Dr. Kalra, however, had terrible "bedside" manners, truly inexusable, wouldn't answer basic questions, was terse, wouldn't even tell me the degree of vision degradation that I had (I answered this for myself with a 5 min google search using the diagnosis code, I have mild far hyperopia, far sightedness). I explained I hadn't been to an eye doctor in 20+ years and he didn't give me more than a few sentences, didn't even review my family medical history with me (which includes major macular degeneration). In summary, the ladies selling the glasses are great but the physician is a waste of your time and money if you have any reasonable expectation of physician/patient interaction.

I have tons of questions about contacts seeing how it's my second time to an eye doctor and first time trying contacts. I told them this up front befor everything mind you. They gladly took my money. The doctor told me nobody in the office had time to show me how to properly put them in my eyes. So I'm just confused to what my window of time for an appointment is for, me or them?? A week later here I am writing this after having to spend more money for glasses. Although I will say the staff is very friendly and the doc did show me once but I need some pointers because it's not as easy as he made it look! Just a lot of money spent and lost, and I'm not even convinced my prescription is correct!

That too!! I dropped a pair of glasses on a gravel road while walking my dogs. Two days later I found them after a car had run over them and done some severe damage. When one purchases glasses from them, they take excellent care of any repair needs in a timely and most cost effective way often for free as part of their customer service. For example, I have taken in glasses occasionally that were pretty badly bent after accidentally sitting on them and they were able to straighten out the glasses good as new right on the spot. Also, in this shop, when it is a quick repair, you can watch them work on your glasses...pretty amazing craftsmen. Friendly, professional, personable, and tend to remember who you are as a regular customer. I very much enjoy going there to purchase and repair my glasses. By the way, nice selection of glasses. Have never failed to find a pair I liked. Highly recommend this business!

I was amazed to see frames at Legacy as nice if not nicer than what I had been looking at in Cville. This is the place I will begin looking for my next pair of eyeglasses. Back to the lenses - Ali, the new owner, was beyond helpful and pleasant. He has worked in the industry for years and really knows his stuff. I'm so happy with my new glasses. The lenses are perfect. In all of my years I have NEVER been treated like this by any business. I do not care how good the doctor may be or not be, because their front office is seriously flawed. Block out the day before your appointment as a day off because you will need to respond to their late notifications by a certain time. They also will tell you that they tried to call all the Friday before however your phone will mysteriously have zero record of any calls from them. I see you OptimEYES!…read more Dr. Mohanan did my eye exam back in 2018 and left a great impression on me with her care and treatment. So of course I did my annual eye exam in 2019 with OptimEYES and received the same treatment I did the year before. Who knew an eye exam could be easy and flawless? I also needed new glass frames and Antonio swooped in and helped me pick out a pair that was stylish and comfortable. His patience and explanation of frames made the process stress-free. Ashburn is in great hands when it comes to eye care thanks to the people here. Keep an eye on them (pun intended)!
