I called ahead as I saw no one had booked the time before us (5pm). I asked if we could possibly come at 6pm since the booking before us was open. The person on the phone wouldn't even let me get out the fact that we were traveling over an hour to do this room. Very short..:"You can come at 5 or 7, that's it". Okay fine, my boyfriend is a game master so we figured there may not be a game master available at 6pm. When we arrived the guy at the desk barely said two words to us. Put a tablet in our hands with no direction. Again it was a good thing we had done so many rooms so we knew to complete the waiver. After that the only communication we got "first door on the left, good luck". Okay again....direction? Locks? Did you ask us if we had done a room before? Once in the room we had to wait over 2 minutes to get clues that were sub-par, and the game master failed to even mention that one lock was not necessary since we were not playing in competition mode. When we "escaped" the room we didn't even realize we had escaped. No enthusiasm from the game master what so ever. Sadly this is our first and last experience. Disappointing since we traveled over an hour for this one.

Our group of 6 was able to escape but definitely used some hints along the way. One item malfunctioned requiring the attendant to come in the room with us, but we were still able to move on. Lots of nice and unique components. It is a good way to spend a cold or rainy afternoon but they often book up on those days. Currently, we hold the record for 62 mins to get out of the room (allowed up to 80 on this particular room)

So if you're interested in those categories, make a mental note of a few games so you know what to play instead of searching around. I also saw when playing Rotten Apple, the controller accuracy was a bit off. I don't know if the game needed to be updated or what because the accuracy was fine when I played Shooty Fruity. 9.24.25 Update My wife and I slept very well last night --…read morethe bed was very comfortable. We made bacon, eggs, and coffee in the morning (I forgot the bread at home, so no toast this trip). After breakfast, we enjoyed some time on the patio before heading out for a walk. We stopped by the pool area at the main building. Staff told us that the pools are heated at the main building, we were surprised to learn the pool we loved on previous visits (with the great kids' area) is no longer heated. That was disappointing since we really enjoyed it before. I tested the main pool water -- it was cold, and even the indoor pool was chilly. It showed in the turnout too: only one person in the outdoor pool and nobody in the indoor pool, compared to how busy the other heated pool used to be. It's surprising that Marriott wouldn't keep the pools consistently warm, especially when guests clearly used them more when heated. I guess we'll have to see about going somewhere else. We'll see what happens tomorrow with our presentation -- though it still feels strange to have to sit through one when we paid for this package.

None of us needed skates but they are included in the price. I do not like paying for skates I don't need. After I paid they offered another in my party a military discount I didn't even know about. As a disabled veteran it bugs me to not be offered a discount a retiree spouse is offered. Ask everyone or post it someplace. Ok so the entire place looks nicer. It is now an up to date icerink. The ice however was still crappy. The ice where the zamboni goes has always had a big dip and messed up ice and it still does. I did not see any skate guards on the ice. They did have us all get off to clean the ice and that was nice. Overall the experience was pretty good. I wasn't unhappy. We all had a good time. We will go back for sure, even though it is the only ice rink in the area.

It was a perfect and memorable way to spend a rainy day with our soldier and give something new a try. Before you start, a staff member will walk you through the throwing technique for small, large, and one-handed axe throwing. Taylor explained everything clearly and effectively, and was encouraged us throughout our games. I felt safe with his instruction and observation. There are several mini-games you can play with your group, such as the traditional darts-style, zombie hunting, and candy crush. You get the lane for a whole hour and there is plenty of time to run through several games without ever getting bored.

We were on the first floor with a renovated room with 2 of the most comfortable queen sized beds and pillows I have ever slept on. I even took a nap I was so happy with those mattresses. The beds are a bit high so if you are short or have trouble walking you may have difficulty getting in and out of the bed. It was not a problem for me. The rooms are complete with all the basics sans TV or fridge. There is no room/maid services offered. The adjacent meeting room is small. We had 18 people crammed into this room for the weekend. The kitchenette is extremely small with a dorm sized fridge. This would not be a problem if the rooms had even a tiny fridge. They provide bags of ice for $5 which one of the employees brings from the kitchen. The air conditioner blows very cold air intermittently. I just kept a sweater I took off and put on. They offer meals options and Kai, a young chef, is very talented at cooking food for a group. The pot roast and mashed potatoes and gravy was fabulous. All the meals were well prepared and buffet style. I was not shy about helping myself and there was plenty for everyone. The grounds are very natural and easy to walk. The road to the retreat center is easily navigated but some distance from any kind of restaurants and there is no delivery service from the closest restaurants. I brought my own drinks and snacks but some people didn't and spent too much time trying to get pizza delivery. The staff I interacted with peripherally seemed very kind and helpful. The environment was clean well maintained. It is a Christian retreat center but was comfortable whatever your spiritual orientation.
