I had to reschedule a missed appointment, because of an extremely stressful week, and she treated me like a criminal and like she was personally insulted that I had the audacity to miss an appointment. After telling me I couldn't reschedule until I paid a $35 missed appointment fee (its not what you say, its how you say it) she booked me 5 months out. Lady, you should learn how to smile when you talk and try not to take things so personally. Yes, that's what it felt like...like I did something criminal by "missing an appointment." Like I was going I flee the country without paying you $35 before you would consider rescheduling my appointment. Life happens. I've spent thousands there over the years. There are other practices around. I did not appreciate your tone.

While sometimes that thoroughness can come with a price -- in the form of a wait before your appointment -- ultimately it's worth it; just bring a book while you are waiting. Or, if you don't like that kind of attention, then just don't come here. In the end, when you leave, you will come out with glasses (or contacts) that are really perfect for your needs. I have come in with all kinds of weird things to say about my vision or why I don't like my glasses or the weird reaction I have to eye drops, and Dr. Twigg has taken all of my comments with a stride and has addressed all of my concerns seriously and methodically. I appreciate his comprehensive, rational approach and will time my visits to Berryville accordingly so that I can hopefully keep coming here. It also is crazy that the gentleman who helps you pick out glasses literally remembers every face who walks in the door. When I came in without my glasses but needing a second pair, he said, "ah, yes, willow ten inch with dragon heartstring..." or basically the glasses equivalent.
