye for the little details. Everyone at our table was wowed and completely satisfied. The lower level cigar lounge had tremendous atmosphere and it was the perfect way to finish the night. Highly recommended you try this place. Let me tell you a bit more about La Dolce Vita & Cigar Lounge. This cigar lounge is an adjoining gourmet dessert and cigar lounge. It allows you to wrap up your evening with fine wines, single malt scotches, and hand-rolled cigars, even featuring elaborate, over-the-top desserts like their molten "Candy Bar Bomb". I will also update the review and share all the great food and all the appetizers drinks and desserts that we had on my awesome birthday dinner! I wanted to love it but it was just okay…read more I thoroughly read reviews and ordered dishes that seemed popular and good however, I wouldn't say anything tasted outstanding. All our dishes were fine though, I guess that is why I feel a bit disappointed. Free street parking is great! And when we arrived at 5pm (opening time), all spots were basically full so I took that as a great sign. We entered the restaurant (fun vibe, red lights, music is loud) and were welcomed in right away. I was excited! So the cocktails are great but I would say nothing like overly unique but loved the Margarita (Earth, Wind & Fire), the El Cuco was pretty good, very ginger forward which I like but not spicy at all. The Old Fashioned (why no single ice cube??) was good also. Next, the appetizers: Beets (presentation is excellent) however this dish just tastes like beets (simple and fine), the sauce adds a nice touch but other than that, it was just like okay, nothing special (I wouldn't order again for that price). Next was the Carne y Hueso which we liked. The sourdough bread is not too sourdough-y (good for me since I don't actually like sourdough) and we asked about the best way to eat it which is to spread some bone marrow first then top with the steak tartare. I would say this had a very rich and meaty taste (I haven't had marrow much) which is expected. We liked it. Main: Black Rice with scallops (several small scallops hidden underneath). The black rice was chewy and tasted pretty good/flavorful. My hubby said the dish smelled a little like truffles?? but didn't taste that way (good because he doesn't care for truffles), I didn't think it did (I love truffles). The scallops had a very mild flavor. I would say if you love scallops you may be disappointed but this was fine for me since I don't. Bife- the steak was cooked to our desired level (medium rare) but seemed to lack flavor. I liked the chimibutter and we enjoyed the grilled onion that came with this dish. Overall, I would say the Bife was fine. The kitchen is open so you can see the flames of the fire for the grilling area & the fire pit outside seemed great (on a less cold/snowy night). Note, I think there are 2 separate single bathrooms (one in separate corners of the restaurant) but I didn't realize that until after I waited in a line to use it. Well, I like trying new places, some are hits and some aren't. Thank you for a nice evening Barda.

No updated time was given and half of the table reserved for us which we could see was empty and cleaned was given away which made our wait time even longer. We addressed the situation with host and she responded with "oh they will be quick i promise". As you can imagine that did not sit well with my party. After 4:30pm came around I asked to speak with a manager (Bill). I made him aware of the situation and he directed the host to seat us immediately.Upon being seated we received awesome service from both servicers right away. They told us that the manager would be out to speak with us shortly. When he did arrive I explained that we love Long Horn and we were expecting to be accommodated accordingly ( not for free but atleast accomadated) and assured me that we would be. Orders for all drinks, apps, and entrees were put in by 5:30pm and although the appetizers and drinks came out quickly we did not receive our dinner until around 8pm. We asked for updates and we're told the kitchen was backed up. When everyone finally started eating we noticed the food was cold, undercooked, over cooked. People were missing items etc it was just a big mess. So we asked for the manager again and made him aware of the cold food and he explained to me that it's too hard to assure hot food with a party size(15) this large. By this time we were very restless and just ready to go.Many people in our party sent their food back others just wanted a discount because they were still hungry. The servicers came over with all the bills and nothing was accomadated. We told her that this is unacceptable and that we are highly disappointed in our experience. We requested the manager again, but when she came back she told us that he was tied up with something else and could not come to us at that time. We were prepared to just pay the bill because we wanted to leave but then was told have a good night and the bill was taken care of. Shortly after half our party was gone the manager comes to the table and asked were did everyone go. We explained we waited and were told to have a good night. He then turns and yells/blames the servers for what happened. We all ended up leaving after that because we were so upset with our experience.

I mean that with full compliments and hope the menu is inspired more in that direction for future updates. Staff was wonderful and the venue was quiet, and that's because it's far more fine dining than hectic table-shuffling waiters in a open, noisy venue. I hope they embrace that more and open the menu for items priced closer to a more frequent dining experience vs. just for special occasions. I want to see quality like this succeed by enhancing so many pre-existing strengths.

The food was excellent, especially considering everything is halal. We had the steak, truffle…read morefries, and garlic mashed potatoes, and all were made just right. The steaks were perfectly tender and cooked exactly how we asked. Each item was uniquely flavorful and didn't feel generic like many steakhouses. The Australian Wagyu really stood out, and I can finally say I've had Wagyu. The Brazilian steak was good as well--more familiar in flavor, similar to what I've made myself on a cast-iron skillet, but still enjoyable. The sauces were solid overall. The chimichurri was flavorful but a bit oil-heavy for my preference. I liked it more than the spicy aioli, and the cowboy butter my least favourite. The servers were very kind and polite. As constructive feedback, they didn't seem very seasoned for a steakhouse, and I think the service could be elevated with some additional training. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated without being overly flashy. Lighting is slightly dim, which works, but the overall ambiance didn't quite feel like a steakhouse. The music was very low, almost nonexistent, and the place felt unusually quiet. The parking lot felt a bit sketchy, and the surrounding sidewalks aren't well maintained (not the restaurant's fault). This stood out when compared to the quality and cost of the food, which is expensive but fairly priced for what you get. Good luck and I hope this place ends up being a gem and people love it!
