We have had NO internet service at our vacation home in BHC since June 10th! Called and got someone from another country to schedule an appointment. We had a technician come out and tell us it is the "line from the street to the house", and he would put in a work order. Went to the Suddenlink office three days later to state we were not going to pay for the month without service-Only to find out that Damion never put in a work order! So we could not return to L.A. as planned until we scheduled another technician visit three days later to have the work order put in, which he did.. We had the same problem two years ago with the same diagnosis and they made a temporary fix....still haven't replaced the line. Nothing but lip service!!!! read more

NEVERE EVER Have service with SuddenLink again? Never ever! Paid big money for 1 GB Internet service. Rarely over 400 MB. Never approached one gigabyte. Most often 50 to 80 MB. Tested all hours of the day and night. And on a regular basis it would slow to a complete crawl and I would have no service for 20 to 30 minutes at a time. Worst customer service ever. Like with all internet providers, there are instances of interrupted service, for whatever reason, which I can accept. I don't like it, but I understand it. On July 9th we reported an internet service outage (which we noticed at 3:30 PM), and the technician (after we did all the unplug this, do that...) verified that there wasn't any internet coming into our modem so they set up a service call for the following day, July 10th. At 11PM the same evening, our internet service came back on, but by morning, it was down again. So, as we waited for the tech, (given the 12PM-5PM window), the internet came back up. Now when the tech arrived, service was working, which is bad, because now there isn't a problem. The tech did a few things to check the signal and then left. As soon as the tech leaves (3:30 PM), the internet goes down again. I called Suddenlink to get the tech to come back, but I was told the best they can do is Friday, 2 days later. Being that we have 4 students in the home that use the internet for classes and my wife working from home, I strenuously complained only to hear a multitude of ..."I understand but... I'm sorry but...". To make this long story (somewhat shorter), before the tech came out on Friday, after 24 hours of being down, the internet came back on. So, since it was now working, and I didn't want a repeat of 7/10, we cancelled the upcoming service call. We had internet service until 7/17, and then it went down again about 1PM. I called and got a recording stating that they have an outage in our area. I opted to receive a text when internet was restored which I got 7 hours later. All this leads to my main complaint. We received a bill for $60 for the service call on 7/10. Because there wasn't a problem at the time the tech came out, the service tech coded it as a "router issue" and because we own our own router, it's not covered. WTF!!!! They initiated the service call but because there wasn't an issue when they arrived, it was now my charge. I have spent hours trying to get this corrected and everyone I spoke to could care less. They listen to you speak, but do not hear or care about what you are saying... "I'm sorry, but there is nothing I can do for you" blah blah blah. One customer service rep (after I escalated the complaint) did a "20-day check" on the service in my area and only showed an outage for 2 hours today (7/19) over the entire 20 days. WHAT!!? I asked about the 17th when I got the recording stating there was an outage in the area and about the text saying service was restored (after the 7-hour outage). He said he doesn't show that. Unbelievable. I then asked to speak to his supervisor who just repeated the same script, so I asked to speak to her supervisor. She replied that he was on vacation and that she will send an email for him to call me. I asked for his name so I would know who to expect to get a call from and she said..."the email goes to a group of upper managers". I said "A group? Are they ALL on vacation?" She started to stammer and stumble over her words and finally gave me the name of her supervisor, whom she said she emailed and is supposed to call me. I then asked for the corporate headquarters address, and she told me to Google it. Bottom line is that Suddenlink is all about the money and does not care about customers. Their customer service representatives will give you attitude, but will not give you any customer service. It is a waste of time to talk to them as they have no authority, power, or desire to help customers. I am still going to wait for this call back, if it ever comes seeing how many call backs have not occurred as promised, but in the meantime, I will be changing providers. All this over $60 which I know doesn't affect Suddenlink in any way, but if I can prevent even 1 customer from choosing Suddenlink, and if they can sway another, and etc, then this letter was worth it. Maybe after 1000 people go elsewhere, Suddenlink may take notice and actually start to care about their customers, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Great job Suddenlink. Has anyone having problems with your cable listing, on channel guide on all channels says to be announced. Have been this way since Friday January 5th. Called them on that Friday and today January 8. I guess this whole area in Bullhead City City, Az of Ramar Rd. is having technical outage issues. They said techs are working on it. Can't record no programs, programs you set to record can't, and main thing is you don't know what's on, you can't change channels on guide, have to change channel one at a time. If I could give a zero rating I would. Have been trying to add an extra line to my home service. 3 weeks in and still no service. Have spent well over 8 hours on the phone to resolve the issue. Still no service. 3 different technicians sent to my house. Still no service. Rebooted modem 7 times. Still no service. Every time I call technical support I am told they will call me back. No calls returned. Tickets not recorded so you start all over again when you talk to a different tech service person. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I needed something to do while I was on terminal hold so I figured I'd whine about the horrifying ineptitude of Suddenlink to pass the time. I do not assume for one instant that they give one whit about their customers complaints here. So I am just passing time is all. I cancelled service when we sold our property. First they wanted $235 for equipment that they say wasn't returned. It was. Then thy billed us in December and took and automatic payment for service we no longer need or want. That was all presumably rectified in late December. Yesterday it should come as no surprise, we received a new billing saying we are due by 1-22-21 for the current month's payment and they debited our account for last month's service. Today again, they say it will be all taken care of and cancelled backdating to the original date of cancellation. We'll see. This of course has no value to you the reader of my tale of woe. For those of you that do not like Suddenlink, here is my experience today. Last night we had an equipment failure that prevented our TV from being connected to the internet. Called Suddenlink this morning and a tech came 5 hours later and replaced the faulty equipment. He explained what had happened and then upgraded our router while he was there. He then showed me how to check my internet speed which was about 100mbs. The fastest available from any other local carrier is about 20mbs and most are slower than that. I unfortunately have Suddenlink as my internet/cable provider in Bullhead. Their customer service is the worse I have ever seen. Trying to get an answer to a question is nearly impossible, they transfer you to Dallas and Dallas transfers you back. In fact they said we will have a supervisor call you back shortly. Shortly apparently means never. Pay the bill by phone that is $10 service fee, have a bill mailed to you that is a $1.00 service fee. At this point I am looking to switch to Dish or Direct TV, though I probably am stuck keeping Suddenlink for internet. It is like being held hostage with little hope for escape. read more

I was at one time very happy with Suddenlink, but seems as though their service and internet has taken a downward plunge for the bad. I am taking the bull by the horns with about 10 to 15 people who are fed up with them and have told them I will handle their needs. Problems are multiple re-down loading on programs you are watching and then loss of internet like DNS problem and lost internet connection which you can just shut off computer and go back later and get internet that way or shut down computer and unplug your computer internet box the do system restart, and some times does not work and you just do shut down and walk away and restart later. 2 of my friends always have problems internet lost and one has to go to work to hook up to internet to do her thing. My father has never been late on years of payments so color me surprised when I logged onto the computer to pay his bill and learned the fee for being five days past due is ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS. (Not many options for internet and tv in bullhead city) They continued to up our bill every month with hidden fees which we were told "your bill will never be changed". I switched from Frontier to Suddenlink on 3/23/17 and very disappointed. Customer service is very poor, I've been dealing with them all week. My alarm system no longer communicates with my monitoring company which is a big deal to me. With that and the cut wires and cut connectors left on the side of my house tells me it was a half ass installation. It shouldn't be this hard to get somebody out to fix this problem. Monday Frontier is coming out and I'm switching the phone back. And as soon as they get better internet in my area I will switch that too. Very disappointed. read more

Outages continue almost daily and Suddenlink billed us $120 additional for technicians visits that did nothing. We cannot afford to call anymore and are thankful we do not use their Cable TV. We use Over the Air and get 55 channels that unlike Suddenlink do not get interrupted! read more

I brought my modem back to the store to switch it out because the tech over the phone said they could not fix it and it is probably a bad modem which we just had for 2 months and am a new customer. In going to the store, the lady that helped me basically said I was an idiot and that the modem is not bad. After arguing and finally getting a new modem, I brought it back home, plugged it in, and low and behold it works! I have never been treated so poorly and they have no good customer service skills. I have been a loyal customer of Suddenlink in Lake Havasu City, AZ. for many years. I moved to Bullhead City, AZ in the middle of October, 2016. I decided to continue with Suddenlink since I have never had an issue with them before. People, stay away from Suddenlink in Bullhead City! They have no idea what they are doing, they send incompetent people to go into your home and drill holes into your walls that go nowhere! I have been paying for for 3 boxes, and only 2 have worked. They want you to pay $40 fees for service calls, when it's there service that is the problem. When I cancelled service they quoted me a $50 fee to come out and get their equipment. It would appear the only thing they care about is collecting fees and billing for equipment that doesn't work. read more

I cancelled services on March 3rd and they honestly pro rated 2 days billing at $12.50. Outrageous! On my last bill a charge of $3.00 extra to keep ESPN in their line up...not on my basic tv line up...but that that option was there for me. They were charging me $75/mo for just basic tv. When I have to deal with them I feel like I lost because they don't speak or understand American English or MY expectations nor do they have the slightest inclination to help and/or learn. I have had the internet service since Jan. 2020. I had my daughter move in with me and I did not want to pay DISH $125 to have somebody bring me a box to put in her bedroom, so in Aug. After several DAYS of calling "tech support" they sent a 2nd person who pretty much did what the 1st person did make several calls and THEY NEVER GOT TV to work! Now they not only want to charge for the "free" install they want me to pay for 2 MONTHS of TV which I NEVER HAD!! Been with loss of over 60% of TV channels since 7/20, internet buffers (haven't heard of that since dial up days). This is the absolute worse company I have ever dealt with. I live in California but came to our place in bullhead this weekend specifically for a long awaited appointment to fix my service which has been sporadic at best. Waited the entire day for my tech to arrive. They never showed. I called and was told if the tech did not show by 5pm to call back and they would have someone else respond. Of course I called at 5:01 and after being on hold for 35 minutes I finally hung up. I called again and learned that they had rescheduled my appointed a week later without my approval. WHAT!! This is crap and very irresponsible of such a large company. Unfortunately it's the only real game in town and it leaves us customers with little options because there is no other decent internet service around. We had a tech appointment and the day of (my husband took of work for this shit) the tech calls and the two of them troubleshoot over the phone. The tech never stepped foot on our property, but because of this Suddenlink charges us a missed tech appointment fee. WE DIDN'T ASK THE DAMN TECH TO CALL US but since he did we assumed our appointment was met and we were good to go. Imagine my surprise when I find a $60 charge on my bill for a missed appointment. Over labor day weekend of 2019 the company KNOWINGLY set their computer systems to shut down for repair or upgrade . By doing this it did not allow customers to pay bills on time . I went to my local Suddenlink office in Bullhead City Az. and they said that their office computers were down till Thursday . If the website is down, the pay by phone system is down and their offices have no way of taking electronic payments of any means ,how do you make a payment? Got hit with late charge , was on hold for 1 hr and 3 minutes and still nobody came on the line so I can dispute the late charge . I am not the only customer that received late fee. So the Only recourse is to pay as an honest person ,but also write into my State attorney general so an Investigation might be opened up on this matter. I ordered an internet line and had an appointment for Monday January 14. The installer came and couldn't get it working as there was an outage in my neighborhood. The installer made another appointment for Wednesday and he came and it still wasn't able to get it running. Now I have an appointment for tomorrow Friday for another attempt. I've called suddenlink about 4 times to try and find out when the infrastructure will be repaired. They promised to have someone call me back 4 times and still no call. I'm a brand new customer and am disappointed with their service already as they do not communicate with you.what a way to start a business relationship. I understand that maintenance can take time to diagnose and repair but 5 days without any communication (unless I call) is ridiculous.. the installer was great and is doing the best he can but it's a maintenance issue handled by a different department. I asked to speak to a supervisor on the help line and was told no supervisors are in the call center and to "keep calling back" until I can reach one! What? Ever since Sudden link took over the local internet provider it has been nothing but problems! Service is up/down up/down all day long unless it is down period which has happened at least once a month for several days each time. When you talk to customer service it is apparent that there is zero care factor about your inconvenience. Since Suddenlink has taken over our bill has gone up, service has gone down. Every time I call they say they are making improvements and it is obvious that there is really no way for them to get worse. Experiencing loss of channels and internet down frequently. Customer service told me I had to make two appointments (a week apart) to address each issue individually. During first service appointment the service technician stole some items when I left him unattended. First call to make a theft complaint was disconnected because system was not accepting calls due to technical issues. When I was able to get through later in the week I was informed that the technician had cancelled my second service appointment and supervisor would call me back to address the theft issue. Did not receive a call until three days later. Scheduled a third appointment to resolve loss of channels. On the date of the appointment I received a voicemail (while I was on the other line) stating that the appointment would have to be rescheduled because I did not answer the call when technician was on site. Apparently technicians do not know how to knock or use a door bell. If you choose Suddenlink in Bullhead City watch your technician closely and be prepared for very poor customer service. read more
