    Suddenlink Communications was extremely difficult with technical support! The automated system was…read morea terror, excessively long wait times, no resolution, etc. Heck, it took 5months for Suddenlink Communications to bury the cable flapping in the wind with each gentle evening breeze. Throughout the usual elevator music playing as I waited 10+ minutes, the call was interrupted by the standard automated urging to visit a website for help instead. (NO. I NEED HUMAN HELP HOMIE.) This process happened four times over a 2-day span. I fully anticipated the entire process, you know the call-for-tech-support-but-you-end-up-holding-forever-while-repeatedly-being-told-to-just-unplug-it joke? Well, slow clap for Suddenlink Communications because they are masters. My internet service with the company is slow but having 10+ phones, 3+ tablets, 2 laptops, 2 gaming systems and watching 2 internet tv's doesn't make it slower. It keeps right on chugging slow. Slow like pauses during online gameplay, pauses during shows, dreaded spinning circle during internet seaches. For the past week, all electronics are kicked off the internet randomly throughout the day and night. We can't watch an hour episode or play a full game of Madden without being kicked off. Calling is a option besides those wack turn-it-off solutions are wack but calling is such a loooooooooooong process. Livechat has the audacity to require your account number! I'd leave but I came to Suddenlink Communications because I had same issues with another company. Going on 30min+ and no end in sight. I wanted to officially have a response to report but...... geez.... holding past 30min usually ends with the call sounding a fax and hanging up on ME UPDATE!!! At 48min, I was able to schedule a tech for the following week.

You stay on hold for 20 minutes, at least, if you're trying to resolve an issue and they don't explain what this cable/internet issue was, because they don't want you to request a discount fir no service. I'm still waiting for Comcast to finish putting their lines in this area, so I can finally separate from Optimum forever!

I can not say enough nice things about him. I was very frustrated after a chat and phone calls with Optimum customer service over a two day span. Tyler knew exactly what was wrong when he walked in. He explained everything to me and made sure all my devices were connected to my new modem/router before he left. I've had two great experiences with Optimum and they have been interactions with technicians, real people, not AI chats and phone calls.

    Ugh... I have been trying to help my dad with his Optimum cable issues. For weeks his printers kept…read moredropping off the network. We have tried four different printers, resets, etc. So maybe it's the router. We exchanged the router and were told "it's activated and ready to go." Sure, that is after another hour spent with tech support on the phone. This doesn't happen some of the time, it happens all of the time! But, that fixed the problem, so it was an Optimum router issue. Now, one day later, the cable box is giving me an error every time I try to switch the channel with the guide. And the video goes on and off. I have been through all of the troubleshooting procedures with no luck. -Update. After some research and troubleshooting, I found that the cable box uses the modem/router to update the guide. It turns out that the cable box is incompatible with the new modem/router. Hmmm, you think that they would have known that when they issued us the new modem/router. I guess it's another trip to their store. I did find that connecting an Ethernet cable between the router and cable box fixed the problem after a reboot. -Optimum, your Yelp comments from "Business Owner" are not helpful. You see your one-star average review and are doing nothing about it. No business with one-star is worthy of the customers that support them!

    My wife and I switched to Tachus 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. We had cable through our…read morelocal affiliate and there were always issues with service interruptions and slow speeds. We were also traveling a lot so paying for cable we weren't even home to watch. When Tachus announced they were putting fiber optic in our area we signed up, the price was so good and they said it would not go up. The installers ran the service lines out by the street so they didn't mess up our back yard like Xfinity did. Overall the service has been great, Tachus has generators for all their main branch units so they never go down after storms. Recently we did have an issue with a poor signal that kept cutting out. I called tech support and they tried trouble shooting over the phone but couldn't resolve the issue. The tech guy on the phone said he would contact the local support techs and send one to our house. I'm thinking, "oh sure, this will take a week or more". I was so surprised that we had a tech service guy call us and say he would be at our home within the hour! His name was Alphonso and he was just great. He figured out we needed a newer modem so replaced it as well as the patch cord from the modem to the wall connection as it had gone bad. He even showed my wife how to change some settings on here laptop to get it running faster! All this and no extra charges or anything. Good reliable service at a good price, we are staying with Tachus!

    A frontier lineman came into our yard to move all the cable and other internet lines from an old…read moreutility pole to a new utility pole the city had installed. I returned home and approached him and said "I would prefer if you access the pole from....when he RUDELY interrupted me and cut me off with this info when all I wanted to do was let him know that where he had his ladder was an unsafe area as we have bunnies who dig burrows in that area and there are "air pockets" or "spaces" underground that we can't see. I didn't want him to get hurt as he was high on that ladder. Things got ugly with him trying to "mansplain" his rights, blatant disrespect, and bad attitude so I let him know that he was a class-A jerk and went inside. His little ego was hurt so bad he would get even with me and decide to INTENTIALLY SABATOGE optimum cable lines. He left them not hooked up property and disconnected. They left our cable line to our home hanging so low I could touch it and another line dragging across our back fence. So now my internet is out and I have to go through the trouble of contacting my provider and setting up an appointment for repairs. I will NEVER use frontier because of this crappy experience.

    Frontier is only concerned with charging you. I would highly recommend searching for a different…read moreprovider. They will charge you regardless if your internet is working or not. They will attempt to keep you from cancelling by offering "on hold" which comes with a hidden fee not stated on the phone or any record sent to you. A restocking fee of $50, for real! A restocking fee how idiotic is that cash grab? Absolute garbage. Frontier makes sure to not let anyone else have the title of the worst provider as their customer service is head and shoulders the most deceptive and useless. Save yourself the headache and look for someone else. If you have no other choice, I feel sorry for you. Frankly, after experiencing them, I'd say it would be more favorable to be trapped in a room with a mountain lion for five minutes than spend five minutes on the phone with them.

From what I can tell this place put an extra $400 to $600 in "fees" on us. I do not believe I would pay this at a real Verizon store. I went ahead and paid the fee for the human assistance. At the 2 hour mark it was obvious that the store wifi was too slow to complete the data transfer this century I went home with instructions on how to complete the setup and to call back to store for assistance Well I needed to call the store and could only get robots and China on the phone I could not call the store So I drove back. The guy working told me how to do it and I came home and am almost finished hours later I should have ordered the phone from Verizon and done the setup at home If you must go to a store go to a real Verizon I also tried to call corporate Verizon for help I finally got past the robots to a human for technical assistance and it was China again She spent 20 minutes trying to upsell me. Then she transferred me to another robot that was incapable of answering my questions I'd tell you not to use Verizon but sadly they're all this bad

So they took our IPhone 14, and gave us $0 for it, and charged us $1500 for a new phone we didn't need. 12+ visits to the store, and numerous calls to customer service have resulted in nothing but delay tactics. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! Go to any other location!!!
