I typically do not write reviews but was compelled to do so for Optima Vein Care. Similar to some of the reviews , the entire team treated me as family, always making sure I had the information I needed regarding my impending procedures or the steps to recovery. That said Dr. Bonavita is truly gifted. Not only did he transform my legs (which looked like a putting green infested with gophers, into something I can be proud of) but he did so with a sense of humor while offering a hand of friendship. It was something I don't find in doctors. Bottom line I wouldn't hesitate to send a family member to them. In fact I gave their card to my cardiologist who also has veracious veins. I started coming here after a family friend raved about Dr. Sos and the office. I've been receiving treatments from Dr. Stoffey. He explains what he's doing as he's doing it. Bring someone with you in case you forget something. They provide a lot of information. I feel safe and comfortable going here. Office staff is amazing and helpful. Bring shorts to all of your appointments or you have to wear the large blue paper shorts. They are not attractive. Love coming in this office. read more

Desired results from sclerotherapy can only be obtained when the specialist is meticulous about injecting every afflicted area. Partial attention begets partial results. I had been to Dr. Opie 4 times to get vein treatment performed. He was a miracle worker. My spider veins and varicose veins disappeared. Unfortunate he retired and when I went for a minor touch up the new Dr. made my veins worse. He injected ones that were fine and now look like huge bruises and the tiny one I wanted treated also looks like a huge bruise. I have given it 6 months to resolve, zero improvement. My legs look terrible. So sad, I went from highly recommending them to having to wear pants midsummer because of them. read more

Scottsdale office: had to go many times since May (8 mos) as the procedures string out so they can get $$. Also, they get paid up front for co-pay, then if you don't have the procedure as thought needed, after MD checks with doppler, then you fight to get the refund. Office staff not nice. I am giving them two stars...for now because they said it would cost $80 to come in an have the Dr. take a look at my spider veins. So either I pay $350 for a third treatment, or I'm out of luck. I asked them to send me the before photos. I have to fill out forms and send them back. I really don't see a difference and was told it would take two to three treatments. I've had two for $350 each and really don't want to pay for another session if I'm not seeing a difference. I was told to wait 8 weeks after each treatment, and was not aware it would take so long to see an improvement. I have a problem with them not seeing me after I spent $700 to give me their opinion. I have used them three times for laser vein occlusion therapy and all three were successful. But just completed the third and went back for the included schlaratherapy to clean up some spider veins in my ankle. Two days later I have a staph infection in that ankle. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic and sent me on my way . Three days later and I am barely better and no call to check from the doctor who caused it. Looking back the staff at the clinic are not registered nurses. I would never use them again. read more

I had a minor cosmetic vein that I wanted removed. I was reluctant to get the small procedure due to my paralyzingly fear of needles. Being a patient of Dr. Sos, I can say that Dr. Sos is excellent! He takes his reputation seriously and goes above and beyond for his patients. He is one of the nicest doctors I've met, who has a fantastic bedside manner. He treats his staff well and even runs errands for office treats, which was fun and impressive to see. Most of time, staff runs those errands for the doctor. The medical staff is very pleasant as well and assists the patient with diligence when needed. I have a vein in my leg that was giving me problems. Dr. Opie diagnosed my problem quickly and treated it expertly. My leg feels so much better and it looks better with those bulging veins gone. I am appreciative. I really liked Dr. Opie. He is an extremely skilled Dr. and in his spare time he apparently writes books. He has written about 6 thrillers. I went in for my first visit and was told they would check with insurance to see what is covered and then give me a call. They called two weeks later and told me which procedure would be covered. I asked what my deductible was and she said I did not have one. So I TRUSTED her and booked my appointment. I would say the procedure was ok. I still have numbing in the spot where it was done but was told that is a side effect. The part which led me to write a review (which I never do) is the fact that I received a very expensive bill from them. They were wrong about what my insurance would cover. I called billing department and was told it was my fault for not checking with insurance. So lesson learned. I just want others to have a heads up before booking procedures. read more

I was treated by Dr Sos at Optima Vein Care on Monday at the Chandler office. Dr SOS and his staff made me feel very comfortable and explained in detail what I should be expecting with my procedure. The following day they even called to checkup on me the next day and to answer any questions that I may have. I went to Optima Vein Care to have my spider veins treated They keep it simple and the cost is reasonable. I do not recommend Dr. Opi. He did not appropriately treat my spider veins. He didn't get the solution into the veins. I was treated and charged multiple times and got zero results. I changed provders to Dr. Seifert and had great results. Dr. Seifert is skilled at spider veins and I highly recommend him. read more
