I was approved, okay great. It was the going back and forth with documents that turned me away. Every time I sent a document, something was wrong. I had to get one document notarized twice. Then they told me I had to redo ANOTHER document that required a notary stamp, which IS NOT FREE. It got to the point where I just decided to keep my current loan. I started to feel like it was purposefully being dragged out. I could be wrong. Either way, it stressed me out and I didn't want anything else to do with it. I recieved bits of information throughout the process rather then all one time and communication was subpar. Well I didn't want to believe the reviews I read but it happened to me as well. Got approved than I was told to text, email or call back to finalize and did not get a response back. It just so happens my payment on my car was due that week. So I payed it, and what do you know they final contacted me back and said are you ready to finalize your refinance? Got another message saying they needed another document that I didn't provide and that they would need to re-pull my credit report because it has been a month already. Then I send them all everything they ask for again and then wait another 2 1/2 weeks. I finally get a decision and they denied me. The agent told me they would refinance my car and to not make my car payment because I would be getting a month free from them. So I didn't make my car payment and paid other bills instead. Then the refinance didn't go through because I recently moved and my car is registered in another state. So I had to use a lucky bonus I got at work to make my car payment late. After two months of jumping through hoops, this company told me my loan was denied because my job does not have a landline phone. after being told I was denied I applied at another company which took another hit to my credit. Only to get an email 5 days later saying they approved me and sent pay off check. I reviewed on facebook and the person replying said I don't know what to tell you. I called and spoke with a supervisor and they said they would call me back in 15 mins. No callback. I can't ever get anyone to call me back. They sent a check without my approval!! My current car company is still showing a balance and I will now have a car payment do with this company. I called the number and upon reaching a person I informed him there was no check in the envelope. He said that the over payment was meant I was over paying on my auto loan. I them asked again about the check. He went into a sales pitch and I over talked him demanding he inform me of the check that was suppose to be inside. I told him this was nothing more than a scam and I would be contacting the BBB to report his company. I also would be sending a letter to the post master general about their scam. I them hung up. I had to buy a car last fall, and with average credit I didn't get the best interest rate. But I took it, knowing I could make the payments, and refinance later when my credit improved. Credit rating is up, and I received a letter from Open Road telling me they could slash that interest rate and lower my payments. Since that was the plan all along, I took the time to apply. I was approved for a new lower rate and lower payment, and of course was very excited. So I went to all the trouble of gathering the documents they need, and was about to send everything in, when I took a closer look at the loan papers they wanted me to sign. BAIT AND SWITCH! My payment would now be one dollar and 32 cents HIGHER?! Nope. No thanks. So I'm still looking to refinance my auto loan, and very displeased with Open Road lending for wasting my time (including an unpaid day off of work, and driving around to various offices with four children to gather everything they needed). Do not use Openroad Lending! I received a pre-qualified letter from them telling me I'd been approved for a 7.xx loan which would have reduced my current loan rate significantly. But when I applied, they only offered me an 11. something loan. I wouldn't have let them do a credit inquiry if I'd known that they were only offering that rate. I'm due to get that rate anyway on my current loan in August. They did a bait and switch and when I complained and asked them to remove the inquiry from my credit they refused. My credit rating went up significantly in the last month, I have a lot of inquiries on my credit report as I purchased two new cars in the last 18 months, and didn't want any additional inquiries unless I knew I was preapproved. They said that because I'm self-employed that they couldn't offer the rate they stated in the letter. I know I'm self-employed and if I'd seen anything warning me that it was an issue, again, I would not have applied. I think this company is luring people in by offering lower rates and then making up reasons why they no longer offer that rate once you apply. If you talk to these people they talk fast and try to flim flam you. That seems to be how they all work because I spoke to a few other people and they couldn't explain much. If I asked a direct question they would ramble off something that didn't make sence. I think they are crooked and I would avoid using them as a lender. I worked with Jasha Phillips and I think very little of the way she handled the entire issue. Avoid them unless you are desperate! read more

I called customer services to find out why they declined my and the customer services wasn't have any clue why they declined me. Completely clueless of what they do. I'm in the lending business and they were just straight up lying to me. She had no clue what lenders they have and she had to put me on hold to know that. Then second time I called she said I can't tell you what lenders we have "for some reason" lol BEAWARE all the lenders they deal with are low tier lenders and only Ofer 20%+ interest rates they will not save you money. They deal with Exeter, Santander, Flagship, etc. which will offer you very high interest rate. Also said credit will be ran one time only which is BIG LIE. They are not lenders so they pull credit(1 ding) then they shop your credit to the 9 lenders they have and each time they submit it to a lender is another ding on your credit. I was planning on refinancing my car, but they lost my business before things were finalized. They originally promised me an interest rate of 10%, but after I submitted the documentation they wanted (registration, insurance, etc.) they increased it to 12% for no reason at all. This was still a better rate than what I currently have, so I still tried to go forward with them. They did not call me with updates when they said they would, and they made me submit proof of income twice and still said they did not have enough information. I provided months of paystubs and bank statements, and have since found other refinancing companies that have no issue with my income not being from direct deposit. Overall very unprofessional and inconsistent. Would not recommend and very happy to have gone elsewhere. read more

The process was really easy. Make sure you read the terms though. They will have several companies run your credit report. Thankfully, mine wasn't ran more than twice. But my rep Jalissa was great, walked me through the steps. Everything is done electronically, with exception of if you're in CA they require the original finance and securities agreement. *** TOTALLY DISREPUTABLE COMPANY *** I received a letter from OpenRoad Lending. The envelope was the unique type used by the U.S. Govt for mailing checks. The envelope was BOLDLY marked "Notice of Overpayment -- Check Enclosed". Of course, no check was enclosed--that was just a cheap advertising trick! The 'overpayment made' statement was clarified as meaning that I am overpaying on my current auto loan due to an excessive interest rate. The letter said I was "pre-qualified" for auto refinancing at a lower interest rate...and thus a lower monthly payment. I thought what the heck...it wouldn't hurt to complete their application process...but 'WOW', I was wrong! OpenLending ended up offering an interest rate and monthly payment higher than my existing loan. WORSE YET, I am now being spammed to death by other 'loan shark' lenders.
