Especially the upper level of it, which has the playground. As you wind up the pathway (which is a one way street), you go higher and higher. It brings back old memories when I used to visit Paris mountain in Greenville, SC. Secoundly, picnic areas are all over the park, both in the upper and lower levels, with the biggest one overlooking the lake. And what a large and beautiful lake it is!! Lastly, there is a very well paved pathway that encircles the lake, which provides a 2 mile walk. It's great for anything from alone time to family time.

Lots of…read moreactivities offered here: basketball, racquetball, tennis, playgrounds, public swimming pool, trails, disc golf, and baseball fields. One of the newest amenities is the Kayak Launch recently added. It allows you to easily get down the steps to the river and kayak. I would urge caution with young children here, as there were not many rails and I can see an accident happening here easily if you look away for a moment. There are also picnic tables, both covered and not. The only real downside here is that sometimes the park has had a reputation for disreputable folks meeting here for drugs. They have done a good job of keeping that element out the last few times I've visited, with frequent drive-bys of staff. This is a great park that offers a lot for our community to be active.
