There isn't a technical desk for repairs and such at this location anymore which is a bit of a bother but I will say that every staff that I have ever dealt with is very helpful. It can get crowded depending on the time of day that you pop in and since customers rarely know what they are exactly seeking in terms of technology it can add to wait time. My contract is drawing to an end in a couple of months and unless there are better data offerings this might be my final go round with Verizon as a wireless provider. I will have been a customer for 18 years. Can you hear me now Verizon? Get on point.

Then when I checked in the through the digital system, I watched everyone around me who came after me, get taken care of. Some customers were clearly known to them or their their friends and some spoke their native language. I spoke up and told an employee what was happening and they just said "Have a good day". This is typical poor service of this particular local store as I have been in there 5 times over the course of many years with 5 Verizon lines in my house , and the same quality of service continues. Very frustrating. Verizon can do much better than this.

Since this space is new and I had a couple of questions of my own I decided to go along. This space used to be the Panera Bread and Radio Shack before that so its rather spacious. Social distancing is enforced and each of the staff stations has a plexiglass shield in front of them. There are a number of mobile phones to choose from but I will be sticking with Verizon since I didn't see any massive savings against what I am paying right now. Since they also deal with new cable accounts I tried to see if I could knock some bucks off my current monthly plan since its ridiculous but they could not oblige with this and suggested that I call customer care since they had more power to do that. I think I am leaning toward an Internet only process where I enjoy my streaming services and only use mobile but lets see what happens. Overall I found the staff that I spoke to friendly and willing to help. I've seen Yelps of otherwise but that was not my experience at all.

The low level customer service and the way the company bilks customers is astounding. They claim to be giving you a five (5) year price lock. In my case, two months later they change the name of your promotion to Promotion for Life. They say that this means that only the taxes can go up if they do, but not the price for the service in my case, $40.00 with $5.66 in taxes for a total of $45.66. Do not be fooled. All their promotions, regardless of names, can be renamed and repriced at any time. They actively promote Autobilling, which means they take the money directly out of your bank account each month. It is not worth getting a $5 reduction to have these crooks get access to your bank account. Once you provide them with your bank account number, they can help themselves to any amount. Prices with Astound change at the drop of a hat. They do this by claiming that your plan's name was changed. What this means is that they hiked the price. Am actively going to see if I can find a better deal elsewhere. These people are nasty and only interested in bilking customers. These are seasoned scam artists.
