The young lady that helped at pickup was very helpful and knew the fit wasn't just right and quickly fixed the problem by having the Owner finish adjustments. It was so fast she took the glasses, turned a fan on bent them suckers like she was just you know bending my new glasses. I put them on and BAM no kidding perfect fit.

I have been seeing the Drs. at The Eye Care Center the past 3 years for my yearly eye exam. I had…read morerecently scheduled appointments for myself and my son and last minute needed to add my other son. I was planning just to give him my appointment and move myself to another day. The receptionist/assistant was very nice and helpful and offered to check with the Dr. who was able to fit all three of us in for appointments at our scheduled time. We were there less than an hour and on our way. I also like that I don't feel pressured to purchase glasses anywhere specific. They work with The Eye Glass Factory that is adjacent so they can help you if you would like but ultimately the Dr. writes your prescriptions and you can purchase wherever you'd like. We went back last Friday for my son to be fitted for contacts and the receptionist/assistant was great in teaching him how to put them in and take them out. He was quite nervous and she was very patient and helpful!

Dr. Kalra, however, had terrible "bedside" manners, truly inexusable, wouldn't answer basic questions, was terse, wouldn't even tell me the degree of vision degradation that I had (I answered this for myself with a 5 min google search using the diagnosis code, I have mild far hyperopia, far sightedness). I explained I hadn't been to an eye doctor in 20+ years and he didn't give me more than a few sentences, didn't even review my family medical history with me (which includes major macular degeneration). In summary, the ladies selling the glasses are great but the physician is a waste of your time and money if you have any reasonable expectation of physician/patient interaction.

That too!! I dropped a pair of glasses on a gravel road while walking my dogs. Two days later I found them after a car had run over them and done some severe damage. When one purchases glasses from them, they take excellent care of any repair needs in a timely and most cost effective way often for free as part of their customer service. For example, I have taken in glasses occasionally that were pretty badly bent after accidentally sitting on them and they were able to straighten out the glasses good as new right on the spot. Also, in this shop, when it is a quick repair, you can watch them work on your glasses...pretty amazing craftsmen. Friendly, professional, personable, and tend to remember who you are as a regular customer. I very much enjoy going there to purchase and repair my glasses. By the way, nice selection of glasses. I was amazed to see frames at Legacy as nice if not nicer than what I had been looking at in Cville. This is the place I will begin looking for my next pair of eyeglasses. Back to the lenses - Ali, the new owner, was beyond helpful and pleasant. He has worked in the industry for years and really knows his stuff. I'm so happy with my new glasses. The lenses are perfect. I especially like Dr Refahi - she was proficient in giving my eye exam and very thorough in explaining the changes in my prescription. She truly cared about the health of my eyes and discussed my lifestyle (time on the computer, my difficulty threading a needle when sewing, and sun glare off the river while kayaking) in order to give me the best advice possible on appropriate eyewear. The staff then used this information to help me select the best lenses and frames. Even better for me, the cost was considerably less than I had been paying for eyewear in the DC area. In all of my years I have NEVER been treated like this by any business. I do not care how good the doctor may be or not be, because their front office is seriously flawed. They also will tell you that they tried to call all the Friday before however your phone will mysteriously have zero record of any calls from them. After many phone calls this was the only place to squeeze me in right away. The staff was great over the phone. I have a 3 month old, and had to bring her to the appt with me alone. She started getting fussy during my exam and by the end she was full out screaming. Darica, Jen and Dedra saved the day! They kept the baby company, entertained and comforted her while I finished my exam. Dr Rebuck was very thorough and knowledgeable. I had an eye exam years ago and didn't feel the Dr took enough time with me, however I had a totally different experience at R&A. Dr Rebuck made sure we found the perfect prescription. After the exam, I attempted to shop for glasses frames, but the baby needed to eat. Dedra walked me back to an empty room and let me nurse my daughter in a comfortable and private space! She even made a sign to put on the door. When we finished I could finally focus on the frames. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, so Dedra grabbed a bunch of options. She gave suggestions on colors that complement my skin, and frames that complement my face. This is my first pair of glasses so it was very helpful to have her insight. I fell in love with the first pair! Dedra sat down with me and explained/offered add on options. She made sure we made the most out of the visit and my insurance benefits. They were aware I was going on a trip and wanted to have my glasses, and ended up getting them to me just in time, which was earlier than expected! When I went pick the frames up the baby was screaming her head off again. It seems to always be around feeding time, lol! Dedra held her so that I could try on the glasses and Darica assisted with getting the perfect fit. They are all so patient, calm and helpful. As a new Mom it's easy to get flustered and overwhelmed with a screaming baby, but their genuine care made me feel everything was ok.
