I really like that this park connects to the South Fork Catawba River Greenway. It's pretty short, but a nice walk. It also connects to the town of Cramerton and another section of the Carolina Thread Trail down by the Catawba River. I'm sure the park itself is also really nice when it's not under construction. I definitely recommend checking out the trails that connect to it too.

The park has been open since 2012 and is in excellent condition. The park is 30 acres with hardwoods, vegetation and wetlands. It gets the interesting name from the town's founder, Stuart Cramer, who released goats onto the island to control the weeds dating back to as early as 1910. Once we got back in the car, the boys immediately were knocked out. I can see why families would enjoy coming here.

This is one of the most beautiful parks I've had the pleasure of visiting. There are beautiful views, playgrounds and lawn space for children's play, plenty of parking, trails for walking/bike riding, several bridges, and large trees to compliment the fields. The park is well-kept as everyone here ensures cleanliness and top maintenance. As my dad and I sat down on the bench and soaked in our surroundings, we observed a plethora of activity which included some people flying drones, kids competing in the playground's obstacle course, elderly folks walking, dogs running amok, people racing toy cars, and a few people cycling. The positive energy and vibes were radiant. I'm glad we stopped by here. Definitely worth a visit in Charlotte!

We thought this park looked pretty cool, so we drove over, parked on the road and walked around. It was a nice day and lots of other people were out. We walked around the lake and checked out some of the features like bridges, streams, bridges and an amphitheatre. There was also a playground nearby. So I took my kids there specifically because they have some fun stuff for toddlers and I have a 1…read moreand 2 year old along with my older kids. So we all went and at first glance looks like a lot of fun however the toddler area looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. It's almost like everything was donated after years of use. And the playhouse they had was a nice idea with lots of food toys in it to play pretend with. However the it's too dark in there. They need to add some sort of light because it's almost scary looking the difference between the bright play place and the dark house. the big play area for the older kids was fine. My older kids had fun going through the obstacle courses and sliding down the big slides . And it's probably too late for this change but who thought of putting swings right in the middle of a play place ?!! Anytime you see a play ground the swings are always off to the side for good reason. I had to save my one year old from getting hit by another swing while I was strapping my two year old into one of the swings. You should never put two swings right in front of each other they are always in a row for a reason. So I won't be bringing my kids back
